■A cafe where you can relax in a traditional Kyoto townhouse setting, with tatami seating that is welcoming for solo diners. I visited to try their unique Basque cheesecake, which is said to be delicious! You can enjoy a variety of flavored coffees, wines, beers, and sweets such as Basque cheesecake and pudding.■Order (tax included)✔Sweet Potato Basque Cheesecake 730 yenMade with seasonal sweet potato paste, cheesecake, and a shortbread base with black pepper. The slight bitterness on the surface is subtle, and the cheesecake made with various types of cheese has a slightly baked flavor with just the right amount of cheese essence. Below that is a sweet potato paste with a rich, creamy taste. The moist shortbread with a hint of black pepper enhances the flavors of the cheese and sweet potato, making it a fresh and innovative combination.✔Javier Cabrera 640 yenA coffee with a fragrance similar to mandarin oranges, apricots, and honey. It has no acidity and a refreshing taste, making it easy to enjoy.■Store Information・Access: Approximately 13 minutes on foot from Hankyu Kyoto Line "Saiin Station"・Business Hours: Wednesday to Friday 15:00-22:00, Saturday and Sunday 9:00-15:00, 17:00-22:00・Closed: Mondays, Tuesdays, irregular holidays・Seating: Tatami seating, counter seating・Parking: None (coin parking available nearby)・Wi-Fi: Not available・Power Outlets: Not available

Hankyu Nishinomiya Station, a 10-minute walk from Minoh-dera Temple, a Kyoto-style cafe ☕︎ Order and pay first, then choose your favorite seat. This time, I chose the tatami seating in the back. I ordered: ❤︎ Firm Custard Pudding ¥600 ❤︎ Pink Grapefruit Custard Tart ¥780 ❤︎ Cafe Latte (ICE) ¥780 All prices include tax (eat-in price). The firm custard pudding had a satisfying texture and was delicious. The Pink Grapefruit Custard Tart, made with coffee in the tart crust, was refreshing and perfect for the lingering summer heat. The latte was rich and delicious. The contrast between the nostalgic atmosphere and modern snacks was great. The only downside was that the restroom was outside, and since you have to take off your shoes in the tatami seating, slip-on shoes are recommended. It was delicious. Thank you. I would love to visit again. Payment is made in advance. Payment methods: Cash / PayPay.

I went to the restaurant at 3 p.m. on Sunday and the place was almost full, but I managed to get a seat. I ordered French toast and an iced cafe latte. The atmosphere inside was calm, with nice music playing. The French toast was really delicious, with the egg mixture soaking into the bread perfectly. The combination of cheese and prosciutto on the side was also excellent, and the whole dish was incredibly tasty. I definitely want to eat it again.

I went here because a friend wanted to, but I probably won't come back. We ordered the ham and melon dish and two glasses of wine for two people, which came out to around 5000 yen. It might have been a little less, maybe around 4000 yen. Even if the wine was 1000 yen per glass, and the ham and melon dish was about 2000 yen, it didn't feel worth it. We didn't even get a menu, so maybe they were going for a high-end vibe, but it was a bit disappointing. It might be good as a cafe though.

Hello. This is Keinsuke. Today, I will introduce "ARCHI" in Nishii. A cafe located between Hankyu Nishii Station and Omiya Station. It is a Kyoto-style old private house that appears in the middle of a residential area. The door is open, creating a welcoming atmosphere for first-time visitors. A polite female staff welcomed me. The interior is a rare tatami room where you can relax. I felt that the quiet old private house with the aroma of coffee was a perfect and chill space. It is a great place to relax alone or visit for a date. Although the interior had a lot of young people, there were also elderly couples and men visiting alone. <FOOD> - Firm Baked Pudding (600 yen): The reason I came to this cafe was for this pudding. The pudding on a white plate has a very dark caramel. The contrast of white and black is extremely beautiful. It is a simple pudding without cream, ice cream, or cherry, but it fits perfectly in this old private house setting with a Kyoto-like appearance. The texture is quite firm as it is called firm baked, and the sweetness is moderate with a bitter touch. It is a pudding with an adult taste. <Summary> Nishii and Omiya are relatively close to Kawaramachi and Karasuma, but there are fewer tourists, making it a good city to relax in a cafe. I want to visit again because there are other places I want to go. Thank you for the meal! <Point> Customer base: - 1 male, 2 males, 1 female, 2 females - Students, no children, elderly people, couples Age group: - 10-20s, 30-50s, 60s and above Remarks: - No private room, no scenic view, no power outlet, no WiFi - No waiting in line, reservation recommended - Not close to the station, not Instagrammable - Quiet, long stay allowed, enjoyable, hidden gem *Please note that the information is based on the visit at that time.

I enjoyed a delicious cafe tart at the nostalgic yet newly renovated cafe Kyoto Machiya, which combines coffee and wine in a traditional Japanese house setting. The atmosphere was charming, and I was able to relax in the cozy back room by myself. However, the prices were high, and since I don't drink wine, I don't see much value in returning. Thank you for the meal.

Fluffy French toast with prosciutto and cheese cream, topped with maple syrup. Surprisingly light and easy to eat. The combination of French toast with prosciutto and cheese cream was excellent! The main focus seems to be lightly roasted coffee, and I chose the coffee recommended by the staff that day. In addition to sweets, there is also a rich variety of a la carte menu items such as wine and dumplings. The restaurant has a charming traditional townhouse-style atmosphere that is calm and lovely. I would love to visit again.

A cafe located inside a private house. It's about a 15-minute walk from the station. Today's main event is a paper fair. But since I'm in Kyoto, I decided to check out this rumored shop. I'm here with my close drinking buddies, sitting side by side on the tatami mats. The couple in front of us ordered coffee, but of course, we went for wine. We got the French toast set with a slightly sweet German wine. The balance with the accompanying prosciutto is perfect. We had a leisurely and elegant time in the middle of the day. Additionally, starting with dumplings and beer for lunch is also a great idea.

It was a rainy spring day, and perhaps that's why the brightness inside the shop and the taste of the coffee were both gentle and soothing, creating a calming atmosphere. The Ethiopian coffee seemed to be lightly roasted, but it was refreshing and to my liking. I had a chocolate cake, and the other sweets also looked delicious. The space in the back seemed perfect for small gatherings, and I thought it would be nice to come back for dinner and wine next time.

The shop, which was renovated from a Kyoto machiya house built in 1944, has a simple and clean interior. The space allows for standing on the earthen floor or sitting on the tatami mats in a triangular position, giving a feeling of freedom in how you spend your time. The dimly lit interior is filled with warmth and comfort. The café latte, financiers, and coffee & cinnamon cookies are all from and_labolatory in Kameoka, totaling 1300 yen. The French toast is popular, but unfortunately, it was sold out when I visited. This shop is versatile, offering coffee, sweets, wine, and more. It's a great place to make a quick stop. I ended up here after finding out that the shop I originally planned to visit was closed. Although it's a bit far from the tourist areas in Kyoto, I was able to discover a nice café.

A hidden gem! The cakes are all moist and delicious with a balanced level of sweetness, yet satisfying. They pair well with the gentle taste of lightly roasted coffee.
