I went to the restaurant at 3 p.m. on Sunday and the place was almost full, but I managed to get a seat. I ordered French toast and an iced cafe latte. The atmosphere inside was calm, with nice music playing. The French toast was really delicious, with the egg mixture soaking into the bread perfectly. I'm here with my close drinking buddies, sitting side by side on the tatami mats. The couple in front of us ordered coffee, but of course, we went for wine. We got the French toast set with a slightly sweet German wine. The balance with the accompanying prosciutto is perfect. We had a leisurely and elegant time in the middle of the day. I ended up here after finding out that the shop I originally planned to visit was closed. Although it's a bit far from the tourist areas in Kyoto, I was able to discover a nice café.
