German Pancake ¥2700 with drink included This time at Riz Labo, I tried the German Pancake, which is a famous cake in Okinawa that looks like a cake but is actually a pancake. It was my first time trying it, and it was sandwiched with coconut buttercream and terrine in chiffon. The German Cake is apparently made this way. This time, they offered an arrangement of the German Cake as a limited-time German Pancake. The pancake batter was made with rice flour, resulting in a moist gluten-free pancake with two layers. I had fun swaying it a bit, but be careful not to sway too much as it might fall apart. Riz Labo always pays attention to the details, starting from the top: - A lightly sweetened whipped cream - Cream-colored coconut buttercream - Beneath that, a unique terrine with a good texture. It was my first time trying terrine, and the orange flavor was delightful. The coconut buttercream and terrine were Riz Labo's original creations, and they made the experience even more delicious. The pancake was topped with a rich chocolate sauce, and between the layers, there was a berry sauce adding sweetness and acidity. The plate was decorated with plenty of nuts, adding a nice crunch. There was also a slightly bitter coffee jelly, which was refreshing and reminded me of summer. If you were lucky enough to try this limited-time offering, you would have enjoyed Riz Labo's commitment to quality ingredients. It was very delicious, and I hope they offer it again around Valentine's Day. Thank you for the meal.

■ Date and Time: Visited on Sunday around 2:00 PM during a 3-day weekend. ■ Food: - Matcha Pancakes (2400 yen): The pancakes made with rice flour were quite bland. They were chewy, but at the level of a chiffon cake. I don't think they are worth waiting in line for.

I often see "delicious-looking pancakes" on social media or Instagram, but sometimes when I try them, I feel like they are "just delicious, but not worth going out of my way for." Here, I tried the matcha and strawberry pancakes and immediately thought, "I'm glad I came," as it was truly delicious, meeting my expectations but still quite rare to find. The size is on the smaller side, about 2/3 the diameter of a paperback book. The cream was slightly bitter yet moistly sweet, while the pancake itself was subtly sweet, with a delicate sweetness that was enjoyable upon closer tasting. Both the cream and the pancake itself were delicious, whether eaten together or separately. The texture of the pancake was soft and fluffy, feeling "thick" when cut with a knife and not easily broken when pressed from the top. It was fluffy, not airy. The ice cream served alongside may have been the sweetest, but it also had a strong matcha flavor and was delicious on its own. The location is not in my usual area, so it may be a bit inconvenient, but I would like to go back again. If you enjoy fluffy pancakes, you won't be disappointed if you are taken there.

On a regular Friday around 2:00 PM, two women entered the cafe. The setting was like a food court where you could sit at the counter in front of each shop and order only from that shop, or sit at other tables and order from any shop. We were lucky to find an open tatami seat. The rice flour pancakes were fluffy and delicious! They didn't taste much different from regular pancakes made with wheat flour. The drink set cost around 2300 yen, not cheap but considering the location and the prices at other places for pancakes, it was understandable. I would like to try food from other cafes next time!

Around 12:15 on a regular day, I visited the restaurant alone. I was the first customer. At the entrance, I was asked which store I would like to use. I mentioned I wanted pancakes and was directed to the counter at the back. Since there was no one else, I could also choose to sit at the central counter. As I was dining alone, I chose the counter at the back. I ordered strawberry pancakes and an iced coffee. The total cost was 2400 yen including the drink. The iced coffee was served promptly, followed by the strawberry pancakes from across the counter after about 15 minutes. My first impression was that they were smaller than I had expected, but the pancakes were fluffy, and the strawberry sauce and cream were generous, making me feel happy. The pancakes were made with domestically produced low-pesticide rice flour, unrefined sugar, and soy milk, making them guilt-free. The overall sweetness was moderate. The sweet and sour strawberry sauce occasionally had the sweetness of ruby chocolate chips. Crushed cookies and custard (I think) were sandwiched between the pancakes, adding to the enjoyable texture. I was able to eat it all up cleanly and quickly until the end. It might be worth adding an extra pancake. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The craving for black sesame was overwhelming, so I made a reservation for the matcha scarecrow pancake and visited as soon as the store opened. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of matcha, so I didn't use the matcha sauce that came with it, but the combination with the black sesame cream was amazing, and the toppings like chocolate and cookies made it even more delicious. The service from the owner-like lady was still a bit intimidating, but the pancakes were so good that I couldn't help but come back. I will definitely visit again.

I was disappointed that the seasonal pancakes I was looking for were sold out, but I ended up trying the strawberry pancakes instead. I have visited a few famous pancake shops, but in my opinion, the pancakes here are the best I've ever had. The fluffy texture of the pancake, the slightly tart strawberry sauce, and the sweet cream all come together perfectly. The interior of the shop is like a food court with various stores mixed together. I was seated in a tatami-like area which made me feel very relaxed. Other seats are mostly high counters, so I may have been lucky with my seating.

