This time, we came to Bali Hai for the 10th anniversary live performance of M, whom we had previously met. Both of us arrived at the venue early, more than 30 minutes before the opening, and managed to meet up successfully. However, the yakitori was already down to the last 3 skewers, so we hurried to grab them before they ran out. It felt like a race to grab the remaining appetizers as more people arrived later. The remaining dishes were uncertain to be replenished, so we hesitated to take more. M whispered to us that more dishes would be added later, so we felt relieved and went back to get some more leftovers. The food was set up buffet-style with a limited quantity, and as mentioned earlier, the popular items like yakitori and sushi rolls disappeared quickly, leaving kappa maki and kanpyo maki behind. Before the live performance started, we went to get food several times, including yakitori, pilaf, yakisoba, shrimp chili, mapo tofu, and sushi rolls. The yakitori was surprisingly large and tasted decent even though it was cold. The pilaf was a bit dry with average taste. The shrimp chili had fairly large shrimp with normal seasoning. The mapo tofu had a Chinese-style spicy flavor and was tasty, but being cold affected its original deliciousness. The sushi rolls were still delicious even when cold, with salted sea urchin being particularly good. There was also tuna, which tasted average. The pickles were lightly salted and easy to eat. The alcohol selection was decent, starting with beer, followed by gin and tonic, Moscow mule, and red wine. The beer was quite tasty, while the wine was slightly bitter. The live performance was divided into two parts, and after the first part, new dishes like zangi and pizza were served. M, a professional singer affiliated with a certain agency, showcased a nostalgic repertoire of songs with a charming smile. We also got to hear two of their original songs. The zangi had some issues with the batter texture but the meat was tender and decent. The pizza was cold but had good seasoning. The inari sushi was as expected. The disposable plates were all plastic, which felt a bit dull, but the drink glasses were glass, with beer served in a mug and wine in a wine glass, which was nice. To end the night, we had pineapple juice, which seemed to be 100% juice. Families with young children and elementary school students were also present, and surprisingly, the smoking rate was low, probably due to the large hall space that didn't make the tobacco smoke bothersome. ☆☆☆Next Episode Preview☆☆☆ I would like to come again if there is another opportunity.
