I stayed at this hotel on a weekday in January 2016. It cost 5300 yen for a single room with breakfast included. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station and has a large communal bath, making it a good value for the price. Breakfast can be added for an additional 800 yen. I opted for the breakfast option in advance. The breakfast was a buffet style with a decent variety, but it lacked traditional Kyoto dishes and pickles, which was disappointing. Considering this, the 800 yen price tag may be a bit high. The taste of the food was nothing special. There are fast food restaurants like Yoshinoya and Coffee House nearby, so there are other breakfast options available. It would be nice if they could lower the price a bit. Additionally, the dishes were made of ceramic, and I witnessed a child from China accidentally breaking a plate. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it might be a good idea to provide unbreakable dishes for children. While Japanese children are usually supervised by their parents, Chinese children may be left unsupervised. It may be necessary to address this issue for Chinese guests in the future.
