Grilled chicken skewers cost 160 yen each (payment via PAYPAY). They only accept orders for two skewers at a time, so it's not ideal for solo dining. The taste is average. The restaurant has a small counter-only seating area. It takes quite a while for the food to be served. When I requested takeout, the grilled chicken came wrapped in aluminum foil with a separate lemon.

This is a yakitori restaurant that I have been to many times. They cook the skewers perfectly, bringing out the full flavor of the ingredients. It's always crowded, which shows how popular it is. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely go again. I will eat with gratitude for all the ingredients in this world. Calling all the delicious food♪ The more I eat, the more power overflows♪

After the rainy season ended, the heat felt like it could melt everything, so I thought about having a draft beer, and then I saw a red lantern! I ordered a variety of items: heart, liver, kimchi, hip, kawa, shio, ham, crab, ears, shiso rolls, green onions, banban chicken, cheese grilled rice balls, rice, pickles in sweet vinegar, edamame, and draft beer. The freshly grilled chicken with draft beer was delicious! The menu was unfamiliar to me as someone from the Kanto region, but that's also part of the joy of traveling.

A counter-centered yakitori specialty restaurant. There are also several other menu items. Perhaps because it is a tourist spot, the service to foreigners was smart. The thigh (momoiro) was the juiciest among the items I ordered! I couldn't help but order more. It was early, so we were able to sit down without a reservation, but it quickly became full, so it must be a popular place. I will visit again if I have the chance.

Located near Nijo Castle in Kyoto, this is one of the branches of the yakitori specialty chain restaurant Daikichi. The name is pronounced "Daikichi." They offer a variety of izakaya dishes in addition to yakitori. One of their dishes is the Toritama-don, which is a bowl of rice topped with yakitori simmered in egg. It's similar to oyakodon but with a different nuance. The dish is served with plenty of sauce, allowing the rice to soak it up nicely. The portion size is not overwhelming, making it perfect for enjoying alongside other dishes.

I felt like having some yakitori but Akaroji was a bit far, so I went to Daikichi. Their regular holiday is on Thursdays. We visited as a group of two and ordered: draft beer, sweet potato shochu on the rocks, highball, chicken skin, tsukune (meatball), pork belly, fried cartilage, Daikichi bowl (they also have a small size which is great), and a variety of pickles. The total came to just over 4,000 yen. The freshness of the oil was not the best, but the grilled items were delicious. Especially the tsukune, which was surprisingly juicy and fluffy, not what you would expect from Daikichi (no offense). I usually don't order tsukune because many places serve cheap and disappointing versions, but this one was really well-made. The restaurant is small, with two young men grilling and one woman serving. Even though it was past 9 pm on a Saturday night, the place was packed when we arrived. We will definitely be back in the future.
