I used to frequent Cocoichi when I was younger, but lately I haven't been going at all. When I went back after a long time, I noticed that they had added more topping options. My partner tried the new topping menu, which was shrimp fry and half aubergine. I stuck with my usual chicken katsu, but I always pour table sauce over the basic Cocoichi pork curry sauce. I feel like this gives it a slightly sharper taste. In my opinion, Cocoichi curry is best with sauce poured over it. (Just my preference...) *There is a parking lot with space for about 10 cars next to the restaurant.

I wonder if CoCo Ichibanya is the standard for curry. It's been about 20-25 years since I first tried it, but I feel like the taste has suddenly become much better in the past 5 years. Originally, CoCo Ichibanya offered delivery services, but it seems like things have changed since they started accepting credit card payments. There have been changes in management, waste disposal incidents, and improvements in service, all around the same time. Do you think they are related? My favorite is topping the beef curry with sausages, cheese, and cutlets. To choose sweetness or spiciness, you have to pay extra, so I add spices at home instead. It would be nice if services like this were free.

"It was kind of like medicinal cuisine and delicious☆" I received a message from my long-lost eldest son so I investigated! Well, this must be him... Curry, you know, should be more like this... But hey, isn't it delicious! Sorry about that lol. [Adult Spice Curry] with a spice level of 3, priced at 1,015 yen. I see, the curry is subtly spicy with a hint of additional spice, giving it a feminine taste. The garlic flavor that comes through makes it feel medicinal, which makes sense. This is good! Feels like I saw the "real deal" at the curry chain store. The standard "roast chicken" was also nicely matched with the curry. It might be fun to add toppings to customize it to your liking. It seems to be a limited menu until the end of May, so hurry! I wish they would make it a regular menu item. Mr. President, are you watching? Well, probably not lol.

Last fall, I got really hooked on this "shimeji curry". It was probably a limited-time menu for about 2 months, but I think I had it about 5 times! It was a curry topped with plenty of "some kind of shimeji" harvested from a farm in Yamashina. The bacon and spinach matched so well with it!!! The shimeji was a bit larger and juicy! I was a little embarrassed because I felt like the staff might remember me. I wonder if it will be back this fall? I really hope it will come back! I really want it to come back!

The parking lot is decently sized, and there are tables in addition to the counter, so I think anyone can use it. You can choose the level of spiciness, rice quantity, and toppings for the curry, so you can have your favorite curry! My recommendation is the chicken cutlet curry with cheese topping. The chicken cutlet is reasonably priced, and the cheese is melty and delicious. Cheese lovers will definitely enjoy it. They also offer takeout and delivery services, so you can enjoy the curry in the way that suits you best at that time.

Today after work, I went to "CoCo Ichibanya Yamaashina Ono Store" in Kyoto for lunch. The restaurant has a parking lot, which is convenient. The interior is clean and well-maintained. The service was average. I decided to order the Chicken Stew Curry with toppings of natto and boiled egg. The boiled egg with salt sprinkled on top is delicious when eaten with the curry. I chose the large portion (400g) of rice and medium spiciness. The curry arrived and it was delicious as expected. The curry at CoCo Ichibanya is always good. Although it's a smooth curry without many ingredients, the combination of chicken breast, natto, and curry is perfect. I am satisfied and full. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

On the way back to Kyoto in the evening, my child requested curry, so we decided to try a curry-focused restaurant instead of a regular family restaurant. I remembered there used to be a challenge where if you finished a super-sized curry within 20 minutes, it would be free. I wonder if they still have it now? My child had a mild cheese curry, while I tried the beef tendon curry at spice level 1. I realized later that Cocoichi serves pork as standard and you have to specifically request beef. I don't like pork, so it was a mistake on my part. Despite that, the restaurant offers a variety of curries with different toppings, spiciness levels, and generous portions, which was enjoyable.

There's really no need to review it now, but for those who love curry, COCO Ichibanya's curry is the best. You can customize the toppings, rice portion, and spiciness to your liking. If you order a salad and a drink after your curry, the drink will only cost 100 yen. It's a great deal. The restaurant is located on the left side just before passing under the guard of the Meishin Expressway on the way from Daigo to Yamashina Higashino on the Outer Ring Road. The parking lot is gravel, but can accommodate around 10 cars.

The restaurant is located along the outer ring road, but the lighting is dim and not very noticeable. There is a gravel parking lot next to the store. I mostly use delivery service, but there is a delivery fee of 200 yen for orders under 2500 yen each time, which ends up making it expensive. The taste is good, and I like the level of spiciness. You can also choose the level of spiciness and rice quantity. Recently, my brother ate 800g of rice. The staff who answer the phone are friendly, and the service is quite fast. If it weren't for the 200 yen delivery fee, it would be even better.

COCO Ichibanya Yama-shina Kono branch, located along the Kyoto Yamashina Outer Ring Road. The exterior of the restaurant is dark, making it difficult to tell if it is open or closed. The parking lot is gravel and poorly lit, so be careful on rainy days. As for the curry itself, you can customize the portion size and spiciness to your liking when ordering. The taste of the curry is just average, not extremely delicious but also not bad. It's a safe and ordinary curry that you can find anywhere.

I usually eat at the store, but this time I ordered delivery for the first time. It was delivered on time as specified. Delivery costs apply for orders below 3000 yen. If they could lower it to 2000-2500 yen, I would use it more often...

When I feel like eating curry, I go to Cocoichi for their curry. The Cocoichi here has a spacious parking lot, so even if you're not good at parking, it's okay. Inside the store, there are counter seats and table seats, so it's fine to come alone or with family and friends. You can choose the spiciness of the curry, as well as the portion size and toppings. I saw on TV that there are a huge number of combinations you can choose from (lol). Personally, I love getting crispy chicken with cheese on top, spiciness level 1. There used to be a menu item with hormone meat, but since it's gone, I've been sticking to this combination.
