★4.0【FILE 4179】July 29, 2023 (Saturday) 12:52 Visited a cafe in Akabane Nishi, located on the first floor of a building just off Benten Street, which opened 6 years and 6 months ago in January 2017.《Current Edition》As of May 2023, there has been a decrease of 1 store, leaving 24 stores remaining. The interior of the cafe has a calm atmosphere with beige and wood tones. Upon entering, there are a total of 5 seats: 3 counter seats at the back left and 2 counter seats at the front left, making it very small. It was already full when I arrived at 12:52, with 2 people waiting. By scanning the QR code for registration, I received a notification and was able to pass the time in a cool place. I was notified at 13:35, 43 minutes later, and was seated. The customers were all women. The service was provided by 2 female staff members who were polite and had smiles on their faces. The menu includes: ◆Assorted Scone Plate - 1550 yen (tax included) ◆Cakes - Triangular Rare Cheesecake - 680 yen (tax included) - Simple Cheesecake - 550 yen (tax included) - Chocolate Banana Cheesecake - 580 yen (tax included) - Smiling Gelato Sandwich - 750 yen (tax included) ◆Parfait - Petite Peach Parfait - 750 yen (tax included) ◆Pudding - Apricot and Peach Pudding - 580 yen (tax included) ◆Cafe - Apricot and Peach Blend - 550 yen (tax included) - Iced Coffee - 550 yen (tax included) I ordered the Triangular Rare Cheesecake for 680 yen and Iced Coffee for 550 yen, totaling 1230 yen. The Cheesecake + Coffee was served 14 minutes after ordering. The Cheesecake + Coffee was presented on a wooden round tray with the Triangular Rare Cheesecake, Drip Iced Coffee, brown sugar, milk, and water arranged in a cute and stylish manner. The Triangular Rare Cheesecake had fruits inside, and the crispy tart crust combined with the moist cheesecake was very delicious. The Drip Iced Coffee was rich and had a hint of bitterness, making it very tasty. The cafe has a calm atmosphere with beige and wood tones. The interior is small with only 5 counter seats, but only 4 seats are actually used, creating a cozy and cute impression. Despite the limited space, the display of cakes inside the cafe adds to the charm, and the interactions between customers and staff members were impressive. Various cashless payment options were available at checkout. The Triangular Rare Cheesecake + Iced Coffee for 1230 yen was beautifully presented, harmonizing with the atmosphere and concept of the cafe, making it a very delicious and comfortable experience.

Behind Akabane Station, there was such a cute shop called Anzu to Momo that I had been curious about on Instagram. I visited for the first time on a Sunday around 2 pm. Luckily, there was no one in line. There was one customer already eating in. In front of me was a takeout order. After me, a group of two came in to eat. The other customers waiting to dine in chose to be contacted by email when a seat was available. The shop is very small with only 5 seats in a row - 3 seats and 2 seats. The 2-seat table felt a bit cramped for one person. Only one group can be seen in front of the showcase, so those waiting for takeout sit outside. The staff were friendly and had a nice café-like vibe. I ordered the scone plate that I had researched in advance. It costs 1650 yen and comes with scones and two cakes of your choice. Since the strawberry shortcake usually runs out by this time, I added the chestnut glass shortcake for an extra 100 yen. I also chose the pumpkin cheesecake as it was a seasonal limited edition. The scone was a chocolate chestnut flavor. I didn't order a drink as it was a bit expensive. The scones take a little time to bake. The scone plate came on a wooden tray and the scones and cakes were adorable. It was a dream come true! The food was delicious. The portion sizes were small, but I managed to finish everything. On the way back, I stopped by Tokyo Pet Memorial Park where I have three pets resting. The new white building of Toyo University looks stunning! I hope to visit the university's cafeteria or café someday!

