Today, I visited a chiffon cake shop near Momozono Station in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City. Salut, a shop that specializes in chiffon cakes with no additives, operates only on Tuesdays and Fridays. They offer a variety of flavors such as plain, white & chocolate chip, strawberry, honey, blueberry, and matcha, with prices ranging from 200 to 270 yen per piece. You can also purchase whole chiffon cakes, but they close once sold out. For those who want to secure their cakes, reservations and delivery services are available. I bought three cakes and here is my review: - Plain Chiffon Cake: The signature item of the shop, this chiffon cake has a soft and fluffy texture with a hint of sweetness. It's perfect on its own or with jam. - Blueberry Chiffon Cake: Made with homemade blueberry jam, this cake has a refreshing taste with the fruitiness of blueberries. - Strawberry Chiffon Cake: Another cake with homemade jam mixed into the batter, this chiffon cake is light and airy with a delightful strawberry flavor. Overall, I enjoyed the fluffy texture of the chiffon cakes and the variety of flavors offered at Salut.
