On my way back, after a long time. I used to only buy croissants here, but this time I also tried canelés for the first time. The mini croissants are 155 yen for 100g, and the mini canelés are 280 yen for 100g. I got 100g of each. They are just the right size for a little snack. When I got home and opened the bag, there were 5 mini croissants and 8 mini canelés. The mini croissants brought back nostalgic memories and were delicious. The mini canelés are bite-sized, and compared to others I've had before, they are less sweet and have less alcohol flavor.

On January 17, 2020 (Friday) around 5:30 p.m., while traveling for work, I was transferring from JR Kyoto Station to Kintetsu Kyoto Station. In between these two stations, there is a bakery shop called "Mini One Kyoto Station." I had passed by this shop countless times on my way to work, but I had never stopped by before. A while ago, I heard from an acquaintance that they always buy the small croissants from here whenever they are nearby. So, I decided to give it a try. The shop seems to be next to another shop called Donq, and they share the kitchen, so both seem to be operated by Donq... I'm not sure though. There was a line of about 7 people in front of the shop. It's quite a popular shop. After waiting for about 3 minutes, I reached the counter. There were 5 types of croissants displayed in the showcase, all priced per 100g. - Mini Croissant... 168 yen per 100g (tax included) - Mini Chocolate Croissant... 200 yen per 100g (tax included) - Aomori Apple Ribbon... 281 yen per 100g (tax included) *This seems to be limited until January 31. - Mini Frank... 324 yen per 100g (tax included) - W Chocolate ○□△??... Name unknown, sorry... I bought: - Mini Croissant 199g - Aomori Apple Ribbon 213g I ordered both at 200g but was informed that there might be slight variations in weight, which I accepted. The Mini Croissant had a crispy surface coated with sugar, with a fluffy texture inside that emphasized its sweetness. The Aomori Apple Ribbon had a delicious combination of croissant dough and apple syrup, which was sweet and sour. The apples had a slight crunch, making it enjoyable. Both were simple and delicious in their sweetness. I can see why they are popular and have repeat customers. Thank you for the wonderful meal. ♡♡♡♡

This time, I used it for dinner time. It's a shop that sells mini bread by weight. I was unsure what to choose, but this time I bought a mini croissant. Purchased items: Mini croissant 168 yen/100g. The mini croissant is a cute size croissant with a subtle butter taste and aroma, with sugar coating on the top. The sugar coating may be unnecessary. The shop has a beautiful display, but the staff's customer service was unfriendly and lacked a business-like impression. It is a bakery in Asty Kyoto.

I found a delicious mini croissant inside Kyoto Station. Croissants are usually sold in larger sizes at train stations, but the taste is surprisingly good. It's a nice snack to have while traveling. The price is reasonable, and they sell it by weight starting from 100g. It's perfect for sharing between 1 or 2 people. However, Kyoto Station is so big that I got completely lost.

I sometimes buy it when there's no line. It contains about 5 pieces in 100g. It costs around 170 yen. I have it put in a bag, and the sweet, fragrant aroma is irresistible. It's moist and chewy when you bite into it. It's really delicious when eaten right away. It's still tasty when cold. It's also delicious when reheated at home. I buy it at night and have it for breakfast the next day. For me, when it comes to buying croissants, it's always the mini ones! It's cheap and delicious, which is great.

Inside JR Kyoto Station, in front of the Kintetsu ticket gates, there is a Donq store. They also have a bakery section called Mini One. Even with Donq right there, I always end up lining up at Mini One (laughs). They sell by weight, but you can also purchase individual items, which is convenient. Even if you're alone, they will happily accommodate if you want one of each variety. I got 5 mini croissants (¥189/100g), totaling 112g for ¥211. I prefer to lightly reheat them so the chocolate inside doesn't melt too much, while my wife likes it when the chocolate is gooey. They are great for breakfast or a snack. I also tried the mini frankfurters (¥294/100g), getting 2 for 66g at ¥193. I bought them on a whim, but the cost-performance might not be the best. They have a light black pepper accent on top.

