She had a problem. A small, but urgent problem. A pressing issue about food with her boyfriend. Her darling loved Indian curry, but she preferred Thai cuisine. The two of them went on a date in Kichijoji. At lunchtime, holding hands, they walked to the Amrita restaurant she had wanted to visit. Reluctantly, he agreed. They approached the restaurant, only to be met with a long line. He pointed at the queue and complained. The girl, visibly upset, gave in and suggested they go to an Indian restaurant instead. He immediately ordered for both of them without considering her preference. As the evening approached, they found themselves hungry again. He insisted on going to a curry restaurant in Ogikubo, causing her to feel neglected. She realized that their constant arguments about food had taken a toll on their relationship. Feeling alone and abandoned, she ran off in tears. An hour later, she sat alone in a cafe near the station, contemplating their breakup. Just then, her phone rang. It was him, apologizing and asking to meet at Inokashira Park. There, he handed her a bag of takeout from the Thai restaurant, showing a rare act of kindness. As they sat by the pond, she couldn't help but cry at this unexpected gesture. It was a turning point in their relationship, as they both realized the importance of considering each other's feelings. In the nostalgic setting of the park at night, they shared a moment of understanding and reconciliation.

I was taken to Amrita Shokudo after visiting Mt. Takao with the restaurant support team. This Thai restaurant has a unique menu compared to other typical Thai restaurants. The recommended dishes are all delicious, but my personal favorite might be the soup-less mixed noodles. We ordered the fragrant grilled dish combo, Pad Thai, street-style soup-less Thai mixed noodles, and a self-mixed fried egg salad, all of which were very tasty. This restaurant offers unique Thai dishes that you can't find elsewhere, so I highly recommend it. Each dish has its own unique appeal, so I suggest trying them out for yourself. #KichijojiGourmet #KichijojiCafe #ThaiCuisine #AmritaShokudo #FragrantGrilledCombo #PadThai #StreetStyleSouplessNoodles #SelfMixedFriedEggSalad #DefinitelyGoingBack

I visited Amrita Shokudo in Kichijoji during the Silver Week holiday period. The restaurant was quite busy, with most seats taken. The menu had been updated recently, and I was a bit flustered trying to decide what to order. I ended up choosing the Thai Street Food set meal, which allowed me to pick 3 main dishes to go with rice, salad, and soup. The flavors were mild, suitable for Japanese tastes. I found the lack of herbs a bit disappointing. The salad was delicious, especially with the red dressing. Overall, the meal was filling but a bit pricey. I also noticed that the popular dessert, Kluay Ping, was not available during lunchtime. Next time, I'll make sure to ask for it. Thank you for the meal.

Having dinner out with my daughter in Kichijoji. My husband was working late, so we decided to enjoy dinner outside instead of having our usual home-cooked yakiniku. When I asked my daughter where she wanted to eat, she suggested Amrita for Thai food. We had ordered delivery from there a few times before. I've been to Amrita for lunch and dinner a few times myself, and it's a popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji. The food is cooked by Thai chefs, and it's a kid-friendly place. Since it was an early dinner, the restaurant was relatively empty. My daughter quickly ordered using the touch panel, she's so used to it. I had the seafood pho for 1280 yen, and my daughter had the pork and basil stir-fry rice for 1380 yen, along with the mackerel fresh spring rolls for 450 yen. My pho was refreshing and the broth was delicious, with shrimp, squid, and seafood meatballs in it. My daughter's basil stir-fry rice looked delicious too. I didn't try the spring rolls, but the homemade dipping sauce looked tasty. There were things I wanted to ask my daughter, but I ended up talking a lot about my own things, and she listened attentively. She's good at listening, and it feels like she's living on her own just fine. I look forward to her coming back home every month.

The lunch plate had an authentic taste and was delicious, and the seasonal dessert was also delicious! The restaurant was spacious and there were many families with children, so I thought it would be nice to bring my baby next time. I couldn't imagine what the dessert would be like from the picture on the touch panel, so I asked what kind of parfait it was and once I tried it, it was incredibly delicious!

