I visited this Torikizoku because it opens at 4:00 pm. When I arrived at 4:30 pm, it was crowded with many customers! Everyone seems to want to start drinking early (laughs). - Various kinds of yakitori - Cabbage salad - Grilled yam on hot plate - Highball I went thinking I could use the national travel support coupon, but unfortunately I couldn't use it.

This was my first time at Torikizoku! I was excited to visit just before the opening at 5 pm, but there was already a line forming! It's definitely a popular spot! The chicken thigh meat was large and juicy with a lot of flavor. The sauce was also good. The negima, tsukune, chicken skin, and bonjiri were all excellent! Thank you for the meal.

On Saturday night, I wandered around looking to casually enter a restaurant, but everywhere was fully booked with reservations. I found out that most of the nice restaurants in Kyoto are small and it's risky to try walking in without a reservation. This restaurant has introduced a reservation system using a QR code on tablets, so when your turn comes, the app will notify you. I was 7th in line, so I checked out other places as well, but they were all on a waiting list. In the end, I returned to the first restaurant I reserved and got in. I ended up at the reliable Torikizoku. They had a spring limited edition Sakura Mentaiko Mayo Udon. The sakura flavor was quite strong. The fried dip and other fried items with butter were okay, but the skewers were consistently delicious. The cost performance was also great.

It goes without saying that it is a chain store, so the quality of the food is satisfying everywhere. It is reasonable and easy to use for solo dining, so I am very satisfied. However, the chattering of the female staff was quite bothersome as I was sitting at the counter, which made me feel uncomfortable. They are working, so shouldn't they endure a little? It's a waste. The cost performance, taste, and ease of use are excellent, so they should try to be more considerate.

Visited on a day off at night. It's a yakitori restaurant in Kyoto ^ ^ My first time at Torikizoku♪ Ordered a variety of yakitori, bone-in chicken thigh with spices, and sea bream dashi cold noodles! The yakitori was big and filling (^ ^) I wanted to try the kettle rice, but unfortunately it was sold out (・・;) Thank you for the meal♪

There are no non-alcoholic or soft drinks that are gentle on the stomach, good for allergies, or free of strong stimulants. Only drinks with caffeine (like cola), tannins, ginger, or strong acidity are available. Even warm tea is limited to green tea. Most places only offer drinks like Calpis or Ramune. It would be nice to have a unique non-alcoholic option. Unfortunately, even when I ordered honey lemon, it was very sour, even after adding all the syrup. The food portions are generous, but the prices are reasonable. The dishes I tried were white leek with salted kelp (good, not too spicy), chicken tail with garlic, green onion with sauce, Zangi (a regional specialty), and chicken wing with salt. The chicken wing skin was not crispy at all, so I couldn't eat it. The chicken ramen was okay. The restaurant is cheap, open late, and close by, so I might go back for those reasons. Just some notes on the menu. The floor was slippery with oil in some spots, so be careful. The chairs are hard wooden seats, so bring a cushion. It was 90% full at 10:30 pm on a Saturday. The plastic sheet at the cash register for COVID-19 protection is half-transparent, making it hard to see the staff's smiles when they thank you. I found that amusing.

The vinyl partition was quite dirty. All the dishes arrived at the same time and it seemed like they couldn't fit on the table. The taste was good.

Visited with a friend on a Friday night. Arrived a bit late around 6 pm, had to wait for about 30 minutes before finally getting a table. The restaurant has a long and narrow layout, with a crowded and lively atmosphere. Orders are placed using a touch panel, which seems to be the best option given the busy environment. Each dish costs around 300 yen. The drink options were limited, so I settled for oolong tea. The menu mainly consists of yakitori and other izakaya-style dishes. The cabbage was particularly good!

It was my first time visiting this place. I think everything was priced at 298 yen. I came in wanting to eat yakitori and ended up devouring a lot of it. Among them, the dish with green onions and salted kelp was incredibly delicious. I also had a big jug of Kinmugi beer. It was great. I'll definitely go back again.

The pomegranate vinegar sour I had with my seminar group was delicious.

