I visited my favorite restaurant, 6th by ORIENTAL HOTEL, after a long time. It is a popular Italian cafe & bar with a nice atmosphere located in front of Yurakucho Station, near Bic Camera. It was opened in Tokyo, inspired by the dining experience at the Oriental Hotel in Kobe, which is the oldest hotel in Japan. The restaurant is open from 9 am, making it very convenient for customers. It is always crowded due to its location in front of the station. On sunny days, the terrace seats are recommended. They also have private rooms, making it suitable for various occasions such as mom gatherings, girls' night out, group dates, and business dinners. This time, I visited as my second stop. Since it's a popular spot, I made a reservation through their website. In the evening, the restaurant has a cozy and open atmosphere with dim lighting. The Oriental ambiance makes you forget that you are right in front of a busy station. We started with a glass of champagne and strawberry Bellini for a toast. The strawberry Bellini is highly recommended, it's delicious! It's easy to drink with plenty of strawberry pulp. We also ordered the following dishes: - Baked shirako (1,800 yen): The hot iron plate baked shirako was rich and chewy, with the garlic and cheese flavors being irresistible. - French fries (truffle & cheese) half (450 yen) - French fries (salt) (500 yen): The French fries here are my favorite, thin, crispy, and irresistible. The truffle & cheese fries are perfect with wine, while the salted ones are refreshing and also recommended. - Cocotte pancake (1,300 yen): This is my top recommendation! The fluffy and light pancake with salted butter melts in your mouth. It's not heavy at all, and you can easily finish it. The combination of buttery saltiness and slightly sweet pancake is fantastic, especially when paired with the vanilla ice cream. The Cocotte pancake can be ordered from 5 pm, but the regular double-stack pancake is also a popular menu item. They also have happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm on weekdays, where some wine bottles are half price. On rainy days, some wine bottles are also half price. On days with the number "6" in them, you can get a glass of Moet Chandon for 660 yen. This restaurant is one of my favorites for its atmosphere, taste, and service. However, if you prefer a quiet and relaxed dining experience, it may not be suitable when it's crowded and bustling.

6th by ORIENTAL HOTEL was supposed to close at the end of September due to the demolition of the building it was located in, but it turns out they have relocated to Azabu-Dai Hills under the name "Balcony by Six" with a new concept. The menu will offer a variety of dishes from different countries with hospitable service. The reviewer was relieved to find out that their favorite pancakes will still be available. They enjoyed a delicious lunch curry and pancakes, resisting the temptation to order more due to the news of the relocation. Overall, they are happy that the restaurant will continue to serve their favorite dishes.

I had been curious about these pancakes for a while. I thought I might have to wait in a long line on the weekends, so I wasn't sure when I could go. But today, on a weekday, I went after my medical check-up on Monday. It was after 3:30 pm, and I was prepared for some waiting, but surprisingly, there was no line at the entrance as shown in the photo. I peeked inside and saw that there were quite a few empty seats. I was able to get in without waiting. Maybe because it was Monday? It was about 80% full inside, so I didn't have to wait and got lucky again. I waited at the counter for about 20 minutes. The pancakes arrived. Pancakes cost 1,500 yen + extra butter 200 yen, and a Darjeeling iced tea for 650 yen, totaling 2,350 yen. It was my first time trying these pancakes. They were indeed fluffy and soft, not too heavy, so I was able to finish them all by myself. They were delicious. Personally, I didn't think the extra butter was necessary. It was tasty but a bit pricey. I felt quite satisfied after eating them once, so I probably won't go back. The restaurant was quite noisy inside. I was okay with it, but a couple nearby was talking very loudly, and their conversation was easy to hear. I felt sorry for eavesdropping. I'm glad I got to try the pancakes before they moved. 6th by ORIENTAL HOTEL will be closing and relocating on October 22nd ☕️ It is scheduled to reopen at Azabudai Hills on November 24th. It used to be a popular spot, especially on Instagram, but it became too crowded so I stopped going. I used to come here a lot during my student days and felt like I was becoming an adult. I love this place. I managed to enter smoothly on a rainy day, but it was still very crowded. With less than a month until closing, I might have to prepare for long lines. This might be my last visit to the current Yurakucho location. I will miss it a little. I love the foreign atmosphere inside and outside the cafe, but personally, I don't think it's suitable for dates or quiet cafe use. It's a one-drink minimum at the cafe, but I enjoyed the pancakes and the famous truffle potatoes during my wild cafe time ✨ The truffle potatoes were as delicious as ever. I wonder if I can still eat them at the new Azabudai location. Looking forward to it! I'm curious to see how Yurakucho Station will change with the demolition of this place. I heard they will be relocating soon, so I hurried over to visit. I ordered the famous Basque cheesecake and coffee. The cheesecake was so soft that it melted when I took a bite with a fork, and the slight bitterness of the Basque cheesecake paired perfectly with the richness of the cheese. It was delicious.