Omotesando [Liz Labo Kitchen] ☆ American Cherry and Pistachio Pancakes with Drink included Reservation for 2800 yen (tax included) *Currently not available due to limited menu ✼••┈┈┈┈••✼••┈┈┈┈••✼ ◆Taste It was my first visit to Liz Labo Kitchen in a while. I really love pistachios, so I was very excited about the combination with American cherries. The conclusion is, it was my favorite taste among the pancakes I have had recently. I'm not lying, it was seriously delicious. I also really like cheese, but I love pistachios as well! The rice flour pancakes were very fluffy, and the gentle sweetness of the pistachio cream, along with the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness from the American cherries, really stimulated my appetite. Inside the pancakes, there was American cherry confiture, and the chocolate sauce drizzled on top was a slightly bitter, less sweet chocolate. The toppings around it included half-cut American cherries, American cherry jelly, strawberries, pomegranate, grapes, and what they called crumble. Additionally, 100% pear sorbet was served as a palate cleanser, which should be the best way to eat it, but it was so delicious that I couldn't help but finish it all at once. I would love to have another plate of this, it was that delicious. Thank you for this amazing dish! ✼••┈┈┈┈••✼••┈┈┈┈••✼ ◆Atmosphere At Liz Labo Kitchen, there are 4 counter seats and table seats that resemble low tables, but you should also be able to eat at other tables in the restaurant or outside, so it's not very spacious but there are a decent number of seats. The atmosphere inside is calm, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. ✼••┈┈┈┈••✼••┈┈┈┈••✼ Thank you for reading until the end. Please feel free to comment, like, follow, or save. I had completely forgotten to write about it... I went to eat pancakes! When I remembered this place and opened it, I realized that I hadn't written about it... I have visited Riz Labo Kitchen Ura Omotesando Garden twice in the past. It's a trendy hidden gem cafe located in the backstreets of Omotesando, where multiple shops operate on different days. They serve gluten-free fluffy pancakes. I went there twice with my dessert-loving high school son (both times with him). The menu is always the same for us (laughs). My son always orders matcha pancakes and iced tea, even in the cold winter. I always go for hazelnut pancakes and iced tea, regardless of the season. They also have cute, Instagram-worthy pancakes, but we prioritize what we want to eat. I hope to go there again while my son is willing to accompany me. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Rizlabo Kitchen (Omotesando) is known for using rice flour to make gluten-free pancakes. Starting in April, they will be offering a new rice flour dessert - crepes (for takeout). Rizlabo is known for their commitment to quality ingredients, so I was excited to try it out. I tried three different crepes: butter sugar, dessert style, and meal style. A. Butter Sugar Crepe: This crepe is made with Calpis butter and a blend of French cassonade sugar and Okinawan Amami brown sugar. The crepe itself has a crispy texture, and the high-quality Calpis butter enhances the flavor. It's not just sweet, but also has a crunchy texture similar to caramel. As you eat it, the texture changes to chewy, which was enjoyable. B. Strawberry-filled Crepe: This crepe is topped with strawberry flowers. It has a mild sweetness with Hokkaido fresh cream, vanilla ice cream, and a crunchy rice flour crumble. It also contains soy milk custard. The crepe is filled with plenty of strawberries until the last bite. A blackberry sauce is provided for flavor variation. It starts off refreshing but as you eat more, the addition of vanilla ice cream brings a sweet and mellow taste. C. Meal Crepe: This crepe contains lettuce, ham, mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. It is a hearty crepe with crunchy lettuce, thick ham, salty cheese, and tangy sun-dried tomatoes. It is topped with healthy soy milk mayonnaise and a hint of pepper. While the pepper and mayonnaise flavors were a bit weak in the first half, they became more pronounced in the second half, making it enjoyable. I look forward to seeing how these crepes will be improved in April. Overall, they were delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Rizlabo Kitchen in Omotesando offers Chocolate Pancakes for 2300 yen with a drink included. This time, I tried their regular menu Chocolate Pancakes after having Matcha Pancakes last time. The pancakes were made with gluten-free rice flour, fluffy and delicious. Topped with chocolate, white chocolate, ruby chocolate, and chocolate sauce, along with a light cream filling. The dish was garnished with plenty of nuts around the plate, adding a nice texture. These Chocolate Pancakes are available all year round and they were really delicious. Thank you for the meal!

This is a gluten-free pancake! When it comes to rice flour, many have a chewy texture, but this pancake was surprisingly fluffy and light, not like a typical rice flour pancake at all! The strawberry cream and white cream paired well with the pancake and were delicious.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Omotesando Station, this restaurant is situated on a back street. It is a renovated traditional house with a retro yet stylish interior. Inside the traditional house, there are various shops where you can enjoy sweets, creating a food court-like atmosphere. This restaurant is open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It has counter seats and tatami mat seating. I tried the Plain Pancake for 1750 yen. The pancake is made with rice flour, making it gluten-free. It is topped with Hokkaido fresh cream and served with organic maple syrup. The pancake made with rice flour has a light and fluffy texture, different from meringue-based pancakes, but it still has a nice chewiness. The gentle flavor of the rice flour is evident, giving it a light and refreshing taste. The milky fresh cream is airy and light. The organic maple syrup is not too sweet, so even when poured generously, it doesn't feel heavy. This gluten-free pancake made with quality ingredients is gentle on the body and healthy. Not too heavy, I finished it in no time!

