Opened in 2014 in Ryogoku, the roastery and tasting bar "Single O Japan" has now opened its flagship store in the Hamacho area of Tokyo Nihonbashi in October 2021. Single O originated in Surry Hills, Sydney, Australia in 2003 and has grown to become a legendary cafe known for its cafe culture. The highlight of Single O Hamacho is the self-service Freepour Coffee On Tap Bar, the first of its kind in Japan, where you can enjoy various specialty single-origin coffees on tap similar to craft beer for just 300 yen per cup. The food menu is a fusion of Australian and Japanese favorites, changing seasonally. The Australian-origin Jaffle hot sandwich is also worth trying. Other notable drinks include hot chocolate made with chocolate from the famous chocolate shop "Dandelion Chocolate". The cozy atmosphere with great background music and the presence of WASHIO TOMOYUKI make it a perfect spot for Instagram photos. The Tanzanian single-origin coffee I tried on this day had a pleasant aroma with hints of citrus and blueberry, a nutty taste, and a slightly citrusy finish. Coffee on Tap: 300 yen (tax included) Opening hours: Mon - Fri 7:30-19:00, Sat - Sun 8:00-19:00 Closed: None.

I felt like having bread on a holiday morning, so I went to buy some. The shop I was looking for was closed, but there was a cafe nearby that I had been curious about. It was empty in the morning, so I decided to go in. I ordered a prosciutto and cheese, and a Vegemite butter and cheese hot sandwich to share. The prosciutto and cheese had a strong salty flavor and was very delicious. I couldn't imagine what Vegemite butter would taste like, but it was surprisingly tasty with the onion jam as an accent. The coffee had a refreshing acidity, making it a perfect cup for the morning.

I visited Single O Hamacho, where coffee is served in a unique style. I ordered the Banana Bread (600 yen) and the Tap Coffee (400 yen). This place has always caught my eye, but it was always full of foreign customers whenever I passed by. They have a unique self-service system where you can enjoy a variety of single-origin specialty coffees from the Freepour Coffee On Tap Bar. The food menu offers a fusion of Australian and Japanese cuisine, served according to the season. When I arrived around 9 am on a weekday (during the Obon holiday), about half of the seats were available. It was my first time visiting, and I was happy to finally get a seat. The 400 yen Tap Coffee of the day featured coffees from Zambia and Kenya. The Zambian coffee had a refreshing taste with hints of black cherry and peach acidity, making it easy to drink. The Banana Bread was topped with espresso butter and was generously sized. It had a mild sweetness and was easy to eat. While it's nice to enjoy a leisurely coffee time on days off, it's also great to be able to enjoy good coffee quickly during busy times. The self-service tap coffee system allows you to enjoy delicious coffee conveniently and quickly, which is a great concept. I had a delicious time on this day as well. Thank you for the meal.

Electronic payment possible, VISA touch available. Tap coffee system - self-service where coffee comes out when you place a cup. This is fun! The interior is a bit small, with many stylish people. The banana bread is delicious. The iced coffee is definitely tastier than regular iced coffee. It's a bit too good to be drank like barley tea. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but it feels like a stylish place suddenly appears out of nowhere.

A cafe located a short walk from Suitengu-mae, where you can enjoy a morning set. They offer several types of coffee beans from South America and Africa, and you pour the coffee yourself after receiving the cup. In addition to cookies and cakes, the morning set also includes hot sandwiches, which were all delicious. The interior of the cafe is unique and there were foreign tourists, creating a very unique and enjoyable atmosphere!

Today, I visited here. I had about 30 minutes until my scheduled appointment, so I decided to stop by to escape the intense heat. It was around 11 AM on a weekday, and the place was about 70% full. I ordered a tap coffee. They have 5 types of coffee, with 4 being the daily coffee specials and the remaining 1 being specialty coffee for an additional 100 yen. This time, I chose the daily coffee special from Zambia.
- Batch Brew On Tap 350 yen/tax included

It has a flavor reminiscent of black cherry and peach. When you take a sip, you can taste the fruity acidity that follows. The aroma is also very nice, it smoothly passes through the nose. Thank you for the meal.
I am satisfied with being able to enjoy high-quality coffee at a very reasonable price. I would visit again if I have the chance.

I found this cafe by chance while strolling around without doing any research beforehand. It was a stylish cafe, but the system was a bit confusing and there was no guidance from the staff, so when I hesitated, I was told, "You need to order first!" Oh... There was no explanation about the taste of the drinks either, so I just received some brief advice and placed my order. However, when I tried the drink... Huh? Huh? Huh? It was different from what I expected. I wish there had been more explanation about the taste... After I looked it up at home, I realized it was actually a really amazing place. If I had done some research before going, I would have ordered something different, like a black coffee. I wasn't hungry at the time, so I didn't choose any cakes, but I should have tried ordering one. The interior of the cafe had a calm and stylish atmosphere, but the small size of the place made the tables and chairs a bit cramped, especially the seat I sat in was uncomfortable. Also, there seemed to be many regular customers, so the atmosphere felt a bit intimidating for first-time visitors. The coffee they offer is very intriguing, but I don't have the courage to go back for a second time... Hmm. If you are not shy and really want to try the coffee, it might be a good place for you.