Watching TV with my mother, we heard that yakitori is great for summer fatigue, so we decided to try out a restaurant that was featured on the show. The restaurant was located on the 6th floor of a building, and when we arrived 10 minutes before opening, there was already a line of one group ahead of us. More people started to arrive, making the area in front of the restaurant crowded and hot. When the restaurant opened right on time, we were seated by the window. The menu was easy to order from as it was all priced at 298 yen each. We ordered a variety of items focusing on healthy options as seen on TV. The food we ordered included cabbage, hormone with green onions and ponzu sauce, noble yakitori with sauce and salt, triangle skewers, bone-in chicken thigh, chicken skin with salt, heart, gizzard, tsukune with sauce, and chicken rice in a pot. The hormone with green onions and ponzu sauce had a good texture and flavor, while the noble yakitori was large but dry. The triangle skewers were cooked perfectly and delicious. The bone-in chicken thigh had a rich flavor. The heart, gizzard, tsukune, and chicken skin were average. The chicken rice in a pot was a generous portion with a crispy bottom, but the taste was nothing special. Overall, the restaurant is popular among couples and families, with affordable beer prices being a big draw. The place was crowded when we left, possibly due to the TV exposure or its regular popularity.

I went to Torikizoku near Kyoto Station. I started with a draft beer and ended with ice cream. Everything is 280 yen, so it's easy to understand. The momo kizoku yaki was delicious. The sauce and spices were great. The chicken nanban was also good. Eating tender chicken with tartar sauce is a luxury. The dessert ice cream was black honey matcha kinako flavor, and the black honey was very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I looked at the map and thought I had arrived nearby, but couldn't find the usual yellow and red signboard. Instead, there was a white signboard with brown letters... I couldn't understand it. Kyoto is strict about its landscape. I arrived at around 6 pm. Although there were plenty of empty seats, there weren't enough staff to show us to our seats quickly. The menu changed in the spring, and there was a new item called "Grilled Chicken Shizuoka Oden Style" with a sauce flavored with dashi and sprinkled with fish powder. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. We also had the usual edamame, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, drooling chicken, grilled chicken, and finished with kamameshi. We had a table by the window on the 6th floor, so we could see the night view. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, every Monday is Toriki day for me and my local friends in Nara, so we go to the Yamato Yagi store. I have been to this store more than 50 times a year for the past 5 years, along with some in Namba. The menu and atmosphere are the same, so I won't include any photos. Sorry. In mid-April 2016, a Toriki finally opened near my workplace. We used it for a welcome party with a total of 7 people. The atmosphere, food, and drink menu are the same as other stores. The taste is not particularly different. It's still delicious for the price. It's amazing that each dish is only 290 yen. There are many two-person tables facing each other. We made a reservation, so it was strictly a 2-hour limit, just like the other stores. If you don't make a reservation, it's unlimited. Since there were 7 of us, we were seated at two 4-person tables that couldn't be pushed together. We ordered one dish per person, but they brought two servings on one plate, making it difficult to share among 4 people and 3 people. I mentioned it to the staff, and they said they would inform the kitchen, but the dishes kept coming out on the same plate. Oh well, other than that, it was the same as other Toriki stores. Next time, I'll go alone...

I heard that Torikizoku opened a store near Kyoto Station, so I went there right away. Despite it being a weekday, the place was packed with customers waiting, so I had to give up on my first attempt. Three days later, I tried again on a Sunday around 8 o'clock, and although it was full, there was no one waiting, so I was seated in about 15 minutes. I ordered a draft beer and some dishes, but only the dishes arrived, and the beer was delayed. I couldn't even make a toast, so I had to tell the staff three times before it finally arrived. Some dishes were brought to the wrong table, probably because they went to another table by mistake. The temporary staff also seemed inexperienced. The taste of the food was the usual Torikizoku flavor, but when I ordered the tulip dish, the inside was red and seemed undercooked, so I asked for a replacement and they kindly brought a well-cooked one. The manager apologized politely, so I didn't feel upset. The well-cooked tulip dish was very delicious. Since the store had just opened, it seemed chaotic. Despite some issues, the cost performance is good.
