Hello. I'm Keinsuke. Today, I would like to introduce a cafe called "Tokaku Coffee" in Kiyosumi Shirakawa. This was one of the cafes I definitely wanted to visit during my Tokyo pudding expedition. It is located in the town of Kiyosumi Shirakawa, where third wave cafes gather. I walked in the rain for about 10 minutes from the station to get there. It was a popular cafe, so I visited around the opening time on a Saturday. Even though there were some available seats, it was still quite crowded. It's amazing that the seats were filling up from this early hour even on a rainy day. First, you order at the counter. I was relieved to see the pudding in the showcase. Sometimes when you go around opening time, there are cafes that say "it's not ready yet..." (laughs) There are table seats and counter seats, making it easy for even one person to enter. It's nice that even a man alone doesn't feel out of place.

◎ Nakatsu-san's Brazilian Pudding (550 yen)
Nakatsu-san is a person who studies Brazilian pudding. For those who don't know what pudding is, it is a two-layered dessert with sponge cake on top and pudding underneath. This sponge cake has a cocoa sponge with a rich and bitter caramel soaked in it, which is very delicious. The combination with the firm and rich pudding creates a new texture dessert.
<Summary>
I have been to several places in Kansai where you can eat pudding, and honestly, I didn't think it was that delicious. But after trying the pudding here, my opinion changed. It's really delicious! If you haven't tried pudding before, I definitely recommend coming here to try it. Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Tokaku Coffee"! It was located behind Kiyosumi Garden, about a 5-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. My friend really wanted to try the Brazilian pudding, so we decided to visit. We arrived around 11 am when they open at 10 am, and the small café was already full with a few small tables and three counter seats. We placed our order and paid upfront (cash only), received the pudding, and then our drinks were brought to our table. I ordered an iced café au lait because it was too hot for hot coffee. The pudding was a unique combination of pudding and sponge cake, which my friend said was typical of Brazilian pudding. She mentioned that it's not commonly found in Tokyo, so we felt lucky to have tried it. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited on September 15, 2023. I noticed a long line forming on a previous Saturday, so I decided to visit on a weekday morning. It was quite a popular cafe. I arrived around 11 am. There were only two men ahead of me. I ordered and paid at the counter. I ordered an iced cafe au lait for 600 yen and Mr. Nakatsu's Brazilian pudding for 500 yen. The Brazilian pudding was displayed in the counter case. It was still in a perfect circle as no one had ordered it yet. I took the pudding to my table. The visual appeal of the Brazilian pudding caught my attention. It had a cocoa-flavored sponge base and a slightly firm pudding layer on top, like a fusion of cake and pudding. The caramel wasn't too bitter and the pudding was juicy. The coffee had several options, but I opted for the iced cafe au lait, which was surprisingly delicious with a refined bitterness. It would have been even better with more ice. Thank you for the meal.

I had coffee and pudding cake at a terrace seat. The pudding was on top and the cake was on the bottom. The pudding was a bit firm! There were five types of coffee to choose from, each with a description, so I was able to drink the coffee that suited me!

Tokaku Coffee✔Mr. Nakatsu's Brazilian pudding is firm and rich, with a moist texture. The base is a chocolate sponge, and the caramel sauce is soaked in! The sweetness is irresistible to those with a sweet tooth! The visual presentation is also amazing ♡ Everyone was enjoying this! #TokakuCoffee #KiyosumiShirakawaCafe #FirmPudding

I always wanted to try Tokaku Coffee! When I arrived at 3:30, the pudding was already sold out. The people inside the shop were eating it, so maybe they just finished it. But the chocolate chip cookie was also very delicious! It was a homemade cookie with a gentle sweetness that I like! There were many other types of cookies, so I want to try them all. The latte was also delicious ⭐︎

The highlight of the day was "Mr. Nakatsu's Brazilian Pudding." The coffee ordered together was a guest coffee from Roast Design Coffee in Kanagawa Prefecture, called "Guatemara (high roast)." Mr. Nakatsu's Brazilian Pudding has two layers, with a cocoa-flavored sponge cake at the bottom and a firm custard on top. It does not contain vanilla beans, and the custard is a bit lacking in egg flavor. The caramel also lacks a bit of bitterness. The combination of the cocoa sponge cake and custard is not very good. There is not much synergy when eating them together. Unfortunately, the Guatemara coffee personally tasted floral, with a pleasant hint of bitterness. It has a soft texture and a thick consistency when held in the mouth.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, this shop offers Brazilian pudding called "Pudim". I ordered Mr. Nakatsu's Brazilian Pudim and an iced café au lait. The pudding was a smooth and not too sweet caramel pudding on top of a cocoa sponge cake base. It was softer than typical firm pudding, and it was my first time trying Pudim but it was incredibly delicious! The shop has a stylish yet playful atmosphere, making it enjoyable for children as well. There are 3 counter seats and about 5 table seats. They also sell coffee in the shop. I visited around 4 pm on a holiday and was able to get in without much of a wait. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

There is only one Brazilian pudding researcher in Japan. You can enjoy his perfected pudding in Kiyosumi Shirakawa. The pudding, known as "pudim" in Portuguese, is a popular dessert in Brazilian households. It is a rich Brazilian-style pudding made with eggs, milk, and condensed milk, often served on top of a cocoa sponge cake. The key feature of Brazilian pudding is using condensed milk, resulting in a firm texture and intense flavor. I ordered "Nakatsu's Brazilian Pudim" (1 slice for 500 yen) and an "Iced Cafe au Lait" (600 yen). The pudding lived up to its reputation with its rich condensed milk flavor and gentle taste. The cocoa sponge cake was not too sweet, and the generous caramel topping added a bittersweet touch to the whole dessert. Enjoying it with an iced cafe au lait made it a blissful experience.

