On 6/28 (Wed), I made a reservation for seats only and visited with 2 people. It is located about a 1-minute walk from Hankyu Saiin Station. It is on the B1F of the Rino Hotel Kyoto. We had a reservation for 11:30, and when we entered, there were few customers, but around 12 o'clock, more and more customers started coming in. You can enter without a reservation, but if you want to eat without waiting, it is safer to make a reservation in advance. We were guided to a table seat, but there are also private rooms, banquet rooms, and counter seats. The table is wide and has a luxurious feel. The spacing between seats is wide, ensuring personal space and allowing you to relax. I used the restroom and was surprised that the automatic door opened and closed without touching it. We ordered the Special Roast Lunch. The Special Roast Lunch costs 2,310 yen (tax included). The Special Roast consists of 3 pieces of high-quality roast beef, rice (free refills), soup, salad, and 3 small side dishes. I was tempted to try the cold noodles and stone pot bibimbap, but since I came to a yakiniku restaurant, I decided to have the Special Roast Lunch. Special Roast Lunch: The meat is lightly grilled on a hot plate after being marinated in a sweet sauce. The large slices are luxurious and delicious. The meat is dipped in "wash sauce" before eating. It seems to be a unique way of eating in Kyoto. The excess oil from the meat is rinsed off, leaving it refreshing. It is delicious whether dipped in "wash sauce" or eaten as is. Rice (free refills): The rice is cooked firm. I would have had a refill if I didn't plan to eat cake at a cafe later. The soup, salad, and 3 small side dishes are included, so one bowl of rice is not enough. Soup: Wakame seaweed soup. It has a Chinese-style taste, refreshing and perfect for cleansing the palate. Salad: A salad with lettuce, onions, red peppers, and paprika. It is more generous than expected. 3 small side dishes: Kimchi (Chinese cabbage, cucumber, kakuteki), Namul (bean sprouts, greens, dried radish), and simmered dish. Consistently delicious. I visit Kyoto often, so I would like to revisit when I pass by. I would like to try the cold noodles and stone pot bibimbap next time. The Special Roast Lunch was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The sauce may be sweet, but it's incredibly delicious, and despite trying various yakiniku restaurants, my favorite is still Tendan. The store is spacious, clean, odorless, elegant, child-friendly, with wide and clean restrooms - everything is just right. This time, I tried the thick-cut tongue, and it was delicious!

Beef tongue & harami lunch starting from 1980 yen - Situation - I arrived at around 12:35 on Saturday. Waited for about 10 minutes before entering. The food arrived 5-10 minutes after ordering - Couple points - Shareable. It's a slightly luxurious lunch, but is it suitable for a date? - Taste etc - The beef tongue came with 4 slices and was delicious, but the special selected kalbi lunch that my wife had was amazingly tasty!! For the price, the quality is definitely worth revisiting. The side dishes other than the meat were also satisfyingly delicious. The kimchi was a bit too spicy. - Other points of concern - Accepts electronic money (including Rakuten Pay) and credit cards. Clean restroom.

There are few places in Nishin where you can have yakiniku for lunch, and the only one I can think of is this one. I ordered the harami lunch set and also got the tan shio (tongue salt) on the side. The standard sauce at Tendan for yakiniku is the watery sauce, but I prefer to eat it with the thicker regular sauce. The Nishin branch has a more casual atmosphere compared to the other branches in Katsura and Gion, making it easier to walk in.

Tonight, I had yakiniku in Kyoto for the first time in a while at Tendan in Nishikyo. The ambiance from the moment you walk in is lovely with the indirect lighting. I heard that if you propose here, you have a 100% success rate!... I don't know for sure though (laughs). The staff are all beautiful and handsome, with wonderful smiles. The special feature of this yakiniku is the sauce! Even though the meat is already marinated, dipping it in their secret sauce after grilling helps to remove excess oil and elevates the delicious meat to another level (laughs). It's true that you can see the oil melting away when you dip the meat. This sauce is refreshing but still has a rich flavor, making it truly elegant Kyoto-style yakiniku. While indulging in a hearty meal is also satisfying, I think if you do that here, you might worry about your wallet (laughs). Thank you for the meal♪ I'll definitely come back when I want to spend another elegant time♪

