It seems like a restaurant that serves seasonal dishes. I would like to come back in winter as well. The grilled bamboo shoots with sansho pepper were very delicious. I tried the hot pot with burdock leaves, but it didn't have a strong flavor... It was a strange feeling to have the aroma of burdock leaves but it was very tasty. I think it would be great for those who drink alcohol. For non-drinkers, it might be good to order rice dishes first and use them as side dishes. It was a bit rich (which I personally welcomed).

My friends from Kyoto took me to this place near the botanical garden bus stop. We started with the usual four dishes: sautéed komatsuna and fried tofu, red konjac and goboten, sautéed seigoin kabura, and yellowtail daikon hassun platter. Then we ordered a la carte dishes. The drinks selection was quite good too. The rice is cooked in a clay pot, so it's best to order it early.

The dishes include crab miso soup, simmered octopus, white fish roe with ponzu sauce, deep-fried white shrimp, and finally, mackerel and ginger rice cooked in a clay pot. The ingredients are of high quality and the seasoning is well-balanced, making it easy to eat with chopsticks. The chopsticks are long. They also pay attention to the dishes they are served in. The interior and courtyard are stylish. They mainly offer sake from all over Japan, and only one type of red and white wine. The restaurant has only about 10 counter seats. The meal starts with one soup and three dishes, and then you can choose your favorite menu. The dishes are made with seasonal Kyoto ingredients. The chef handles the cooking alone, so the service may not be fast, but you can see each dish being carefully prepared in front of you, which is nice. Above all, the cost performance is too good. It's better to make a reservation.

I made a last-minute reservation and had a great time in a private room. The grilled eel was amazing! It was fluffy and had a nice kick of sansho pepper, truly delicious. I found my favorite restaurant in Kyoto!
