It's a cozy shop. I always ask the chef for recommendations, and it never disappoints.

The last dinner of the overnight stay, I wanted to eat raw liver sashimi, which is about to be discontinued, so I headed to my usual Shouki-san. But, unexpectedly, it was closed (T_T). It seems like this overnight stay has no luck with food... Well, the ramen for lunch was good d(^_^o). However, I couldn't think of anything as I drove home, which takes about 5 minutes on foot from my house. I decided to go to a place I have never been to before. Today, I was accompanied by only my son, who can't drink alcohol, so there was no need to worry about a driver. This place sells grilled meat for bento boxes during the day. I have never bought anything here, but my son has and he says it was delicious, so I had some expectations! Inside the restaurant, there were about 10 guests, mostly in a group. There were three table seats and about five counter seats, but we were seated at a table. I ordered the assorted grilled meat, tripe, kimchi, and rice, along with a draft beer. That's all I needed. The assorted grilled meat arrived quickly. It included lean meat, tongue, and tripe, with a few grilled vegetables. The hormone meat was delicious, but the regular meat was a bit... maybe I made the wrong choice. The tripe was tasty! However, the dipping sauce didn't suit my taste. It's a matter of preference, I think. It was better to eat it without any sauce. The grilled meat bento with this sauce might be good. I would like to try buying a bento next time. Located in Yamashina-ku, Kyoto, is Kyoukei where they grill the meat over charcoal. While they offer special assorted plates like premium beef and hormone, I opted for individual cuts like top tongue, top kalbi, top loin, and top skirt. The tongue was a bit lacking, but the top loin, top kalbi, and top skirt were of good quality and quite delicious. They only had one type of sauce, so I thought having another option would be nice. The service was also quite good, with attentive staff, so I would like to visit again.