Today, I visited Akabane Hachiman Shrine for the first time and then entered this cozy little café. There were a few seats for dining in, and even though it was around 11 am, there were already some customers inside. I ordered a pudding a la mode and a cold café au lait, and after paying, I took my seat. I later checked reviews and found out this place is quite popular and can get crowded, but I was lucky to find a seat easily today. The items I ordered were carefully prepared, taking a bit of time, but I didn't mind as I took photos of the lovely interior while waiting. The pudding was firm and a bit tricky to scoop, but with the added whipped cream, it was delicious. I was advised to peel the skin off the Kyoho grape served on the side, so I saved it for last to avoid getting my hands dirty. There was a handwashing area in the café, so it wasn't a problem. I wanted something not too sweet to drink, so I opted for a café au lait without any syrups, and it had a gentle sweetness from the milk without any bitterness. The staff was very friendly, and the interior was charming. I noticed many customers opting for takeout, and I heard there is a takeout-only shop nearby, so I might visit there someday too.

I happened to find this place by chance while I was looking at a pin on Google Maps. They have matcha and white chocolate scones (2 for 590 yen), as well as plain, sweet, and savory scones in packs of 2. They also sell cakes and quiches! I bought cookies and scones, and both had a lovely buttery aroma as soon as I opened the bag. The cookies were crumbly and the scones were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They had a strong buttery scent but weren't overly sweet, making them perfect with coffee! The shop is small, but the service was great, and the other sweets looked delicious too. I would definitely buy from here again if I'm in the area. They also sell miscellaneous goods!

Anzutomomo Akabane - A shop located about a 5-minute walk from Akabane Station that I often visit for shopping in the neighborhood. The exterior of the shop has a lovely atmosphere, and although the interior is not very spacious, there are a few seats for dining in. The staff is very polite, and it seems like there are many regular customers based on their interactions. I tried the following items this time: - Mango Pudding: The cute yellow color and impressive visual presentation. The smooth mango pudding in just the right size can be enjoyed in seconds. - Yogurt Jelly: Using a classic shape, the yogurt jelly was unexpectedly delicious. The intense flavor of the cherries didn't overpower the balance and cleanliness of the taste. Drinks: - Iced Coffee: The balance of bitterness and acidity in this black coffee was perfect for me, who enjoys black coffee. The refreshing aftertaste was ideal for this season. I will definitely visit again.

Akabane has a completely different atmosphere between the west and east exits. After having a drink in the main street, if you come to the opposite side of the station, it's a completely residential area. The town looks fashionable and livable due to ongoing redevelopment. I also found out that there is a university campus here. I visited a cafe behind Ito-Yokado to have tea. The exterior and interior of the cafe are small and lovely. The seating inside was full, so I got a takeout. I had a cheesecake with orange on top. The cheese was moist and rich, but with a lightly refreshing taste. I can't quite put my finger on it... it's like feeling the kindness of the maker through the cake. The coffee for takeout was also small and cute. It's the kind of cafe that you would want to stop by if it was nearby.

On a holiday afternoon, I walked about 5 minutes from Akabane Station to visit this place. It is located just behind Ito-Yokado. The shop is very small and was full, so I had to wait in line with a buzzer. After about 20 minutes, I got called in. The interior is small with a counter seating arrangement facing the wall, but it is decorated with cute dried flowers and wreaths on the white walls, creating a very tasteful and adorable space. I felt very relaxed. You order by looking at the showcase first. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and my companion ordered the scone set. All the sweets are handmade, so I had high expectations. Soon, the cheesecake was elegantly served on a round plate. The cheesecake was rich but not too heavy, with a subtle and simple sweetness. It was delicious. The coffee also had a clear bitter taste that was enjoyable. The scone in my companion's set was outstanding. It was delicious even without any toppings. Adding cream made it even more flavorful. I was told there is a takeout-only shop nearby, so I bought several scones on my way back home. If there was a shop like this near my house, I would visit frequently.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Due to spring break, the small interior was full. I had to wait outside for about 20 minutes before being seated. The staff provided warm and kind guidance, making me feel comfortable. The desserts were as sweet and delightful as their service, and the coffee was rich and flavorful. Unfortunately, I could only try one item this time due to my stomach condition, but I look forward to returning when I can try a full plate of their offerings! ☺️☕️

