The bar is located on the 3rd floor with a great panoramic view of the Kamogawa River. It was easy to find with a clear sign on the 1st floor. The window-side with bottles lined up occasionally changes its lighting to pink, purple, or blue, creating a cozy atmosphere. The clientele was calm and there was a slightly international vibe. The master was friendly and easy to talk to. Unfortunately, the colors don't come through well in photos.

The view of the Kamo River is amazing, and the bill came out to be 27,001 yen per person for two people.

Located above Kappa Sushi on the second floor, this stylish BAR offers a great view of the Kamogawa River as you head up from Shijo Kawaramachi to Pontocho. The 300 yen seating charge is amazing. The owner is friendly and will make any drink you ask for. The large speakers and comfortable sofa seats create a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy delicious chocolate and Long Island Iced Tea. The red wine in the wine glass is large and very tasty. I recommend sitting at the counter and enjoying the neon lights of the Kamogawa River at night with a delicious cocktail.

The restaurant opened over 10 years ago, I think it was in 2000... The whole interior was dyed pink with pink shades on the ceiling... It was the perfect place for a date, you would feel so romantic there!! Now, it seems like they have fewer shades, which is a bit disappointing... But the atmosphere seems to be the same as before, it's a very quiet place where you can relax. There's always a handsome bartender making cocktails at the counter, so it's okay to go alone!!

When you think of night views, you usually imagine seeing them from a tall building, but there are also night views like this. It's like a panoramic view. It was beautiful because you could see everything. I only ordered a gin and tonic and beer, so I'm not sure, but the gin and tonic was not bad.

I had known about this place for a while, but I finally got to go. It was tough climbing up to the 3rd floor, but it was worth it for the view. I definitely want to go again. It's a stylish shot bar where you can overlook the Kamo River at night. This time, I went with a friend, but it would have been better to bring a girl along. The drinks were delicious, and the bartender's stories were really interesting. We had a great time with my friend. The prices were a bit high, but with that view, it's worth it. Next time, I want to bring a girl with me.

I visited an away bar in Kyoto, where I had been a few times last year. It was on the third floor of Pontocho. The view of the Kamo River from the counter was beautiful. The bartender was handsome. Ah, nothing has changed. I thought they wouldn't remember me from a year ago as a tourist, but when I placed my order, the bartender said, "Long time no see... right?" I replied, "Yes, it's me." And then he said, "...Kaneko-san, right?" I was surprised that he remembered me. It's a quiet bar in Pontocho, not really for tourists, but I like sipping my drink while gazing at the dark flow of the Kamo River. I will definitely visit again next year.

You climb the stairs to the third floor of the building where Kappa Sushi in Pontocho is located. The stairs are not too steep, so it's not too difficult. In Kyoto, where there are no tall buildings, many of the shops on the east side of Pontocho sell the view of the Kamogawa River, but the view from the third floor offers a different perspective of Kyoto, even for a Kyoto native like myself, and it feels fresh. The windows lined up on the side from the counter offer a view of Sanjo to Shijo, with the night view of Gion on the opposite bank. First-time visitors will likely be captivated by this scenery. It adds a romantic mood to a date. While the biggest selling point of this restaurant is the night view, I also appreciate the courteous attitude of the male staff. I often visit alone, and enjoy chatting with the staff, who are not only friendly but also maintain a sense of propriety. The calm atmosphere makes it great for a date, or for groups with the spacious sofa seating. You could also unwind after a long day by sitting at the counter alone, enjoying the view of the river.

"Although I thought Kyoto nights would have a refined and nice atmosphere, it was different... Many people may have felt this way. Kyoto has an elegant image and seems calm, but actually walking around places like Kiyamachi Street with many bars can change that image. Gion, for example, has many calm establishments, but when it comes to prices... that's when you might prefer drinking around Kiyamachi. However, Kiyamachi is popular because it's more affordable. Especially with students having welcome parties every night, it can get pretty lively... The scenery is nice, but the surroundings are noisy, making it hard to relax while drinking. This restaurant solves all those worries by allowing you to enjoy a leisurely Kyoto night while overlooking the Kamogawa River. It's perfect for those who want to drink slowly in Kyoto!"

I found out about this place through a friend's recommendation. When you enter the shop, you can first see the night view of the Kamogawa River from across the counter. The interior is decorative but not overly flashy, creating a calm atmosphere. Since it's a bar, there is no food menu, but they have a wide variety of charms. I often go with friends or colleagues, but it's also perfect for guests who are not from Kyoto or for a romantic date to end the night. The bartenders are all handsome and exude a certain charm. The selection of drinks lined up on the counter is extensive, making it difficult to decide what to order. When in doubt, it's best to leave it to them. It's truly a cool and stylish place.

Once a year, I visited this bar. The staff were good-looking and polite (although there were a few exceptions), and it felt nice drinking there. The purple and orange ceiling decorations are apparently meant to resemble a woman's uterus. When leaving, all the staff bow their heads for about 10 seconds. It seemed like a very sincere gesture from the perspective of someone still there. You can see the Kamogawa River from the window, making it a great spot for a date.
