I visited after several years. I climbed the slope on Park Street slowly and entered the back street to find a hidden gem of a café. I ordered the "I'm a Tea, Large Size, ¥600". The tea was served in a large glass, and after stirring it well, I enjoyed the rich taste. The strong tea blended perfectly with the milk and sugar, creating a balanced flavor. The tea leaves were a blend from Ceylon (Sri Lanka), with a deep astringency and a strong intensity that outshined the sugar, milk, and even the next cake. The "Chocolate Cake, ¥400" was simple yet delicious, with plain sponge, whipped chocolate cream, and cocoa powder. Overall, the café's long-standing popularity is well-deserved for its delicious offerings. The straw was thin, making it difficult to drink quickly, allowing for a longer enjoyment. When lifting the glass, be careful as the wooden coaster may stick to the bottom and surprise you by falling off.

Shibuya "Kenyan Tea Shop" This is the milk tea or cafe popular in Shonan, and it's already full at 12:00 on weekdays with people waiting outside! It gets crowded right after opening, so I recommend going around 1:00 to have a more relaxed time. The homemade hamburger steak set (¥1300) comes with rice, soup, salad, and a drink, and the value for this price is amazing with a generous portion. The hamburger steak is meaty and satisfyingly delicious. The signature drink, I'mity, has a gentle sweetness followed by the bitterness of black tea, making it perfect for hot weather or after a meal. #TokyoGourmet #ShibuyaGourmet #FoodieGuys #FoodieClub #FoodPorn #Foodstagram #PopularSpot #Instagrammable #TokyoCafe #CafeHopping #CafeClub #CafeLovers #CafeGram #Lunch #KenyanTeaShop #I'mity #HamburgerSteak

Located a 7-8 minute walk from Shibuya Station, this tea shop is nestled along a narrow road up a steep hill towards Yoyogi Park. I visited on a weekday evening. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional cafe. It was around 4 pm and the place was almost full, showing its popularity. Luckily, I managed to get a seat without having to wait in line. By 5 pm, a few seats started to open up. This place is known for its milk tea, with the iced milk tea being a popular choice. I ordered the "Eye M Tea," which is made with an original blend of Ceylon tea leaves. They also had some cakes for sale, including an original apple pie and banana pie that caught my eye, but I decided to pass this time. The milk tea had a rich flavor with a slightly sweet taste, and it was delicious. They may be able to adjust the sweetness if requested. The sweets had a nostalgic feel to them and were reasonably priced. I would love to come back and try them again.

This shop, famous for its black tea, is a cute place located about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya. When you come to this shop, there is something you must try. It's the "I'mi-tea," a milk tea where sugar and milk are added after the black tea. Even when served iced, you can still enjoy the aroma of the tea leaves. Get it to go and enjoy it while walking outside. In the hot summer, a cold I'mi-tea is the best. It has a refreshing sweetness that complements the aroma of the black tea, giving a taste of happiness. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I planned to go to Blue Bottle Coffee, but they had already closed for the last order. So, I decided to have tea at this shop I found while passing by. It was relatively empty, probably because it was a weekday night. The shop had an old-fashioned atmosphere with cakes and sweets displayed in the showcase. The recommended item here is the I'm-Tea, which most people seemed to be ordering. I am currently on a loose carbohydrate restriction, avoiding liquid sugars as much as possible. It reminded me of how cold drinks at Showa era cafes used to be lightly sweetened. So, I ordered the Tea Jelly, while my companion ordered the I'm-Tea. The Tea Jelly is basically solidified liquid sugar, but it contains gelatin which might help with blood sugar spikes, I hope. It has a nice aroma of black tea and tastes great as it melts in the mouth. Trying a sip of my companion's I'm-Tea, it was just like the iced milk tea I used to enjoy with friends in my 10s and 20s. It's a nostalgic treat that might make you break your rules and indulge occasionally. (First visit, but already feeling nostalgic, haha)

* Homemade hamburger steak located about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station. This tea shop is popular for its Aymitie tea. Although not shown in the photos, Aymitie tea is truly delicious. The hamburger steak has a homely flavor that will make you feel happy. You can also order Aymitie for takeout and enjoy it while walking around Shibuya.