I have been to Six by Oriental many times. The truffle & cheese fried potatoes were disappointing because they were cold. I appreciated sharing two pancakes. A famous shop known for its pancakes and Basque cheesecake. However, their other dishes are also delicious. The tuna cheek salad I had was probably the best salad I've ever eaten. But I always end up ordering either the pancakes or the Basque cheesecake. The pancakes are moist and fluffy, made with meringue, but with a more solid texture than souffle-type pancakes. The batter feels a bit like French toast, so it seems to have a lot of eggs in it. The Basque cheesecake is incredibly creamy and holds its shape surprisingly well when served. You're given a fork, but you could easily eat it with a spoon. And surprisingly, the whipped cream is also delicious. You can add extra toppings to the pancakes, while the Basque cheesecake comes with them already. The whipped cream itself is incredibly tasty. Eating it with the pancakes or Basque cheesecake brings out a whole new level of deliciousness. The vanilla ice cream is also amazing. If you order everything you desire here, you'll be extremely happy. However, the prices are on the higher side, almost like a hotel lunch... The shop will be closing in October and relocating to Azabu, which personally makes it a bit far for me, but it's definitely worth making the effort to visit.

I regret not being able to eat at other restaurants... (crying) It's too late now. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime pancake experience. Bacon Tartar Burger 1800 yen, Pancake 1500 yen, Basque Cheesecake 1100 yen, Heineken 900 yen. The side dish for the hamburger was truffle & cheese french fries. The slight sweetness of the salted butter paired perfectly with the fluffy pancakes... it was amazing. I was moved by the richness of the Basque Cheesecake, and simply enjoyed a blissful time. Finally, after waiting eagerly (90 minutes! It was the last day of a long weekend), the blissful time that began with a cold Heineken ended in just 75 minutes... (^_^;)

I made a reservation for 1:30 PM and was able to enter smoothly, but there was a unexpectedly long line. Inside, it was quite crowded with a high density of people, and very noisy. But the potatoes were sprinkled with truffle salt and cheese, and they were incredibly delicious! I liked them more than any other menu item. Maybe everyone else is here for the pancakes and Basque cheesecake, but for us, it was definitely the potatoes! Of course, the pasta and pancakes were also delicious. But if you're not feeling energetic, I recommend making a reservation.

A few years ago, I had been curious about this restaurant but never had the chance to go. When I found out on social media that it had moved to Azabudai Hills, I decided to go on the first day of the 3-day weekend. As expected, it was popular, and I waited in line for 70 minutes starting around 1:40 PM. The interior of the restaurant was dimly lit, the aisles were narrow, and it was very noisy - there was no sense of luxury. However, the place was filled with well-dressed customers who seemed affluent. I added extra butter topping to my pancake for an additional 200 yen, while my husband added ice cream for 200 yen. We also ordered iced coffee. Honestly, I thought the pancakes would be all about appearance, but they were actually delicious! Though, considering the price, I, being more of a budget-conscious person, felt it was a bit expensive. It was a good experience to try it out.

The lemon sour is strong in alcohol content. The fried potatoes with truffle salt are crispy and the aroma of truffle stimulates the appetite. Today's pasta is tomato pasta, with decent taste for the price. The pancakes we wanted were sold out. The Basque cheesecake is creamy and it is recommended to eat the center part with a spoon. It's so creamy that it disappears before you know it.

Just like the last time I had fish pasta here, I was impressed by how delicious it was. Enchilada: I usually go for tacos or fajitas, so this was a new experience for me, and it was delicious. However, it was spicier than I expected, so if you don't like spicy food, be cautious. The burger that the person next to me was eating looked incredibly delicious, so I'm definitely going to try that next time. 6th Pancake: Finally, the pancakes. It had been a while since I had them, and they were still delicious. Fluffy yet chewy, just the right balance. This time, feeling a bit bold since they are closing, I added the An Butter & Whipped Cream topping. However, the butter was quite salty and flavorful, so I think the topping wasn't necessary. Basque Cheesecake: Undoubtedly delicious, but what you must see is how gooey it is. Once you take a bite, it spreads in your mouth and is incredibly delicious. For parents with kids: Baby strollers are allowed. There were a few strollers at the entrance, so depending on the seating, it might be a bit challenging. With only a few days left before they close, it's better to make a reservation if you're coming with kids. They also have a kids' menu, which looked very appealing. After hearing that they were closing, I finally managed to visit, and just when I got there, they announced that they will be opening at Azabudai Hills in November! I was quite happy to hear that, but also a bit surprised. I even thought about going to inform the people waiting outside. (I was completely satisfied with my reservation, but it seems like the official Instagram and website had already announced it.) It had been a while since I visited 6th by ORIENTAL HOTEL, and no matter how many times I go, it always exceeds my expectations and I love this cafe. I am already looking forward to visiting their new location at Azabudai Hills.