Originating from Sydney, this café is located on Kiyosu Bridge Street, a little over 20 minutes from Nihonbashi and just over 10 minutes on foot from Suitengu Shrine. They serve tap coffee, making it convenient for a quick cup on the go. It was not crowded on the day I visited, so I was able to sit down and take a break. The carrot cake was generous in portion and had a nice spicy kick to it. The oat milk café latte was mild and delicious. There are many delicious restaurants around Suitengu Shrine and Hamacho, so walking around to burn off the extra calories from eating too much is a good idea.

About a 5-minute walk from Suitengu-mae Station. This is the flagship store of the Sydney-based roaster cafe Single O. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and even a terrace. The monochrome wall art and orange marble-patterned tables give it a stylish vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed and open, perfect for chilling out. We tried the Banana Bread with Espresso Butter for 550 yen, Espresso with Milk for 450 yen, and Decaf for an additional 50 yen. They warm up the Banana Bread for you. It turned out to be larger than expected, with a crispy surface and a soft and moist interior. The rich banana aroma and flavor paired perfectly with the bitterness of the espresso butter. You can easily enjoy a cup of coffee from the tap for just 300 yen. They open early, so it's a great spot for enjoying delicious sweets and coffee for a morning activity.

I used this place as a meeting spot during heavy rain caused by a typhoon. I started with an iced coffee but got cold, so I switched to a hot coffee. My routine is to choose a coffee with low acidity, and the iced coffee I picked was refreshing. The hot coffee is self-serve style, which is also something new and interesting.

This is a cafe located on the right side as you head from Hamacho to Kiyosu Bridge. I brought a pot that can hold a Starbucks Grande, but the cafe latte here is the size of two Starbucks Grandes for 1,000 yen. The hot sandwich in the photo was also 1,000 yen, so the total came to 2,000 yen. I'll leave the judgment up to you.

I enjoyed Guatemala in ice cream form♪ It was easy to drink, rich, and had a unique taste that you don't find in chain stores. The iced coffee was interesting as it was poured from a tap, and the casual atmosphere with many foreigners gave it a Western feel. Overall, the restaurant had a good vibe.(*^^*)

Visited the flagship store of the Sydney-based coffee roaster 'Single O Hamacho' for the first time ⭐️ This Tokyo branch of the legendary café that has grown to be called a legendary café in Sydney's "Surry Hills" is finally OPEN! It features a self-serve "Freepour Coffee On Tap Bar" where you can enjoy various types of single origin coffee. ——When to visit—— Holiday café (GW) ——Reservation—— No reservation, there may be a wait (about 5 minutes) ——Usage scene—— With family (2 people) ——Cost—— Up to ¥1,000 ——Food content—— ▶ Drip Coffee Honduras: A fragrant and fruity taste with a good balance of bitterness and acidity, light and delicious!! ▶ Matcha roll cake: Bitter and rich matcha flavor, delicious!! The roll cake is also fluffy and tasty (○・∀・○) ——Menu content—— ◇ Drip Coffee Honduras ¥550 ◇ Matcha roll cake ——Service—— There are many young staff members, but they explain the types of coffee very carefully and kindly teach you how to self-serve. However, there were some mistakes like forgetting to give a receipt and seeming inexperienced in handling. Also, the explanation of the toilet location was unclear and I couldn't find it, so I gave up. I wish they had explained it more clearly. ——Cost performance—— Price is reasonable ——Atmosphere—— Stylish and designer-like interior. It seems like they are baking banana bread in the store, as there was a faint banana smell lingering, which was a bit strong for me as I'm not a fan. ——Revisit—— ★★☆☆☆ If I have the chance again!

[Time]
I used it for tea time. It was snack time on a holiday, so I was worried about how crowded it would be, but there were a few empty seats and I was able to eat in without waiting.
[Atmosphere]
The interior of the shop was calm and dark, with many solo customers. Although each seat was not spacious, there was an open feeling in the shop, such as terrace seats facing the street, so it was comfortable. I think it's perfect for when you want to enjoy a peaceful time alone.

Hot coffee / Carrot cake
When you order coffee, the staff will ask about your preferences and recommend from several types of beans. The server-style coffee was fresh, which made it feel a bit special. The carrot cake was thinly sliced but large in size, so I didn't feel unsatisfied. It was quite light, with frosting that was relatively less sweet and a cream with a firm texture, like cold butter. The muffins and hot sandwiches also looked very delicious, so I plan to try them next time.
[Cost performance]
Carrot cake and hot coffee cost just under 1,000 yen, which is relatively reasonable. The hot sandwiches were also priced lower than other stores. Thank you for the meal.

