There is a restaurant located a little east of the intersection of Nishioji Gojo. I visited for lunch and they had a lunch menu with options like stone pot bibimbap, kalbi jjigae ramen, and chige hot pot, most of which were priced at 600 yen. I ordered the kalbi jjigae ramen (600 yen) this time. In addition to the ramen, it came with a side of bean sprout namul. You can add rice for an extra 100 yen. The ramen had ingredients like kalbi, onions, and chives, and the fresh noodles were delicious. The soup was spicy at first, but it had just the right level of spiciness once you got used to it. It was very flavorful and had a taste that could become addictive. I was very satisfied and would like to visit again.

When it comes to Korean cuisine, I usually go to Han no Oshiri Minakasu Branch or Han Shoku Dining Bistro Go Minakasu Branch, but this day we decided to explore a new restaurant in Kyoto. After checking a few places, we called one of the restaurants but they were all fully booked for the weekend. However, we found a place where we only had to wait for 30 minutes, so we decided to go there. We parked near the restaurant and waited for a while before receiving a call from the restaurant to come in. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service, so we were welcomed warmly. The restaurant had a few table seats in addition to the tatami seating where you have to take off your shoes. Unfortunately, the item I was looking forward to the most, Chijimi, was sold out. They recommended their signature dish, the stone pot, with options like seafood stone pot or hormone stone pot, but we decided to order the Samgyeopsal set. We also ordered Daikon Kimchi, Tofu Stew, and Stone Pot Bibimbap. The Samgyeopsal set came with various side dishes like Kimchi, Namul, and Korean seaweed, which you can eat as is or wrap in lettuce. The taste was more refined compared to other Samgyeopsal I've had before. The tofu stew was flavorful and delicious. Even though we thought it might not be enough for two people, we ended up feeling full. Next time, I would like to try the stone pot. The service was excellent and left a lasting impression. Thank you for the meal! ☻

I had lunch at "Kan-san's restaurant" located east of the intersection of Nishioji and Gojo. I took off my shoes at the entrance and entered the restaurant, which had a traditional atmosphere with tatami flooring and cushions. I struggled to choose from the lunch menu, but ended up ordering the classic Korean dish, stone pot bibimbap.
Stone pot bibimbap + soup + pickles (cucumber kimchi) for 600 yen. I mixed the various ingredients with the homemade gochujang sauce. The combination of the homemade gochujang, ingredients, and egg yolk created a delicious flavor. It felt like I was eating tasty stone pot bibimbap after a long time. The price was also reasonable.
The only downside was that sitting on the tatami flooring was a bit tough on my legs and back (possibly due to my own physical condition). I now feel like visiting the restaurant at night as well.

Lunch service is from Monday to Friday, 11:30-13:30 with last orders taken. The restaurant quickly filled up with customers. The lunch menu includes 7 items such as stone bibimbap set meal, pork kimchi yakisoba set meal, kalbi jjigae ramen, kalbi jjigae set meal, tofu jjigae set meal, seafood jjigae set meal, and black wagyu negitoro bowl. The seafood jjigae set meal costs 1000 yen, while the others are 600 yen each, making it a very affordable lunch option. A friend had a luxurious seafood jjigae with crab and oysters, which was spicy and flavorful. I had the negitoro bowl, where the tuna belly moved perfectly to the green onions, topped with seaweed. The black wagyu was mild with the scrambled eggs and had a change in flavor with the seaweed. I didn't want to overstay, so I got up right after finishing my meal.

The interior of the restaurant was smaller than expected, but it had a cozy Korean home-like atmosphere which was nice. The taste was also better than expected, and I was very satisfied. We had the bulgogi for two people, and the meat was very tender and the sweet sauce was incredibly delicious! I definitely want to go back again. ★

I went to the restaurant because I heard they started serving lunch again. The menu had changed a bit, with the 600 yen "Korean set meal" no longer available. Instead, they had daily lunch specials and the popular tofu stew. I ordered the stone bibimbap, ramen tofu stew set for 1000 yen. With a coupon, I paid only 750 yen! The taste was reliably delicious, as always. The tofu in the tofu stew was Kyoto tofu, which added to the deliciousness. It's more relaxed for dinner, but lunchtime can be busy. Taste may vary, but everything was above passing grade.