It's sweet, but a very delicious iced tea shop! I actually stumbled upon it by chance, but it turned out to be a really popular place! It's called "Aimitea" apparently, and it's mostly frequented by women. It felt a bit out of place, but it was definitely the right decision to go in! The iced tea is so tasty and easy to drink! You have to be careful not to gulp it all down in one go (laughs). It's worth waiting in line to get in!

Hello, I am a beginner in the world of milk tea. Recently, I have finally awakened to its kindness, just like the man Devilman who realized that "humans are warm." I am currently studying milk tea, but I am not sure where to go next. My interest was sparked by a visit to Monmastea in Sendagaya, where I fell in love with a cup of tea that had a strong aroma and a sweet taste. The owner of Monmastea used to work at a certain tea specialty shop, so I feel like I must visit that place. My goal is to pass the Milk Tea Level 3 exam.
I recently visited Kenyan in Shibuya and realized that I may have skipped a few levels in my milk tea journey. This place seems to be at the core of the milk tea world. Kenyan has been in business for 40 years and their specialty is the Eye-Mi-Tea. They started serving this strong tea with milk and sugar to Japanese people who only drank straight tea, and it became a popular milk tea that has been loved for 40 years.
I ordered the Tea Float (750 yen) instead of the Eye-Mi-Tea (500 yen), so I failed the Level 3 exam. The Tea Float is the Eye-Mi-Tea topped with red tea ice cream and whipped cream, with tea jelly inside. It's definitely a must-try. The blend of Ceylon tea leaves in the Eye-Mi-Tea Zone was full of great aroma and sweetness, a unique taste that can only be found here. The red tea ice cream, despite its beautiful appearance, was difficult to eat. If you push it too hard, it sinks and the Eye-Mi-Tea spills out from the rim of the glass. It seems like there might be a strategy for eating it, maybe like sucking it with a straw first.
Overall, Kenyan is a place where many people visit to enjoy the unique taste of their milk tea.

I lined up in the waiting line for the weekend tea time. They said they only serve doria for the meal menu starting at 3 o'clock, but since I originally planned to have the cake set, I wasn't particularly disappointed. While waiting in line, I was pondering over which cake from the showcase to choose, but after looking at the menu, I changed my mind and decided to go for the Tea Float, where I can enjoy Ai-Mi-Tea, Tea Jelly, and black tea ice cream all at once. (^_^;)

Actually, since being recommended by a friend on my second visit, I have become addicted to the specialty drink here called "Aimitea". The nearest station to the shop is Shibuya, but it is located in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle, with a stylish exterior and interior. The inside of the shop is relatively quiet, allowing for a peaceful rest for the mind.
- Aimitea: ¥500
This original iced milk tea has been served for almost 40 years since its establishment. It is blended with several types of tea from Sri Lanka, giving it a strong aroma. It has a relatively strong flavor that becomes addictive. It's so delicious that I can't drink milk tea from other shops anymore!!
- Banana Cake: ¥350
When ordered separately, it is ¥450, but when ordered as a drink set, it is ¥350! The sponge is fluffy and delicious. Thank you for the meal! ★

I finally arrived at the third cafe after passing through crowded ones - I was able to enter without waiting! This cafe specializes in milk tea, so I ordered a large milk tea. It already had sugar in it, and it was on the sweeter side, with a strong tea leaf aroma that wasn't overpowered by the milk. It was delicious! The raspberry cheesecake was just the right amount of sweet, and I finished it quickly. The banana cake I got for my companion was recommended for those who like whipped cream. I was able to relax and enjoy my time there. Thank you for the meal!

Kenyan is a sweet milk tea shop. As it gets hotter, I crave it. It's crowded today, but looks like I can get in. About a 10-minute wait for one group. Today I decided to try the tea soda. It's a tea with a refreshing lemon twist. Still quite sweet. It has a taste that reminds me of my student days or youth. It's somehow nostalgic. A Kyoto-like vibe. That kind of shop.

Famous café in Shinsen. I always thought there would be a line, but it was empty so I decided to drop in. I wasn't expecting much, but the homemade hamburger was really delicious. It was more like a steak sauce than a hamburger. And the signature menu item "I'm tea" was really good. It's not just a regular iced tea, it seems like there are some spices in it. It's a unique iced tea that you can't find elsewhere. ☕

I found it difficult to enjoy the red tea jelly I ordered because it had a lot of milk poured on it, due to my personal dislike for milk. The jelly had a subtle red tea flavor, which I think would be appreciated by many who enjoy milk tea. The red tea jelly itself had a strong red tea taste, making it feel like you were eating tea, and the firm texture was delicious.