I've been curious about this place that I've been seeing on Instagram. It seems they have something called Brazilian pão de queijo. The conclusion is that it was really delicious. Also, even though it was Sunday lunchtime and the place was full, there was no waiting outside and it was comfortable. The only downside was that they only had blended iced coffee, which wasn't very tasty.

Visited at 1:30 pm on Sunday and although it was full, we were seated within a few minutes. Ordered Brazilian Pudim for 500 yen, Black Tea and Banana Cheesecake for 500 yen, Coffee (Peru) for 500 yen, and Coffee (Indonesia) for 500 yen. While waiting for the coffee to arrive, took a bite of the Pudim. The caramel with a hint of bitterness and firm pudding was delicious. The moderate acidity and astringency of the Peruvian coffee paired well. The Indonesian coffee was even more astringent and sharp, which was also good. The cheesecake was mildly sweet with the banana flavor standing out. Both were generously sized and satisfying to eat. The famous Pudim was indeed delicious, and it really satisfied my craving for pudding! Thank you for the meal!

Near Kiyosumi Gardens! Went to try the popular Brazilian Pudim! The sponge part is dense like a mix of sponge and brownie! The caramel is super bitter! The pudding part is super creamy! It was a satisfying Pudim that feels like eating cake! The Brazilian Pudim served at Tokaku Coffee Plus is made based on the recipe of the only Brazilian Pudim researcher in Japan, Mr. Yuharu Nakatsu! (Pudim is a traditional Brazilian dessert!)

I arrived 5 minutes before the store opened at 10 a.m. Luckily, there was no line, but when I looked back, more and more customers were coming. The store was as stylish as it appeared in various photos. I ordered the pudding and coffee I wanted. I devoured them in no time.

On my way to Kiyosumi Teien, I finally tried the TOKAKU pudding that I had been curious about. It was delicious, especially the caramel sauce with a hint of bitterness, perfect for adults. I also enjoyed a tasty Colombian coffee. I will definitely include this stop in my walking route next time.

I arrived at the restaurant around 2:30 pm on a holiday. There was a line in front of the shop. I waited for about 20 minutes before being seated. I ordered the pudding and Ethiopian coffee. Surprisingly, there were only 2 puddings left. Luckily, I got one. The pudding was large in size, and the base was like a sponge. The slight bitterness of the caramel was just right and delicious! I would like to visit again.

Located near Kiyosumi Garden, we visited this place as a couple. The interior of the restaurant was always busy, but had a comfortable level of background noise. The homemade pudding (Brazilian pudding?) tasted like a typical tiramisu pudding, but it was not as delicious as it looked, at least in my opinion. The iced coffee was easy to drink, had a good richness and was delicious. If you're lost in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, this place is a recommended option to consider.

I went to Tokaku Coffee for tea, and they had a Brazilian pudding-like dessert called "Pudim." It had two layers - a firm, eggy pudding on top and a cocoa sponge on the bottom with a chewy texture. The sponge soaked up the caramel, making it moist and delicious. The caramel wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to finish the whole dessert in one go!

Located near Kiyosumi Park, this café is about a 7-8 minute walk from the station. They serve a Brazilian Pudim made by Mr. Nakatsu, with a beautiful two-layered combination of sponge cake and pudding that builds anticipation. The soft pudding and sponge cake blend perfectly with the caramel sauce, creating a balance of sweetness and a hint of bitterness that keeps you wanting more. The satisfying taste makes you want to eat more and you'll find yourself finishing it all in no time.

Today I woke up slowly and had a sandwich I bought last night for breakfast... However, I felt like it wasn't enough, so I went out for a walk to have some sweets. I visited a shop called "Tokaku Coffee" near Kiyosumi Shirakawa Park (photo 1). I entered the shop a little after 11 am and there were already a few customers, including solo female customers. I placed my order, getting the planned "Pudim (¥500)" and the strongest coffee available. In about 3-4 minutes, it was served to me (photo 2). This dessert is a Brazilian pudding with sponge cake at the bottom. There was caramel sauce around it, making it very sweet. It also had elements of cake, so it was quite satisfying. It's a really good dessert... It seems like it might become popular this year, and I definitely agree.

[TOKAKU coffee+ (#Kiyosumi-Shirakawa)]
Located a 6-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, "TOKAKU coffee+" is a café I visited around 4:00 PM on a Sunday.
- Brazil Pudding (¥500)
- Hot Tea (¥500)
Brazil Pudding, known as "Pudim" in Portuguese, is a unique dessert originating from Brazil. It consists of a layer of cocoa sponge cake and condensed milk pudding. The pudding itself has a strong milky flavor, while the cocoa sponge cake has a hint of caramel bitterness, creating a sophisticated taste. The appearance and texture offer a new and delightful eating experience. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind pudding, I recommend trying this. The café has a calm atmosphere, perfect for relaxing alone. It was quite crowded even on a Sunday at 4:00 PM, so be prepared to wait during holidays. I suggest paying a visit to experience this unique dessert. Thank you for the meal.