I visited the most popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji for the first time. I had the lunch set menu, where you can choose three side dishes from a selection of six, and they serve it on a rice plate. Salad and soup are all-you-can-eat. Today's six options were: Pork offal yam, slightly spicy; Red curry with a hint of coconut milk, medium spicy; Eggplant and chicken green curry, medium spicy; Chicken and Chinese broccoli stir-fry, slightly spicy; Bitter melon with scrambled eggs; Pork and holy basil stir-fry, medium spicy. I chose the Pork offal yam, Eggplant and chicken green curry, and Pork and holy basil stir-fry. It was fun to be able to choose from a variety of dishes. It felt like a good deal to be able to enjoy two Thai cuisine classics like Gapa and green curry at once. The generous lunch plate got me excited. All the dishes were spicier than they looked, and I ended up drinking three glasses of water. I was able to experience the ethnic feel unique to Thai cuisine. The drink menu had some unique options, but I was disappointed that there were no simple choices like jasmine tea or regular tea. I was in the mood for som tum, so I regretted not being able to have it for lunch, but I look forward to trying it for dinner next time.

It was Saturday lunch, so I made a reservation for the opening time and went there. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a long line... but I had a reservation! I tried to enter the restaurant, but they told me even reservations have to wait outside. It was scorching hot outside, so I really wished they would stick to the opening time. However, the restaurant was lovely and the atmosphere and taste were very satisfying! It's a place that suits anyone, whether you go alone, with friends, as a couple, or with family. I will definitely go back!

Today, I visited with a strong determination to definitely eat Thai food. The place was bustling with young people and had a lively atmosphere. There was also a counter, so even solo diners can feel comfortable. The recommended Tom Yum Goong had large prawns packed with flavor. It was quite spicy, but delicious.

This time, my daughter took me to a restaurant called "Amrita Shokudo." "Amrita" is a mythical drink from Hindu mythology, a precious elixir that has been brewing for thousands of years, believed to bring eternal youth and immortality. The name seems to be filled with the desire to energize everyone. Before coming here, we challenged a real escape game, so my head is spinning tired. I'll get some energy by eating at "Amrita Shokudo"! By the way, the real escape game was interesting. There were various courses prepared with different themes. Our family had no time limit, so we could take our time and challenge "One Punch Man." We are from Ibaraki Prefecture, but we needed the power of "Saitama"~ It was just right in terms of difficulty, as it was a level that required us to think hard without hints to solve the puzzle. Now, back to "Amrita Shokudo," it's a very popular Thai restaurant around here. You can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine here. Here's what we ordered: - Thai-style red shrimp sashimi - Self-mixed fried egg salad - Japan's richest Tom Yum Goong - Street stall rice soup noodles - Stir-fried pork and basil on rice - Mango soy milk - Banana cheesecake Everything was so delicious ^o^ As expected, the basil stir-fry was delicious. Also, the street stall noodles had thick vermicelli with a light salt-flavored soup that was delicious. The Tom Yum Goong was a delicious one with plenty of spices, but the shrimp was rich in flavor too. This is what authentic food is like, right? Also, I tried the banana cheesecake, which was unusual, but it was delicious. It had a moderate banana aroma and was gone in no time ♫

I visited on a Sunday afternoon. There was a wait for 3 groups. Many families with children were there. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious, with comfortable seating. There were 5 staff members in the open kitchen, who seemed to be foreigners, working efficiently. I ordered the Gapaow and the Tom Yum Ramen, which many people were eating. I couldn't take a photo of the Tom Yum Ramen because I ate it. Both dishes were initially sweet and tasty, but I found the sweetness a bit overpowering. I wonder if this is the authentic taste. The service was generally good, and the staff were friendly.

The prices are quite high, but the taste is good. There is also a terrace and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice. When I went to Vietnam or Thailand in the past, I could drink beer for about 100 yen, and I felt that 800 yen for a Singha was too expensive. But now, I wonder if it costs this much even in the local area.

This was the restaurant I was most curious about in Kichijoji. I went there for lunch and ordered Thai ramen and Thai milk tea. The Thai milk tea was a self-serve style where you could add milk yourself. I was happy to be able to drink Thai milk tea at a Thai restaurant, as it is not always available. The Thai ramen had several condiments available, so you could adjust the seasoning to your liking. It arrived quickly and the place was quite busy even during weekday lunch hours.

