I visited after dinner for dessert in Kagurazaka. Even though it was close to 7 pm, they were still open so we decided to go in. I had the Chocolat Rouge and Rare Cheesecake, both were not too sweet but had a rich taste and were delicious. The iced coffee came with coffee ice cubes in the glass, where you pour coffee over to make iced coffee. The service was polite and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The table space was a bit small, but it was clean and I was able to enjoy my dessert leisurely. I was satisfied.

- Savarin ¥650
- Choux au Fruit ¥630
- Cafe Latte ¥590
- Iced Latte ¥590
☁️ The Savarin pastry has a fluffy texture with a slightly dry feel, but it has a good chewiness. The alcohol flavor is subtle and not too sweet. It goes really well with the whipped cream. Personally, I wish there was more of an alcohol taste! The person I shared it with doesn't drink alcohol at all and when they tried it, they said it had a nice alcohol taste.
☁️ The Choux au Fruit is a rare cheesecake that is very smooth and not too sweet. It has a refreshing yogurt-like taste, making it easy to finish in one go.

I visited for takeout on Sunday, but the shop also has a nice seating area for dining in. I purchased three flavors of macarons - vanilla, mocha, and cocoa. They had simple flavors that I liked, and the prices were reasonable for Kagurazaka. Thank you for the meal, and thank you very much.

Eating in, or rather, there are about four tables inside, so you can see outside during cafe time. There is a bistro with appetizers as the main attraction in the front called Bongou, and in the back, there is a famous shop called Au Merveilleux de Fred with a high concentration of women. It's quite crowded in Kagurazaka today, the first day of Golden Week. It's a bit of a slope from Iidabashi, but when the weather is nice, it feels light on your feet. Everywhere seems to have quite a line. Today, I ordered Ange (more like squeezed fresh cheese cake than raw cheese cake, I love this one, just like Chez Shima in Kojimachi) and Plaisir, paired with chamomile tea (hot). The tea arrives first, and they advise, "The tea is at the right temperature, so we'll bring out the cake soon. Just let it steep a bit." The cake arrives shortly after. In the showcase, there are also cakes with non-alcoholic explanations displayed neatly. After eating, we pay the bill. Now, where should we go next?

The cakes and coffee are delicious, and the staff is very attentive. I dined in, but there were constantly customers coming in for takeout. It's popular. It would be even better if they accepted QR code payments since they currently only accept cash.

It is always crowded, but on this day, perhaps due to the rain, there were empty seats in the eat-in area so my partner and I decided to have tea. Local customers were buying cakes and pastries one after another, showing that this place is loved by the locals. The pricing is not too high, but raising it further might be tough. I ordered a cake called "T" and coffee, while my partner ordered an iced cafe au lait. The recommended cake was the Savarin, but it was sold out. Since they recommended the Savarin, I chose a cake with alcohol in it. I ended up choosing the cake called "T", which is a tea-based cake with Grand Marnier liqueur. You can definitely taste the alcohol in the moist cake. The black tea cream is somewhat nostalgic and the cake is very sweet but quite delicious. It seems good for a tired body. The coffee was average. The macaron my partner ordered was small in size. I had a bite and the acidity of the raspberry seemed to go well. The baked goods also looked good.

I found a patisserie called Bon Ribelle at 107 Yarai-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, which was open even at night, so I bought some pastries to take home. There were a few seats inside where you could also eat in. Despite its somewhat upscale appearance, the interior felt like a traditional cake shop.
- Savarin: 610 yen
The rum flavor is quite strong. It might be a bit too moist.
- Choux au Fruity Rare Cheese: 600 yen
Fluffy rare cheese. The sponge also seemed a bit too moist. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the main street of Kagurazaka, this cake shop is run by a chef with experience training in France. Kagurazaka is often referred to as the "Little Paris" of Tokyo, with several cake and bread shops scattered around. You can also enjoy eating in the shop, with a selection of coffee, tea, and other beverages available. The cakes on display are nostalgic rather than trendy, and I chose the "Souffle Fromage" cheesecake on this visit. The top part of the cake tasted like the sweet cheesecakes I used to enjoy from a local bakery when I was a child. While there are many variations like Basque cheesecake or New York cheesecake, I personally prefer these traditional cheesecakes. I'm curious to try the shortcake next time, but I know I'll probably end up getting lost in the choices in the display case again.

Bon Ribail on Kagurazaka Hill. This area has many cake shops and feels like a fierce battleground. This time, I tried their cheesecake and Bavarois. I took them home and enjoyed them with coffee. The cheesecake was moist and had a good texture. The Bavarois had a nice acidity to it and was delicious. However, the size was a concern. Despite being quite small, the prices were high. Cheesecake: 550 yen, Bavarois: 610 yen. The cost performance is not great. However, Bon Ribail's cakes are said to be additive-free. They seem to have a focus on ingredients, so the small size and slightly high prices may be understandable. It was tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Kagurazaka is a fierce battleground for Western-style sweets. The taste of this shop in Kagurazaka is not the best, but it is convenient as it is close to the Tozai Line station.

