NAKANOTEI COFFEE Tennozan opened in Shimoueno-dairi Bun, Otokuni-gun, Oyamazaki-cho, Kyoto Prefecture on November 11, 2022. The entrance features a sliding door with a logo of hands holding coffee beans. Operated by the disability support organization Living Lamp, this is the third branch following Obanzai and Sake Nakanotei and NAKANOTEI COFFEE Nishiyama. In addition to the café space, NAKANOTEI COFFEE Tennozan also houses a supported employment workshop space called KOKYU+ where artwork, accessories, coasters, handwoven fabrics, and other goods created by people with disabilities are displayed and sold. Customers must pre-pay at the counter near the entrance. The menu includes coffee, hot dogs, sweets, and coffee beans for sale. Bringing your own tumbler or mug earns you a 20 yen discount on coffee. The coffee beans are sourced from various countries such as East Timor, Myanmar, Yunnan, Laos, Thailand, and Indonesia by Kaino Mukou Coffee. While only pudding was available shortly after opening, the refrigerated showcase now offers hot dogs, cakes, pudding, and more. The sausages are from Ham Kobo Koto, and the buns are from Camellia. After payment, customers can help themselves to water and other essentials before finding a seat and waiting for their order. Takeout is also an option. The drip coffee, hand-dripped from their own roasted beans, boasts a pleasant aroma and a balanced bitterness. For takeout coffee, customers can request a free ice pack. The almond and coffee pudding features coffee jelly beneath the almond-flavored pudding, offering a subtly sweet treat with the almond aroma complementing the coffee's bitterness. The crispy shortbread, rich with buttery flavor and a hint of wheat, is a delightful accompaniment to the coffee and sweets. Enjoy delicious coffee, hot dogs, and sweets at NAKANOTEI COFFEE Tennozan.