Popular restaurant in Kichijoji. The open kitchen where foreign women are actively working is impressive. I visited on a Saturday night, so I gave up on the seasonal dishes of mackerel spring rolls and red shrimp sashimi, which were listed as limited to weekday nights on the website, but they were actually available. I'm glad I could try them. The peanut and ginger pork salad was spicier than I expected. The green curry went well with the black rice jasmine rice. It was a shame that the first beer was lukewarm.

Before the coronavirus, I used to come here often, and today I visited for the first time in 3 years. The interior of the restaurant has been changed and looks more organized. The menu has also changed a lot. I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting the previous menu. The variety of dishes has decreased significantly, and the lunch felt a bit empty. Previously, the lunch always came with a salad bar and a soup bar, but now it was separate for an additional 350 yen. The only lunch set available besides individual dishes is a set where you can choose 3 dishes for 1,450 yen including tax. Today, I chose green curry, gapao, and stir-fried vegetables as my 3 dishes. A small vegetable salad was served as a side dish. The chef, who is Thai, served the rice in the middle, but it felt like just a taste test. Especially the green curry, please look at the photo. The curry sauce is just a little bit, so it feels like just a little bit. The taste is delicious, but the way it was served made it less enjoyable. I regret not ordering individual dishes while eating. Before, even if you ordered individual dishes, the salad bar and soup bar were included, but now they are not. It's kind of disappointing.

On my day off, I always go to a popular Thai restaurant with long lines. When I went on Sunday at 12 o'clock, there were surprisingly only 3 groups waiting and we were seated quickly. The spacious interior had a great atmosphere, and the outdoor terrace seating was lovely. From our counter seats, we could see the lively kitchen. The prices were a bit high, but the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and provided attentive service. I would like to try their lunch set on a weekday next time. By the time we left, there was a long line, so I recommend going early.

The place has been renovated. The interior looks neat and clean now. I preferred the old menu with more variety. The menu has been reduced, the portion sizes are smaller, and there are too many staff members (9 in the dining area). The prices seem a bit high for the portion sizes.

While taking a stroll in Kichijoji, I came across a newly opened restaurant and decided to go in. Lately, I've been obsessed with green curry, so I ordered curry and Tom Yum ramen. The dishes were a nice blend of Thai flavors with a touch of Japanese taste, making it easy for Japanese people to enjoy. The Tom Yum ramen had a strong and stimulating sour and spicy flavor. The green curry was delicious. I know just saying "delicious" doesn't provide much insight, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was great and clean. I highly recommend checking it out!

The spicy curry with plenty of chicken and eggplant was delicious. It's a bit difficult to order various dishes when dining alone. It seems like it would be more fun to come with a few people. Orders are placed using a tablet. There are many foreign customers, so it would be easier to order if there were descriptions in addition to the photos. After the orders are ready, they bring a paper receipt, but I decided not to order dessert even though I wanted to. I thought it was a waste of opportunity.

On Saturday for lunch, the reserved seats were fully booked and there was a line of about 15 people even before the opening. I had the pork and basil stir-fried rice and the chicken and eggplant green curry. The basil stir-fried rice was a popular menu item featured in a TV commercial for Demae-can, and the seasoning was delicious. The prices were slightly on the high side. I wished they had the menu available outside the restaurant so that we could decide what to order while waiting in line. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered Tom Yum ramen and stir-fried squid with salted eggs for lunch. I also received a non-alcoholic beer. The Tom Yum ramen was quite spicy, almost too spicy for me! I managed to handle it with the help of the beer. The stir-fried squid was delicious. We also ordered other dishes, and overall, the food at this restaurant was on the spicier side but still tasty!

Around 12 o'clock on the last day of the GW holiday. When I called for a reservation that day, I was told that all reserved seats were full, so I was advised to just come in normally. Luckily, there was a reserved seat available for just one hour, so I was able to be seated there without waiting. Since I couldn't finish my meal in one hour, I moved to a different seat halfway through. The staff were polite and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. The Tom Yum Kung was delicious with a spicy kick. The coriander salad and water spinach were also addictive. Amrita Shokudo has always been known for Thai cuisine in Kichijoji.
