I made a reservation through the hotel's website for the Ladies Plan, which included a Twin Room for 7300 yen with a cute drawstring bag. Since it had just opened this year and there were few reviews, I didn't have high expectations for the hotel itself, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was a very nice hotel with a spacious entrance featuring soft lighting and colorful kimono and obi patterned cushions on the sofas. The walls were decorated with paintings of musical notes, and throughout the hotel, there were designs of musical staffs and notes, fitting the name "Bach," which also means "stream" in German, like Takase River. The room was quite small, but it had a small table, a kettle, and lovely teacups. The toilet and shower room were separated by glass walls, providing a spacious feel. The TV offered a service where you could watch free videos from over ten years ago. The large communal bath was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, face soap, lotion, etc., and there was a coin laundry nearby. Every day from 4 pm, you could enjoy complimentary coffee and tea in the restaurant, and from 9 pm, they also served free ochazuke, which was delicious with a variety of pickles. The breakfast was as advertised - delicious, beautiful, and plentiful. I chose the Japanese option, and there was a buffet with vegetable salad, bread, and fruit. The restaurant was bright and clean, and overall, the hotel was very cozy and staff were friendly. I hope they offer slightly cheaper plans for singles in the future, especially during the off-peak season. It might be better to emphasize on the website that it's not a street-level store but located one street off Shijo Street. Because it's a small hotel, I have a feeling it will become popular and difficult to book in the future. I don't want to promote it too much, but I couldn't help but praise it because it became my favorite.