Yakiniku Tendan ~ ♩ If you're from Kansai, you probably know the tune. Embarrassingly, it was my first visit to Tendan. And I went to the cool one in Nishiiin. Overall, it's a good restaurant if you don't consider the cost performance. The taste is okay, with decent quality meat that tastes good. It's similar to places like Yakiniku Hiro in Kyoto. The atmosphere was better than I expected, with high ceilings and a gorgeous interior. No complaints there. But if you spend money like water, you can get even better yakiniku. I know cheaper and tastier yakiniku places in Osaka, so this place gets an honorable mention. Nishiiin is known for its standing bars and cheap eats, but it's nice to see such a fancy restaurant here. It gave me a new perspective.

Located in the basement of the Lino Hotel, this restaurant is conveniently close to the Saiin Station. It is luxurious and beautiful, perfect for a meal with two girls in a private room. The barbecue sauce is clear and beautiful, which is a feature of this restaurant. - Putechige: Around 750 yen, it is spicy and warms you up nicely. - Tendan Roast Sirloin: 1100 yen, a beautiful sirloin that is easy to eat. - Harami: 900 yen, easy to eat without any strong flavors, goes well with the sauce. - Upper Mino: 900 yen, not too tough with a great texture. - Chorogi Salad: 530 yen, you can eat as much as you want. - Kimchi Assortment: 700 yen, three types of elegant Kyoto-style kimchi. We spent around 6000 yen for two people, which is around 3000 yen per person, but the quality of the meat was excellent. They also offer great deals for takeout barbecue.

I went to Ten-dan, a long-established yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto, which recently opened in Saiin. Established in 1965, this Kyoto-based yakiniku restaurant is famous for originating the concept of washing the meat with sauce. In the summer, they also offer BBQ at their other locations for a limited time, which is enjoyable. The meat is delicious when washed with the sauce, and the restaurant is clean and stylish, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. I recommend trying the Ten-dan meat series, as all of them were delicious without any flaws. While the salt was a bit lacking, the sauce-marinated meat was so tasty that I left fully satisfied!

I visited for the first time in a while as I heard that they are open for business. The interior was as beautiful and clean as ever, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the usual items: heavenly loin (sirloin), tongue, salted kimchi, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), liver, and heavenly stew. Everything was delicious as always, and I was very satisfied. The heavenly stew seemed to have less volume because it didn't contain root vegetables. I wonder if this is only temporary? I will definitely visit again.

On Christmas Eve, we went to a yakiniku restaurant for the second time since its renovation. We were seated at a counter table facing a glass window, which was a bit cramped for two people. Although my husband was a bit unhappy because we had made a reservation and there were plenty of empty tables, I found the counter seating to be quite comfortable. I ordered the special 30th anniversary assortment, which included yukhoe, namul, and rice since I like raw meat. The assortment had high-quality meats, although the portion was not very large, it was enough to make me feel full. My husband, who loves horumon, ordered teppanyaki and mino. The teppanyaki was thin, which he likes, and the mino was thicker, which I prefer. Overall, we had a satisfying meal. The only downside was the affiliated parking lot at the Reno Hotel, which we found inconvenient. We ended up parking at a different lot because the Reno Hotel parking was too crowded and not very cheap. I wish the restaurant had affiliations with other parking lots as well.

I found out about this restaurant on a TV show and wanted to visit the main store, but due to time constraints, I went to the Nishiiin branch for lunch instead. When I entered the restaurant and went down the stairs, I was greeted by a wide reception area and waiting room, and the staff kindly showed me to my seat with a smile. The restaurant had large windows facing the garden, creating a natural brightness that didn't feel like a basement at all. The seats were spacious and very comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal even for lunch. I ordered the pork loin lunch set. The sauce here was different from the one I had in Tokyo, and I loved it so much! It was so delicious that I ended up ordering more meat because three pieces were not enough. By the way, the pork loin served for lunch is actually the ribeye from the regular menu. It is slightly cheaper than the sirloin but incredibly delicious. The lunch set came with a salad bar, but personally, I found the selection to be a bit lacking, so skipping the salad bar and just enjoying the meat might be a good idea. Next time, I want to come back for dinner and enjoy some beer and meat.