Eating Korean food in Incheon feels like a distant memory. As summer comes to an end, I decided to satisfy my craving for spicy food by visiting this restaurant after a long time. Located with the Chongryon building in the background, this restaurant has a solid reputation with multiple affiliated stores on the same premises. The Samgyeopsal is served on a crystal board, and the quality of the meat is excellent, using Iberico pork belly that offers a unique and flavorful fat. The Yukhoe is also of good quality, finely chopped for a great texture. Moving on to grilling on a net, the beef is served in a pot and is well-marbled with a good melt-in-your-mouth texture. The seasoning was a bit too sweet for my taste. We also tried the Chapchae, which was simple yet flavorful. The Gyeranmari (rolled omelette) was a bit disappointing, but the sesame flavor was nice. Lastly, we had the Tofu Stew, which had a decent seafood broth flavor but lacked the desired spiciness for a Japanese palate. Overall, the restaurant offers a satisfying experience for both Korean BBQ and Korean cuisine at a reasonable price. Just be cautious not to overeat as the flavors might overwhelm your taste buds. Enjoy with some beer or Makgeolli for a great dining experience.

I had been curious about this place since passing by it before, and finally decided to visit. At first, I felt a bit nervous because it seemed a bit intimidating to enter, but once inside, I found the atmosphere to be calm and pleasant. As a first-timer, I ordered the recommended dishes from the menu. I tried the grilled pork belly, chicken gizzards, chanja sushi rice with liver sashimi, yukhoe (beef tartare), kimchi, two glasses of draft beer, Korean bottled beer, and a liter of makgeolli. I also ordered something else and ended up with a satisfying meal and a nice buzz for just around 5000 yen. It was cheap and delicious, leaving me feeling like I got a good deal. Although I was happy with the experience, I wish they had a variety of other alcoholic beverages like shochu, sake, and wine. Next time I visit, I would like to try other Korean dishes like tteokbokki and chapchae that other customers were enjoying.

I visited after several years, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. It felt like the quality had dropped a bit compared to before. The food was good, but it didn't have that "amazingly delicious!" or "I want to come back!" factor anymore. I used to visit quite often, but now I feel let down. The samgyeopsal tasted like thinly sliced bacon. The quality of the horumon in the hot pot was not great. The chapchae seemed to have a different seasoning compared to before. The fresh and hot texture that I remember was missing. They had raspberry wine on the website menu, but it was not available at the restaurant. There are not many places that serve it, so I was disappointed. The jeon was still relatively tasty. I remember that in the past, I could hear energetic Korean coming from the kitchen, and the service was efficient and lively. However, this time, I didn't feel that atmosphere. Food is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I understand that staff changes and people's situations, health, and taste buds can change, but there are still lingering doubts. As one of the pioneers of the now numerous "Korean restaurants beyond just BBQ," I hope they can make a comeback in the future.

This is a Korean cuisine and yakiniku restaurant. It is part of the same group as the neighboring Wagyu hormone specialty shop Minoya Charcoal Yakiniku Gyugyutei, but as a recommendation, this place is the best. Here, the menu is very extensive, with a wide variety of food and drinks. They offer yakiniku, hormone, raw meat, samgyupsal, jjigae, naengmyeon, bibimbap, stone pot dishes, and several types of makgeolli, as well as other Korean alcohol and soft drinks. It's fun just to look at the menu. Among them, I highly recommend trying the samgyupsal. It was here that I first tried it and became hooked. For those who think samgyupsal is nothing special, there is something called "Iberico pork samgyupsal" here. The melting fat is sweet and not too heavy. It's recommended. With such a wide variety of menu options, it's easy to use for those who want a hearty yakiniku meal, those who want to snack on hormone while drinking, those who are detoxing with Korean cuisine, etc. It's very delicious and satisfying every time.