I've been wanting to go there for a long time and managed to go before closing! I went around 3 pm on a weekday and there were about 15 people in line. However, I was able to get inside in about 15 minutes! I ordered the daily pasta, pancakes, and Basque cheesecake. I forgot to take a picture of the pasta, but it was a thick tomato-based pasta and very delicious. The pancakes, which were my main choice, and the Basque cheesecake were also incredibly delicious. The cheesecake had a creamy texture at the tip and a cake-like texture on the other side, allowing you to enjoy two different flavors! It seemed like you could also add toppings to the pancakes for an additional charge!

I always wanted to try going to this shop, but I always passed by because there was always a huge line even before opening and during cafe time (lol). However, I managed to make a reservation for a late lunch on a day when I had time to go, as they will soon be relocating from this location. Even though there was a long line on this day as well, I felt a sense of superiority when I was immediately seated after giving my name at the reception. The inside of the shop was packed like a theme park restaurant. I ordered the 2900 yen course (with sashimi carpaccio, chicken, and coffee) and added a 1100 yen Basque cheesecake for dessert (all prices tax included). The Basque cheesecake was delicious, but I felt a bit uncomfortable dining alone amidst the hustle and bustle, so I left when the bill came after about an hour (many tables were also being rushed to leave by a certain time)… It made me nostalgic for the shop in Kobe's old foreign settlement area.

It had been a while since my last visit, so I went before the opening at 11 am, but there was already a long line. I ordered the Holiday lunch course, with a fresh fish carpaccio for the appetizer, swordfish and okra lemon pepperoncino pasta, and spicy diavolo chicken for the main dish. For dessert, I tried the classic cheesecake and was impressed by the Oriental cheesecake. I also couldn't resist ordering the popular truffle fried potatoes. Everything was delicious, and I left feeling very satisfied. I'd like to try the pancakes next time.

The interior of the shop is dimly lit and has a good atmosphere, but it is quite lively and easy to talk in. If you only listen to the sound, you would think it's an izakaya. If there is no reservation, there is a 15-20 minute wait due to many reservation holders. The Basque Cheesecake was very delicious with a creamy interior. It is cheaper to buy a whole one, so I would like to go buy it someday. I wanted to try the pancakes, but they are only available until 5:00 PM, so I will have to come back for them another time. Overall review: Depending on how you use it, the liveliness of the shop may not match the brightness of the interior. Depending on the usage, it could be a good shop. The Basque Cheesecake was delicious, and the terrine was also tasty, so it might be nice to visit during lunch or snack time.

When waiting in line, line up along the flower bed on the right side of the sign before going up the stairs at the entrance. However, on this day, maybe due to the rain, we were seated quickly without waiting in line. As it was my second visit, I ordered truffle-flavored potatoes, Basque cheesecake, and tiramisu. The pancakes are also famous, but unfortunately, they are only available until 5:30 pm. The Basque cheesecake was creamy and delicious, so I recommend it. The potatoes were thin and crispy, with a great texture. They are perfect as a snack with drinks. The drinks menu includes sangria and sparkling wine cocktails, giving off a trendy and intriguing vibe. This place is suitable for dates, girls' nights out, and various occasions. I didn't know this, but they will be relocating in just over a month. It's a shame because this place in Yurakucho is so memorable, but it'll be exciting to see what it's like after the move. Going back to Yurakucho, the seating is not spacious, and as you can see from the photos, the lighting is dim. The atmosphere is nice, but the small space means everyone's conversations can be heard, so if you're particularly concerned about this post-COVID, please be cautious. The staff are all very friendly, and the cafe has a stylish and chic vibe, reminiscent of cafes or diners overseas. With limited time left to visit Yurakucho, if you're interested, I recommend going soon. ◾️Personal attention point: Restrooms are separate for men and women, with multiple private stalls. 6th PANCAKE is an all-day dining restaurant with a charming foreign atmosphere associated with Japan's oldest hotel, Kobe ORIENTAL HOTEL. It is famous for its luxurious down comforters. The pancakes are made with homemade fluffy batter, topped with melted sweet and salty whipped butter, and fragrant maple syrup, creating a perfect combination. The truffle potatoes are also delicious, and when eaten with the pancakes, the sweet and salty flavors create an endless loop of deliciousness.

I went to this restaurant before it relocates to Azabu! The pancakes were fluffy and jiggly, so delicious! I also ordered the Basque cheesecake and truffle & cheese fried potatoes, which were also popular. All three dishes were delicious! It's no wonder there's always a line, the food is so good!

The pancakes were as rumored. The macadamia nut sauce was unnecessary, the pancakes themselves were simply delicious. The texture and sweetness of the pancakes were just right. Butter alone was the perfect choice. I finished them in no time, I should have savored them a bit more. (Regretful)