This is a repeat visit to the Tendan Nishiin branch (*^^*) I went to have lunch with three friends! We had a luxurious lunch of yakiniku from noon onwardsԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ) but the price is reasonable!! It's really convenient to have it near Hankyu Kyoto Line Nishiin Station West Exit! (I tend to get lost...) The luxurious interior of the restaurant♡ We were guided to a table seat where we could see the garden on the first floor. It has a calming atmosphere with bamboo growing. The lunch menu comes with a buffet♡ ▶ Tendan loin lunch ¥1,944 Since it was a popular menu, Sakura-chan and I ordered this one (*^^*) ▶ Misuji lunch ¥2,160 Razzie-chan ordered this one!! Both dishes came with delicious-looking meat served on a large plate. With the buffet, you can help yourself to rice, wakame soup, and more. I was surprised! There were so many options Σ(゚ω゚ノ)ノ Salad, kimchi, namul, chijimi (2 types), cold chapchae, wakame soup, rice, beef tendon stew, mini cake, pudding, warabi mochi, fruit punch Just the buffet alone filled us up!! Especially the "beef tendon stew" was exquisite♡ The daikon and beef tendon were both very tender and flavorful, making it easy to eat with rice!! I could eat multiple bowls of rice with the beef tendon stew and kimchi( ´艸`) And then the main meat dish!! We grilled the loin slightly pink and dipped it in Tendan's original beef bone soup stock♡ It was so tender~!! It had a different kind of deliciousness and fun compared to the hearty dishes at night (*^^*) We went to get the buffet and happily enjoyed it together\(//Д//)/ Of course, we toasted with beer!! When visiting with friends, we decided to try lunch at this place we had visited before. The Tian Tan Xi Yuan branch is very stylish and elegant, making it perfect for a leisurely lunchtime. Despite it being lunchtime, the three of us enjoyed a lunchtime drinking session. We ordered the Tian Tan loin lunch set, while my friends chose the misji lunch set. The lunch sets are very affordable and come with a Korean buffet, which is a great deal. The buffet has a wide variety of dishes, all freshly made and delicious. The kimchi and beef tendon stew were particularly tasty. The beef tendon stew was so tender and delicious, it could make you want to drink beer all day. There was also salad, japchae, chijimi, rice, soup, and dessert, all of which were delightful. The loin was tender, juicy, and very tasty. We ended the meal with a hot coffee, which we paid extra for because it seemed like the perfect dessert companion. We ate until we were full and satisfied. The spacious seating allowed us to enjoy a leisurely and elegant lunch. I definitely want to go back again!

I heard that you can enjoy delicious yakiniku in a stylish space, so I went to Kyoto for a casual lunch. It's located right near Saiin Station. As I approached the restaurant, a luxurious atmosphere greeted me. I wondered if it would be expensive, but when I looked at the menu, I was relieved to see that the lunch prices were quite reasonable. It was a weekday lunchtime, but there were several groups of people waiting, so it seemed like a popular spot. Inside the restaurant, there was even a wine cellar, creating an atmosphere that didn't feel like a typical yakiniku place. We were seated by the window, overlooking the garden, for a sophisticated lunch experience. On this day, I had the Misuji lunch for 2160 yen. My friend ordered the most popular Tendan Rosu lunch for 1944 yen. And of course, when it comes to yakiniku, you have to have beer. Before our drinks arrived, we indulged in the Korean buffet that came with the lunch. It included vegetables, kimchi, chijimi, chapche, seaweed soup, and even simmered beef tendons! The beef tendons were so tender and delicious! Even though I was already satisfied with the buffet, the main meat dish was yet to come. After a while, marinated meat arrived at our table. We grilled the meat on the charcoal grill, then dipped it in the secret sauce. The sweet and flavorful sauce coated the meat perfectly. The homemade golden sauce for dipping was also delicious! It was light and refreshing, allowing us to enjoy both flavors. The portion of meat was a bit small with only 3 pieces, but the taste was excellent! I could have eaten more and more rice. With a variety of options in the buffet, I left feeling full and satisfied. There were also desserts like fruits, petit cakes, pudding, and warabi mochi in the buffet. I ended my meal with coffee and dessert. It was a truly satisfying dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

