At times like this, why not order delivery sushi? It was my first time trying delivery sushi and I was a bit nervous because I didn't know what to expect. But when I saw the flyer with the "Kani (crab) Special" offer, I couldn't resist and immediately placed an order. The "Kani Special" set included two types of fresh crab and two types of crab sushi rolls, all for 1180 yen. It's a limited-time offer until the end of January. I also ordered the "Sashimi Platter (premium)" for 1280 yen, which included tuna, salmon, scallops, and sweet shrimp. Everything arrived in great quality and I was impressed. The only downside is that you can't order just the sashimi platter, but overall, I was happy with my order. Ordering over the phone was easy and the sushi arrived fresh and delicious. I think I'm hooked on delivery sushi now!

Gin no Sara Yamashina store in Kyoto Yamaoka. My wife and I wanted to get sushi, so we called, but they didn't deliver to our area, so we had to go pick it up. We tried 6 different kinds, and were surprised by the high prices. However, if it's delicious, then we have no complaints. We ate it on the way home, but the rice wasn't that tasty. The fillings were neither delicious nor bad, just average. We think the prices are a bit high for this level of quality. Plus, since they don't deliver to our area, we probably won't use their service again. By the way, delivery starts from orders of 1500 yen or more.

I recommend the lunch set available only on weekdays! There are five different options for 880 yen each (Hana chirashi, Ue chirashi, Toro taku don, Onsen tamago zukedon, Kaki maze don) and each set comes with one side menu item (Japanese-style fried chicken, cup of miso soup, cup of clear soup, cold udon). The chirashi with the side menu cold udon was quite filling. For dessert, I highly recommend trying the salted red bean ice cream! It's a bit pricey at 290 yen per piece but it's really delicious! I once tried the pistachio gelato as well, but it was disappointing. The cup was too small, and at 340 yen, it was too expensive! Plus, the pistachio flavor was not very distinctive. The delivery starts from 1500 yen, so even if I want to have lunch alone with the lunch set, it's hard to reach that amount, making it not very affordable. As for recommended individual items, the seafood roll and the special seafood roll are delicious. However, I find the individual items to be a bit overpriced. Recently, even the 100 yen conveyor belt sushi has been getting tastier, so it's hard to justify ordering from this restaurant for anything other than lunch.

I ordered a sushi set from this restaurant to have a home party with friends at my place. By making a reservation in advance, I received a small discount and reserved a sushi set for 8 people. Since it was a celebration, I also ordered a higher-grade nigiri sushi from the menu. The sushi toppings included sea urchin, salmon roe, and fatty tuna, among other high-quality ingredients, and they were all very delicious. I would like to try this restaurant again if I have the chance.