I saw this place often on Instagram and decided to give it a try. It's not too far from JR Akabane Station. The small restaurant with only 5 seats was already full right after opening. However, since most customers were dining alone, they finished quickly and made room for the next person. I ordered the Mon Scone Plate (1550 yen) which included whole wheat scone, rare cheesecake, and a choice of two desserts - I chose the rare cheesecake and sakura cheesecake. The scones were made with whole wheat flour and both cheesecakes had a rich flavor and cute appearance, satisfying both visually and in taste. The staff were friendly and cute, and the plates were adorable. It's no wonder this place is popular among women. They also have a takeout-only shop and a crepe shop at another station. It was a delightful experience and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the store right after it opened, but couldn't get in on the first round and had to wait about an hour with a ticket before entering. The store had only 5 seats, creating a calm atmosphere, and the staff were very kind. I ordered a scone plate which included matcha and white chocolate scone, cherry blossom cheesecake, chocolate pudding, and brown sugar milk tea. The scones were surprisingly delicious. There is a take-out specialty store nearby, so I bought cherry blossom scone, brown sugar cookie, and strawberry tart to take home. The brown sugar cookie was so delicious that I would like to try the freshly baked ones in the store next time.

This is a cafe near Ito-Yokado in Akabane. The seating is limited, but you can also eat inside the store. I decided to eat inside. While I was eating, there were many people getting takeout. Glass desserts and other items seem to be exclusive to dining in. The staff were kind and it was a soothing atmosphere.

I arrived around 11:30 on the weekend and there were already 4 groups ahead of me... The cafe has around 5 seats, so the turnover rate is slow. They give you a numbered ticket when they open, and you can check your turn from your phone, so the waiting time is not a big deal. It's convenient that you just need to be there within 15 minutes. The dried flowers are cute, and as a fan of light-colored cafes, my excitement goes up. The scones seem to vary by day. On this day, it was a white chocolate scone. It was warm, fragrant, and just the right level of sweetness with a cocoa aroma. The white chocolate's sweetness was balanced nicely with the butter that melted in your mouth, not dry at all, which I personally liked. For the 2 desserts, I chose ◯ Buttermilk Manje and ◯ Strawberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake. ◯ Buttermilk Manje was like a cream cheese and milk pudding, milky and flavorful. It was more like a rice cake than a pudding, with a nice texture and not too heavy. ◯ Strawberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake was on the sweeter side due to the white chocolate, but the balance was achieved with the strawberries inside the cheesecake. And it's so cute... It's a baked cheesecake, but relatively light and easy to eat. My friend ordered Tiramisu and Cupcake, which also looked delicious. There was a customer who ordered takeout, so it's a cafe where you can easily drop by. I feel like I could come here alone too. LOL. ===========

I searched for a cafe in Akabane Station on Tabelog and found Anzu Tomomo. I decided to visit and found 5 people waiting outside on a Sunday. The staff came out and gave us a numbered ticket. We registered our email address by scanning the QR code on the ticket, and would receive an email when a table was available. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were called inside. We ordered the following: Strawberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake for 580 yen (tax included) and Christmas Blend coffee for 550 yen. The cheesecake had a gentle sweetness with a nice balance of strawberry acidity. The coffee was made with high-quality beans and had a rich flavor. Since the place was small and crowded, we enjoyed our food quickly before leaving. The staff kindly wished us a Merry Christmas as we left. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about this cafe for a while. In the Akabane area, there are many individually owned cafes with long lines, and this one is no exception. I stopped by in the afternoon and was able to go in without waiting. As many people have mentioned, the customer service from the cafe staff is excellent. They are not just following a manual, but their natural and positive attitude shows their love for sweets. It's no wonder they have loyal fans. The interior of the cafe is white with cute hydrangea decorations. Now, onto the most important part - the taste of the sweets. The panna cotta and pudding were smooth and had a gentle flavor. The coffee and milk tea were also delicious. When I left the cafe, there was a long line outside. With only 5 seats available, timing can be tricky, but this is a cafe I would like to become a regular at.