I am happy with the 350 yen iced coffee. It had a slightly sweet and bitter taste, making it easy to drink. If you're not sure what coffee to choose, the staff will kindly help you. The service was also impressive. The banana bread with espresso butter was delicious, adding a nice touch.

Clear blue sky, morning breeze by the Sumida River... It feels so pleasant. I walked towards a soba restaurant recommended by the hotel staff where I am staying, located next to a popular tourist spot. Along the way, I discovered a compact and stylish cafe that seemed to be popular among nearby office workers. The atmosphere was picturesque with people enjoying their time there. I decided to try their "Tap Coffee" where I could choose my coffee by tapping on the menu. I chose today's coffee, RESERVOIR (¥650), and it was poured into a cup placed on a stand. It was a fun experience and the coffee was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Sydney-based coffee roaster "Single O Hamacho" in Australia. The shop is located near Kiyosu Bridge, with Hamacho Station being the closest, but you have to walk a bit. There is also a shop in Asakusa-bashi. Many people on Instagram and in reviews were posting about the carrot cake, but it was sold out on the day I went in the evening. The coffee poured from a beer tap-like device called Tap Coffee was only 300 yen, which seems like a good deal in Tokyo! The Espresso Milk and Vanilla Cookie Espresso had a slight acidity, but it wasn't too strong, and it turned into a subtle bitterness after finishing the drink. The banana bread also looked delicious, so I might visit the Asakusa-bashi store while taking a walk. Thank you for the meal.

It was around 12:30 on a holiday. The seats were about 70% full, but it was good, I could still find a seat. I was happy to see that they had decaf coffee. I also ordered the carrot cake because I saw good reviews about it. It was a bit warm, so I waited on the terrace, but it was still chilly so I went back inside. The carrot cake was delicious! I never really wanted to try it before, but the cinnamon flavor was great and it paired perfectly with the cream cheese. The decaf coffee was served in a beaker-like cup and you could taste the quality of the beans. I'm not a coffee expert, but it was really delicious. You can also buy their beans. The interior of the shop was very stylish and trendy, the staff were friendly, and the music had a good taste. I felt like I could stay there for a long time. It started getting really crowded around 1 pm, so I gave up my seat. I will definitely come back again.

I found "Single O Hamacho" while wandering the streets looking for breakfast after a night out. The atmosphere is like something you'd find overseas, with a few foreigners sprinkled in the mix. Despite being in Nihonbashi, it gives off a Roppongi vibe. The large window at the front gives the place an open feel, but you actually have to enter from the right side of the building through an elevator hall. The entrance can be a bit confusing. The toilet is also in this elevator hall, a bit hard to find. Finally inside, I ordered a coffee. I chose from their recommended coffees based on my mood this morning, and received a cup to pour myself from a server. It's a small experience, but perfect for those who prefer a bit of distance. I had a pleasant morning with a hot sandwich and their recommended coffee. Despite being quite busy for a morning, the staff were cheerful and efficient, making the experience enjoyable. I would definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

A cafe located about a 5-minute walk from the Suitengu-mae Station towards Shin-ohashi Bridge. I visited around 3 pm on a Sunday. The interior of the cafe has both counter seats and table seats, with a terrace seat outside. The distance between the table seats is quite close, which may feel a bit cramped. When I arrived, the cafe was full, but after a few minutes, a seat opened up on the terrace, so I was able to enjoy without freezing on the cold day. I ordered the carrot cake that I had been curious about, and a hot cafe latte. Although there was also banana bread, I chose the carrot cake that I had been interested in for a while. The carrot cake was moist but not overly so, with a nice balance of fluffiness. The spices were not too overpowering, making it a carrot cake that would be well-received by many people. Some may prefer a stronger flavor, though. The frosting had a light acidity and added a smooth texture to the cake. It was a very well-behaved carrot cake. Now I'm curious about the banana bread, so I will come back again.

〈Cafe Latte〉The creaminess of the top layer is irresistible, and as you drink, you can enjoy the latte art and feel like you're getting a little extra. It doesn't have a strong bitterness, and it doesn't taste oxidized, showcasing the natural acidity of the beans. It was my first time trying a Cafe Latte that I couldn't stop sipping. Delicious! Will definitely visit again.
〈Vanilla Cookie〉It's huge! The buttery aroma with a hint of vanilla makes it a serious cookie. A great companion when you have work to do! It's so tasty that I want to try other side menu items next time. ★ It's a bit away from the station. The interior is almost full of customers, surrounded by buildings, giving a lively yet quiet atmosphere. There are quite a few staff members, but they excel in service and have a casual yet smart presence. A wonderful cafe.