Rizlabo Kitchen's Uji Matcha and Fresh Strawberry Pancakes for ¥2300 with a drink included. This time, I tried their regular menu item: Matcha Strawberry Pancakes. The pancakes are made with gluten-free rice flour, fluffy and soft, with 3 pieces served. I added an extra pancake this time, making it 4 in total. Even with just 2 pancakes from Rizlabo, they are wobbly, but with 3, they wobbled even more. On top, there are fresh, sweet and sour strawberries as a cute decoration. The matcha cream on top is slightly bitter, yet sweet, with a delightful aroma. The matcha ice cream served alongside is rich and delicious, especially when eaten with the pancake. If you love matcha, I recommend trying this dish. It's been a while since I sat at the counter, and I noticed the Christmas decorations on the side. After indulging in sweet potatoes and chestnuts all autumn, it was a nice change to enjoy some matcha. Thank you for the meal. - Address: 4-15-2 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo - Availability: All year round - Price: ¥2300 with a drink - Hours: 12:00-17:00 - Closed: Please confirm - Visit: 7th time

Headed to Riz Labo Kitchen at Ura Omotesando Garden. It's a building with various dessert shops, and Riz Labo Kitchen is located at the back of the first floor. I ordered the Uji matcha and fresh strawberry pancakes with iced coffee. This place is famous for its gluten-free rice flour pancakes. They offer free Wi-Fi. I was tempted by the Halloween limited edition pancakes, but I love matcha, so I went with that. When the pancakes arrived, the aroma of matcha was amazing! The pancakes were so fluffy. The matcha cream, matcha ice cream, and matcha powder sprinkled on the plate all added to the deliciousness. The pancakes were so fluffy that I finished them in no time. It was really delicious. Rizlabo kitchen served a combination of chestnut, hojicha, and rhubarb pear, and it collapsed in 10 seconds. I tried the chestnut and hojicha pancake at Rizlabo. The fluffy pancakes were made with rice flour and topped with chestnut paste, whipped cream, and hojicha mousse. The chestnut flavor was prominent, and the hojicha mousse melted smoothly in the mouth. The dish also included nuts, blackberry sauce, pomegranate, hojicha jelly, and sweet chestnuts. The separate pear sorbet and rhubarb were refreshing and slightly sour. Overall, the dish had a strong hojicha flavor and was delicious. It was a delightful experience.

Rizlabo Kitchen - Iberico Pork Bacon and Cheese Pine Pancake I chose the cheese pancake at Rizlabo Kitchen because I love cheese. The pancake is made with gluten-free rice flour and comes with two pieces. It is topped with cheese, bacon, pineapple, broccoli, and served with maple syrup on the side. The cheese is flavorful and melts in your mouth, complemented by the slightly spicy bacon. The crispy bacon is sweet and savory, while the sweet grilled pineapple adds a nice touch. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Pancakes with peaches and burrata cheese, gluten-free with rice flour, for ¥2500 with a drink included. I made a reservation and went to try it out. The rice flour pancakes were fluffy, moist, and chewy, with a hint of sweetness that wasn't too overwhelming. The creamy whipped cream was quite sweet, but not overly so. The burrata cheese with olive oil added a nice salty touch, making it a satisfying meal option. I'm not a big fan of sweet foods, but I found this to be enjoyable as the sweetness was subtle. The fresh peaches were deliciously sweet, and I loved the combination of burrata cheese and olive oil. The wait time was about 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, and it was a bit hot and crowded, which affected the overall experience. The ordering process and system were a bit confusing, with no clear instructions provided, causing some confusion.

This time, I had the matcha pancakes. I was looking forward to trying them after seeing them on Instagram. The first impression when they were served was once again beautiful. The chocolate, which changes over time, was rich and had just the right amount of sweetness - I wanted to eat a whole jar of it. The gentle sweetness of the pancake batter was accentuated by the red bean paste, and it paired really well with the separately served bitter sorbet. The cream was light and refreshing as always, and very delicious. The macaron I always have at the end was moist and crunchy, with an indescribable deliciousness. I will visit again. Thank you for always serving delicious pancakes.

I had Forenoir-style pancakes again this week. These pancakes, like works of art, have been a delight since the moment I made a reservation. The fluffy rice flour pancakes are so delicious that I could eat as many as I want. The fresh blueberries add just the right amount of acidity, the rich cream, and the intense, addictive chocolate create a combination that makes me want to eat it again and again. It's really delicious, and while eating it, there are no feelings other than happiness. I feel like I can keep going for a while. Thank you as always. Looking forward to visiting again.