Anzutomomo Akabane is a cafe and pastry shop located about a 5-minute walk from Akabane Station. I ordered the scones and dessert plate that were mentioned in their Instagram post. The shop has around 5 seats and is always busy, with many people also getting takeout. They also have a store in Kitaurawa with the same concept, so be sure to visit the nearby location! (Menu ordered) - Anzutomomo's scones and dessert plate with 2 types of desserts ¥1,550, including pumpkin pudding and pumpkin cheesecake. There is a small shop called "Anzutomomo" tucked away behind the Ito Yokado in front of Akabane Station. It used to be run by one lady, but now there are two. The shop is tiny and can only fit three people inside, but they offer homemade cakes and drinks. I used to just order coffee and sit outside on a chair made from a beer case. Today, I bought some homemade sweets which were delicious. The shop is always crowded with women, even though it can only fit three people inside. I haven't had a chance to eat in yet, as there are only three seats available. Today's takeout included rustic homemade cakes, such as the Mont Blanc Blancmange priced at 580 yen for three. It consists of layers of Blancmange, whipped cream, and chestnut cream. The Blancmange is similar to Bavarian cream.

Maron Blancmange & Chinsuko @ Anzu Tomomo I had been curious about this shop as I often see customers lining up at the supermarket nearby. When I finally went, I found a small cake shop. I decided to buy and try it out. The shop is small, with a cozy interior. I opted for takeout instead of eating in. [Maron Blancmange] A creamy, subtly sweet blancmange topped with rich chestnut paste. The chestnut flavor is strong but not overpowering, balancing out the overall sweetness. [Chinsuko] Unlike Okinawan chinsuko, these are ball-shaped and have a unique appearance. They are mildly sweet with no unpleasant aftertaste. The shop is compact and has a cute atmosphere, but the operation could be improved. If that is addressed, the waiting time for customers would decrease, and purchases could be made more smoothly. I think it's a bit of a shame as the taste and atmosphere are good. Thank you for the meal~

Anzutomomo @ Akabane (@anzutomomo_akabane) "Coffee Shake" "Pumpkin Cheesecake" Anzutomomo, who has been looking forward to the pumpkin season! I'm happy to be able to visit this year! And I'm even happier because they started serving Coffee Shake from this day! "Coffee Shake" was a lifesaver in the lingering summer heat. The aroma of coffee and the sweetness of vanilla make me happy. The coffee bean chocolate coating on top is cute, fun, and delicious, just like Anzutomomo. It's sweet yet refreshing, and I could drink it down easily. "Pumpkin Cheesecake" has a strong acidity from the cheese with small pieces of pumpkin scattered throughout. The pumpkin texture is not very noticeable, but it's refreshing and easy to eat. The chewy texture was also nice. Thank you for the meal. Since moving to my current home, I have visited this place several times, but this is my first review. About five years ago, there were still times when it was not crowded, but now it is a popular spot, so it always seems to be full, regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend. I visited around 14:40 on a weekday. As expected, the place was packed. It happened to be a morning cafe day when I visited, so they seemed to be closing, but they allowed me to get a drink to go. They also mentioned that it was okay to use the chairs outside, so I took advantage of that. I always feel that the service here is great, with friendly and kind staff. I ordered an iced Vienna coffee, which was topped with mint on top of whipped cream. I had planned to relax and read a magazine I brought with me, so I only took a photo instead.

Visited at 3:00 pm on a regular day. It's a small shop with only 5 seats. Managed to snag the last seat and then waited in line. Ordered an iced coffee for 500 yen and added 100 yen for a float. The cute waitress kindly explained the options, so of course I went with that. Also ordered a mango pudding for 580 yen and a mixed berry and white chocolate cheesecake for 580 yen. The desserts are served together on one plate, which seems to be the trend. The cakes are small, so it's assumed you'll order multiple treats. The mango pudding is smooth and creamy, starting with a refreshing mango flavor and ending with a gentle taste. The cheesecake has a light taste with just the right amount of white chocolate. Both desserts are not too heavy and perfect for enjoying every day. The cafe has a warm atmosphere with little notes from kids and attentive service from the staff. Overall, it's a lovely cafe where you can enjoy delicious treats and feel cozy.