I used to work in Shibuya ○ years ago and often used to have lunch there. I was surprised to see that the nearby Kitaya Park has completely transformed into a stylish place! I decided to choose the hamburger from the lunch menu, and for my drink, I was thinking of going with the classic Iced Tea, but I saw they had Chai Tea which they didn't have before, so I went with that. Next time, I definitely want to try one of their nostalgic cakes during tea time (^_^;)

A retro cafe with a recommendation for black tea located a bit deep in the back. Visited on a Saturday at 12:30, but it was exactly full when I arrived. The customer next to me left, but the service was slow, so the next customer had to wait outside for about 10 minutes. I wanted to try the ramen made with natural ingredients at Kyuudoudou, but it was temporarily closed for maintenance. I walked a little further down the street and found this cafe. Although it is a recommended tea shop, I decided to order the lunch set with Chicken Cheese in Red Wine Sauce. The set drink was called "I'mi-Tea," which I wasn't familiar with, but the staff explained that it was short for iced milk tea. I thought about ordering hot tea since it's a tea shop, but I saw "I'mi-Tea" written on the blackboard inside (I couldn't take a photo because it was crowded), so I decided to go with the iced tea. I also ordered a cake for 100 yen off, making it 350 yen. It took about 15 minutes for the salad to arrive, so the kitchen might be a bit slow. The main dish arrived in about 10 minutes after that, which was quicker than I expected. The portion size was a bit small, more like a cafe meal than a regular set meal. The taste was good, although I didn't really taste the cheese or wine, it was more like a soy sauce flavor. After finishing the meal, the "I'mi-Tea" and cake arrived. The cake was a rare cheesecake. The "I'mi-Tea" had gum syrup in it, which I don't like, so I regret not ordering hot tea instead. The customer next to me ordered 2 hot teas and 4 cakes to share, which seemed like a better choice at a tea shop. It's a bit far from the station, but it's reasonable for a cake and drink set under 1,000 yen in Shibuya. The cafe was constantly full with customers coming in and out until I left. The cake was not fancy but a classic and delicious cafe cake. The total bill was 1,550 yen for the tax-included lunch set at 1,200 yen and the cake set at 350 yen. I was able to pay with my Suica card.

I sometimes go to this restaurant for lunch, but it always seems to be crowded. This time, I ordered the hamburger which was very juicy and had a lot of bounce to it. However, the bounce was so strong that it might be a matter of personal preference. My friend ordered curry, but the portion was so small that we thought they made a mistake. The iced tea is always delicious and I always want more.

I've never had such delicious milk tea before. It was rich, sweet, and incredibly tasty! The banana cake we ordered together was also delicious. The inside of the shop was bustling with customers, some chatting away and others enjoying a quiet moment alone. Surprisingly, the turnover rate seemed good. Although there was a bit of a line, I think it was worth the wait. If you're in the Shibuya Parco area, be sure to stop by!

Visited around 12:40 on a sunny weekday. Managed to snag one of the last 2-3 available seats. Ordered a Chai Milk Tea for 500 yen. It was a simple, sweet hot milk tea. The milk was already sweetened to perfection, and I could sense a hint of the tea leaves' bitterness, indicating it was brewed properly with milk. The staff, consisting of two men, seemed busy but efficient, providing service without any unnecessary frills. Despite the lack of small talk, they were not unfriendly and kept things moving smoothly. It was a great cafe to relax and unwind after battling the crowds and shopping in Shibuya.

The refreshing taste of the Iced Milk Tea is irresistible, with its sweet and milky flavor making you want to drink it all up. It was so delicious that I bought some tea leaves as a souvenir. I paired it with a banana cake, and the fluffy sponge was also very tasty.

Visited around 8:30 PM on Saturday. It's really nice that they are open late. The atmosphere inside is very quiet and calming. I tried their specialty, the Ai Milk Tea. It's a rich milk tea with a hint of sweetness, similar to the Montmastea from Dove's Forest. The cakes were also delicious! A valuable tea room away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya. Will definitely visit again!