Présir: 590 yen
A cake similar to Chiboust. It has three layers of sponge cake and mousse. The complex sweetness is good. The price is reasonable, but the taste is like a chain store. It is smaller than other shops.
Overall, compared to authentic Western-style pastry shops in Kagurazaka like Atelier Cohta, Amitie, Caravanson, Le Coin Vert, and Merveille, this shop is quite lacking. I wouldn't specifically come to Kagurazaka just to eat here, but it could be an option when you want to have a little tea near the station.

This is a cake shop near Kagurazaka Station. Despite Kagurazaka being surprisingly quiet at night, this shop stays open quite late, making it possible to buy cakes even after work on weekdays. I tried the Opera cake this time, which was priced at 570 yen. It was a delicious Opera cake, meticulously made with beautiful layers visible from the side! I opted for takeout this time, but enjoying it with coffee or tea while exploring Kagurazaka would also be nice (^-^)

A shop I've visited several times. The cakes are small but a bit pricey, yet I still end up buying them... haha. They have a variety of cakes with strong flavors of Japanese sake and brandy, delicately made. It's the kind of cake that feels like it was made by Japanese people in a good way. They also have terrace seating, so I recommend it.

After eating, I wanted something sweet. So, on the way home, I stopped by a cake shop. It was already past 7:30, but it was still open! This time, I got a takeout, but they said dining in was also okay. The shortcake I had was moist and fluffy, with the sponge soaked in syrup giving it a unique texture. It was a bit crumbly, but in a good way. Thank you for the meal!

Simple and tasty cakes. They are more fluffy than moist. The image is similar to the cakes at Fujiya. They are different from the rich and expensive cakes in Kagurazaka, but they were delicious. They might be rare in Kagurazaka.

A long-established patisserie in Kagurazaka. They offer takeout options as well as a few eat-in spaces inside. I often stop by near the Salon de The. I got their delicious cheesecake for takeout this time ❤️ I'll try dining in next time ❤️

It's a shop that feels like a Western confectionery store with an eat-in area. I had the "Sable Nature" for takeout. It's a crunchy sable cookie that doesn't have caramel, but it has a texture and flavor that makes it seem like caramel is mixed in.

Taking a short break, just 15 minutes. Maybe cakes come out faster than coffee (lol). No, no, I took a break because I wanted to eat cake. There were so many pretty and delicious-looking cakes lined up, it was hard to choose, but I decided on the meringue cake that was the last one in the showcase. I'm weak for limited edition or last one left kind of things. But in the end, the cake that came out after I ordered was the same one brought from the back. (lol) Maybe they brought out the freshly made one today. It was not only sweet, but also had a good aroma and was delicious in an exciting way. But more than that, its appearance was lovely. It felt almost a shame to break it with a fork. And the texture was also amazing. It was like a dreamy moment. I want to try other cakes too. Maybe I'll stop by and buy one on my way home next time.

After finishing up my errands in Iidabashi, I decided to wander towards Kagurazaka. I searched for sweets in Kagurazaka and found a few options, but the one that caught my eye the most was this shop. It seemed to be close to the station, so I decided to take a look! I passed the exit of Kagurazaka Station and found the shop a little further down the street. There was a charming terrace seating area in front of the shop. Inside, there were seats for dining in as well. Hmm, I think I'll just get some to take home. I chose the "Te" and "Tiramisu" cakes. The "Te" cake had layers with black tea cream and Grand Marnier liqueur. It had a classical vibe and was delicious. The Tiramisu cake was served in a cup, with a subtle dusting of cocoa on top. When I dug my spoon in, the inside was quite soft. Oh, but this might be the most delicious Tiramisu I've had so far? It wasn't the shop I originally set out to visit, but if I have the chance, I'd love to stop by again. Thank you for the meal!

Meringue cake shop near Kagurazaka Station. It is open until late. Inside the shop, there are certificates displayed, so it seems like the shop is run by someone who has excelled in the field. While looking at the menu, I found a rare meringue cake. Out of curiosity, I ordered it to go. The texture is very smooth, and the meringue has a subtle sweetness just as I expected.

I visited after enjoying dinner at Hasabon. It is located right in front of Kagurazaka Station. I had purchased something from here a few years ago. The pastry chef here trained at "Le Notre". There are table seats in front of the showcase, so you can also eat in. I purchased the following items, excluding tax:
- "Te" (490 yen): A layered cake with black tea buttercream and sponge. It has a strong taste of Grand Marnier, with a nostalgic flavor.
- "Umeshu Jelly" (500 yen): Jelly made with homemade umeshu, with a plum on top. The texture is loose to be enjoyed in-house, so if you take it out, it's better to chill and solidify it.
- "Sable Nature" (190 yen): A simple sable with a crumbly texture.
- "Cake Amande" (230 yen): A flavorful cake made with a lot of almond powder.
- "Financier" (260 yen): A dry type of financier that you can't resist buying when you see it. There used to be a beloved cake shop called "Catherine de Medici" near here. I used to visit it every day when I lived in Kagurazaka. New shops have opened up now. The neighboring new bakery looks good too, but it was closed at this time. I'd like to stop by next time.
