Located in a part of Kyoto away from the hustle and bustle of Kawaramachi and Karasuma, this restaurant had a menu where all dishes were priced over 1000 yen, which is relatively high. The dishes were all well-prepared with careful attention to detail. The restaurant's interior looked like a Western-style eatery at first glance, but about half of the dishes seemed to have a Japanese influence, leading me to believe that perhaps it used to be a Western restaurant. It felt like the restaurant values its regular customers, whether in a positive or negative way.

At first glance, the dishes may seem ordinary but they are actually delicious with a special touch! The menu also offers unique and creative options, so you never get tired of coming back. The only downside is that the restaurant is small. However, the cozy atmosphere makes you forget about the passing time.

I went to a place where you can have dinner after 10 pm. They offer a variety of dishes from sashimi to Western food. The atmosphere is cozy with only two tables at the counter. The portions are small but comforting, like a home-cooked meal. The seafood stew is light and not too spicy, with a variety of ingredients. The chashu yakisoba has tender and delicious pork. The food is simple but the owners are very friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to relax and unwind, even if you're dining alone.

This is a restaurant that I often visit since it was introduced to me in the past. It is within walking distance from Marutamachi subway station. The restaurant has about 8 counter seats and 2 table seats. It is not a large restaurant and is run by a couple, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. They have main menu items as well as daily specials. My favorite dishes are the omelette with beef stew and seared sea bream. You must try them at least once. Also, the seasonal dish of grilled shirako (cod milt) with butter is exquisite. The lovely couple who run the restaurant create a truly relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Whether going alone or with friends, I often find myself realizing it's close to the last train and start to panic. But for some reason, I feel comfortable here. Laughing with the person next to me whom I just met is always a good time (^_^) I usually start with boiled konjac and then choose between Japanese, Western, or Chinese cuisine based on my mood that day. The tomato salad from Kyoto Kamo is recommended for this season. For drinks, there is shochu, sake, etc. I personally don't drink sake, but they seem to have a selection of high-quality ones. The lunch menu changes daily and is reasonably priced and satisfying. Since it's in an office district, consider going at a slightly different time to avoid the rush. They also host private parties, so it's recommended to inquire in advance! Please note that their regular holiday has changed to Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Make sure to check before visiting!