We visited this restaurant for a girls' gathering after its renewal, and it was very beautiful. The location of the restaurant is on the south side of the station, but it is more convenient to use the west exit of Nishin station, not the south exit. The entrance looks luxurious, and there are private rooms lined up inside with Kyoto-themed names. We were guided to a room called "Kinkaku" that can accommodate about 10 people, which had a view of a courtyard and a chandelier, creating a nice atmosphere. The lunch menu includes a Korean buffet. I chose the Kalbi lunch and my friend chose the Pork lunch to share. The buffet includes salads, soups, pancakes, desserts, kimchi, etc. The quality of the meat was surprisingly good, and the sauce had a unique taste. The only downside was that the aprons were not provided until we asked for them. Overall, considering the Korean buffet all-you-can-eat option for less than 2,000 yen including tax, it was a good value for a stylish and elegant BBQ lunch. I would definitely consider coming back when I have the chance to visit Nishin again. Thank you for the meal.

[Tenpaku] Today is a girls' gathering at Tenpaku Saiin store! The venue is located in the basement of the Rino Hotel, just a short walk from Hankyu Saiin Station. It seems that it was recently renovated. There are private rooms available for large groups, perfect for gatherings like this, in a gorgeous space with a view of the garden. Having a luxurious barbecue lunch in the middle of the day is quite extravagant... ● Kalbi lunch 1,944 yen There are several lunch options, mainly focused on barbecue dishes and others with main dishes like cold noodles, all including a Korean buffet. Since we're here, let's go for barbecue! All participants chose the barbecue lunch. We ordered a mix of sirloin, kalbi, and horumon. While waiting for the meat to arrive, we headed to the buffet. There's a variety of namul, kimchi, and other dishes available, making it quite lavish. There are also soup, rice, and dessert options, so you can customize your lunch to your liking. The two types of chijimi were a bit cold, but apparently, if you reheat them on the grill, they taste delicious! Reheating them really makes a difference. Finally, the meat arrived. Tenpaku's barbecue is characterized by a light, savory sauce for dipping. Despite barbecue dishes often being heavy, the broth in this sauce makes it light and elegant. The kalbi I ordered was delicious, but the sirloin I shared was exceptionally tasty! The fat melted softly, spreading its umami flavor gently. While the kalbi was a sufficient portion for one person, the sirloin was limited to three pieces. I'm not sure about the volume, but the taste was exceptional. Coffee after the meal is an additional charge, so we didn't have any this time, but there are also desserts like bite-sized cakes available. Thank you for the meal.

Recently renewed and reopened this restaurant. The interior has a luxurious feel with little smoke. This time, I had the Tenmandaro lunch. Each lunch comes with a Korean buffet including kimchi, namul, salad, jeon, rice, soup, and dessert all-you-can-eat. The kimchi was delicious so I ended up eating a lot. The Tenmandaro had just the right amount of marbling and was juicy! It came with three large slices of meat. The person I was with had the horumon which allowed them to enjoy various cuts, and they also said it was delicious. Each lunch is a bit on the pricey side, around 2000 yen, but you can also enjoy a private room and take your time, making it a good option for occasional lunches with friends or colleagues. This time, I made a reservation for a private room, as there are many private rooms available at the restaurant. We started with a toast with beer. The glasses are also beautiful and exquisite. - Super Dry 630 yen - Assorted Kimchi 756 yen The kimchi has a good texture and spiciness that goes well with beer. You can also buy kimchi to take home. Visited in May 2019 with a rating of 3.11 on Tabelog (20 reviews). I wanted to go to a yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto called "Tendan Saiin" which had reopened after a grand renewal. I invited my foodie friends and made a reservation for the 8,000 yen course with all-you-can-drink option. The restaurant is located on the B1F of the Rino Hotel Kyoto and has a luxurious and spacious interior. The course included various dishes like kimchi, namul, salad, salted tongue, premium loin, thick-cut shoulder loin, upper ribs, upper tripe, and tetchan. The salad was refreshing, the namul was a nice side dish, and the kimchi went well with beer. The salted tongue was flavorful and the meat quality was top-notch. The yakiniku cooked in broth was a highlight, and the various cuts of meat were delicious. We also ordered the cold noodles made with homemade buckwheat noodles, which had a strong texture and a nice acidity in the soup. Overall, it was a great dining experience with a good selection of drinks. I would like to try their lunch menu next time.