The "Mini One Kyoto Station Store" in ASTY SQUARE in front of Kintetsu Kyoto Station is always crowded. However, when I visited, there were only four people in line, so I couldn't help but join the queue. Normally, the line goes all the way to the escalator - that's how popular it is. The Mini Croissant costs 158 yen and the Mini Chocolate Croissant costs 189 yen (both 100g). Today, I chose the Mini Croissant, which came in a pack of five. The temptation to line up is irresistible due to the size of these pastries. After purchasing, they are placed in a paper bag which has some ventilation, allowing the delicious smell to waft out and stimulate your appetite.

I have been eating this croissant here for a while, but this time my family bought the "New Year Happy Box (630 yen) = 3 types x 5 pieces". It contained plain "mini croissants", chocolate-filled "mini chocolate croissants", and "strawberry milk". The "mini croissants" are quite sweet but delicious. The "mini chocolate croissants" have chunks of chocolate inside, making them a bit luxurious. Noteworthy is the "strawberry milk", a limited edition product with a pistachio-colored dough filled with milk cream and jam made from Tochiotome strawberries from Tochigi. The strawberry aroma and the creamy milk flavor complement each other very well and it was very delicious. By the way, this "New Year Happy Box" will be available for sale until January 27th.

On March 13, 2010, I visited Mini One Kyoto Station store located in "ASTY SQUARE" in front of Kintetsu Kyoto Station. This is a place I often visit as I commute through JR and Kintetsu lines, just like Manneken JR Kyoto Station store. The store was bustling with a line of customers, and the smell of freshly baked "Mini Croissants" with butter and maple syrup filled the air. The store offers four basic items: "Mini Croissant," "Mini Chocolate Croissant," and two seasonal limited edition items. In March, the limited edition items were "Strawberry Milk" and "Yomogi Mochi." I ordered five pieces of each item and tried them all. The Mini Croissant was my favorite, with a simple and sweet taste. The Mini Chocolate Croissant had a slightly bitter taste, perfect for those who prefer less sweetness. The Strawberry Milk had a creamy milk flavor with strawberry jam, while the Yomogi Mochi had a mochi-like texture with a subtle matcha flavor. Overall, Mini One offers great value for money with a variety of options, and I look forward to trying their limited edition items every month.

I went shopping at Isetan in Kyoto Station on my way back, I stopped by Donq in front of the Shinkansen gate and bought a croissant to take home. As a woman, I can eat about 3 bites, but for men, one bite is enough. The mini croissant is crispy, slightly sweet, and very delicious. It's best when freshly baked, but it's still delicious when warmed up in a toaster oven for breakfast the next day. It may seem a bit expensive for what you get, but I buy it occasionally when I want to have a luxurious breakfast.

Last weekend, I headed to Kintetsu Kyoto Station to see the Shosoin Treasure House exhibition in Nara. Right next to the Kintetsu ticket gate is Mini One Kyoto Station store. It's very convenient for when you're feeling a little peckish. Since Nara doesn't have many delicious eateries, this time I decided to buy some snacks here. I bought 100g each of the new black sesame kinako stick and the classic chocolate croissant, both priced at 180 yen (excluding tax). The chocolate croissant had a nice amount of chocolate chips and was as delicious as ever. The black sesame had a nice sesame flavor with the kinako being just sweet enough and delicious. I finished both before reaching the Shosoin Treasure House exhibition.

It is a very convenient place, so I always stop by on my way to work or while shopping when I feel a little hungry. The freshly baked items are clearly labeled, and there is a wide variety of choices which makes me very happy. I haven't seen it recently, but there used to be a small, slightly chewy bread with sweet potato seeds inside that was delicious. I wonder why they stopped selling it. Maybe they just weren't baking it at the time I visited...
