I happened to be at the Muji Yamashina store, so I decided to stop by this shop that I haven't used before. They have a ticket machine system where you buy your meal first. This time, I chose the yakitori bento where you can pick your own skewers. I paid using my transportation IC card. I went to the counter and selected my yakitori skewers - I chose chicken tenderloin, tail meat, and liver. I didn't have to wait long for my order. I went to the food court and tried the yakitori. They were all delicious. I think it would have been just as good to order the yakitori skewers individually instead of getting the bento.

For dinner that day, I decided to try the Danba chicken grilled with rock salt and herbs (780 yen) and two skewers of minced chicken and green onion (170 yen). When I got home and started eating the grilled chicken, it was tender, juicy, and simply delicious! My wife handled the skewers of minced chicken and green onion.

This is a restaurant review of a shop in the food court of Muji. When approaching the shop to place an order, an elderly woman was warning the staff that there were "hard tendons" in the food. The staff explained that it was probably "seseri" (chicken neck), but the tendons were indeed very hard. Even after trying two pieces, both had a very loud crunching sound. The sauce was tasty, but it might be better to avoid the tough parts. Orders for yakitori were made by purchasing tickets from a vending machine, which could then be exchanged for the desired skewers at the shop.

I tried the yakitori restaurant inside the Muji store in Yamashina for the first time. I ordered one each of "negima," "tsukune negima," "seseri," and "sasami umeshiso maki," and split one each of "liver" and "heart" in half, totaling 10 skewers for two people. Each skewer was priced at 180 yen, so the total came to 900 yen for the plate in the photo. The "negima," "tsukune," and especially the "seseri" were delicious, and I felt that it was worth the price. However, there were some skewers with average flavors, so overall, it is still quite expensive.
