It's a bit late, but I'm uploading my first review of Kentucky Fried Chicken. I've been a big fan of their Original Chicken for years. I eat it consistently throughout the year, probably for over 40 years now. One of my traditions is to binge on it once a year during Christmas, devouring 4 pieces in one go. In my younger days, I could handle 6 or 8 pieces without a problem, but now I'm starting to make wiser choices as an adult. I prefer the ribs of the Original Chicken the most, followed by thigh, wing, keel, and drumstick in that order. You can specify the parts if it's not too busy (may vary by store). When I was a kid, there was probably only Original Chicken available. I vaguely remember a new Crispy Chicken coming out when I was in high school, but I always craved the taste of the Original Chicken. Nuggets were probably not even a thing in Japan when I was in elementary school. I do remember coleslaw salad being available since the early days. No matter how many years pass, I always end up buying the Original Chicken and that salad. I've always preferred iced coffee with a hint of aroma over bitterness. The potatoes have that classic "potato" feel that I like. I usually dislike companies that sell based on image in TV commercials, but I can't help but have a soft spot for Kentucky. I truly believe in the quality of their ingredients. The taste of the Original Chicken may seem questionable now, but it has become the norm. It's like a chain restaurant item I've been eating for over 40 years. Just like Yoshinoya's beef bowl, Osho's gyoza, Tenkaippin's rich ramen, or Mister Donut's French crullers... Kentucky's Original Chicken is in that category. However, that's all I can write about it. *I debated giving it a 4.0 for personal liking, but settled for a 3.5 rating. On the 28th of every month is "Chicken Day," and to celebrate, there is a special offer of a pack with 4 original chicken pieces and 3 crispy chicken pieces for 990 yen instead of 1340 yen. This offer is limited to Chicken Day only. I love KFC but I didn't know about this promotion. Last year, I missed out on having KFC for Christmas, but just in time for the end of the year, I was able to enjoy 7 pieces of chicken on "Chicken Day." I need to make a note to visit this month too. My overall rating for my visit in December 2014: Overall: 3.4, Food & Taste: 3.5, Service: 3.3, Atmosphere: 3.3, Value for Money: 3.7, Alcohol & Drinks: 0.0

I really like it◎ My whole family loves it◎ When I was a child, my father used to bring home souvenirs from work occasionally, making it a "luxury treat" until now. This local Sagano store has been around for a long time. It has always been there since I was in elementary school, so it feels like a long-established place!! When the season for Red Hot Chicken comes, I always have an irresistible craving for it, including the original and the Red Hot Crispy set, which is quite enjoyable and wonderful☆ In the past, I think you could choose your favorite parts to some extent, but now there are signs saying it's not possible. However, since my family members have completely different preferences, it ends up being a well-balanced mix, which is much appreciated!!

KFC chicken is delicious and well-known, so we often get takeout for our family. This shop has a special deal for women - you can get a drink for only 100 yen! It may be limited to certain times, but isn't it exciting to get a drink for just 100 yen? It's a great place for housewives to chat with friends in the afternoon. The atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy. I feel a bit guilty for using this deal frequently, but I really enjoy it.

I bought some chicken to take home for Christmas from a small shop along Maruta-cho Street. The shop seems to mainly cater to takeout customers. In addition to the chicken, I really like the coleslaw at KFC. The slightly spicy mayonnaise-like dressing is exquisite. Also, although it may be a simple item, I can't stop eating the biscuits with maple syrup. They are really addictive... The thick-cut fries are delicious too.

I ended up buying too much and when I arranged the normal chicken 2 pieces, boneless 1 piece, crispy 1 piece, and 1.5 nuggets on a plate, it looked like a huge serving. As expected, I got overwhelmed by the grease after eating about half of it. I'll have the leftovers for breakfast tomorrow! Having a garage is nice, isn't it?
