My father loves bagels, so he requested that I buy some for him when I visit home. I did some research and found this place. He wanted ones without any fillings, so I got plain, whole wheat, gluten-free, and walnut fig flavors. They were simple but delicious, chewy, and not powdery at all. The prices were reasonable too, so I would like to buy them again! Next time, I'll try the ones with fillings.

It's been quite a while since I last visited Gopan-san. I don't remember them having scones before, but it seems like they are focusing on scones now. I visited today specifically for the scones, and ended up buying a lot more than I planned. The scones I got were: Sakura An Mochi Bagel, Pumpkin & Pinabata, Wheat Bran Scone with Kinako & Kinako An, Wheat Bran Scone with Shinshu Yomogi, Wheat Bran Scone with Shinshu Miso & Walnuts, Whole Wheat 100% Yeast Scone, Yeast Scone with Shinshu Yomogi, Yeast Scone with Basil & Cheese, and Yeast Scone with Sakura. The scones were moist and not crumbly, with a fibrous texture in the Yomogi scone. They seemed like a healthy treat, and being small in size, it's easy to eat multiple. The freshly baked Sakura An Mochi Bagel was also delicious! There are so many other bagels that caught my eye, so I'll have to revisit soon.

On this day, I had some errands to run in Itabashi Honcho, a place I wouldn't normally visit if I didn't have any plans. After finishing my business, I had dinner reservations at a restaurant near Itabashi Station, so I decided to take a walk around the area. It was my first time wandering around, and I found the continuous shopping street to be quite charming and cozy. It seems like a nice place to live. As I walked around while searching for nearby places, I came across a bakery that caught my interest, so I took a detour to check it out! The shop was a small, independently owned bakery with a cozy atmosphere. They also had a cafe space, but it wasn't open on that day. The bakery mainly focused on bagels, with a variety of other breads displayed as well. There were so many tempting options that I couldn't decide what to choose! Eventually, I ended up with a tray full of different breads. The Tatar shrimp mayo bagel, crispy cheese and vegetable curry, and the recommended new item called Egg with egg salad and roast ham, topped with a delicious sauce. They all looked so delicious! I also tried a corner of a scone named "Hajiko-san" which was priced at a reasonable 90 yen, so I ended up getting three of them. The regular-sized scones were also tempting, so I bought one of those as well. The bagels and breads were priced around 300-350 yen, which may not be cheap but considering the generous portions and quality, they were definitely worth it. The chewy texture of the bagels was my favorite type! The Egg with delicious sauce did not disappoint in terms of taste! The "Tomato-chan" scone with dried tomatoes and cheese was also a hit! Above all, the lady at the shop was very warm and kind, making me feel like I would definitely want to visit again if I had any business in the Itabashi area. It was a wonderful bakery that left me satisfied! Thank you for the meal!

"Gopan" opened in 2015. Despite the name suggesting rice flour bread, it is actually a bakery specializing in bagels. Located in front of Itabashi Ward Office, this bakery uses homemade raisin yeast, domestic wheat flour, unrefined cane sugar, and high-quality butter in their ingredients, emphasizing on quality. Their selection of bagels is particularly impressive, making it a must-visit for bagel lovers.
Bagels are typically made without butter, milk, or eggs, using only water and wheat. They have a dense and chewy texture, and are boiled before baking, which is their distinctive feature.
Some other popular bagel specialty shops include Maruichi Bagel in Shirogane, Tekona Bagel Works in Tomigaya, Pom de Terre in Nishi-Ogikubo, VANITOY BAGEL in Kawagoe, Kakuya Bagel in Kokuritsu, and Rinko in Niiza. However, many of these shops have short operating hours.
Some recommended items at Gopan include the Mari Bo Cheese & Ham for 368 yen, Blueberry Bagel for 300 yen, and the Rich Chocolate & Chestnut made with homemade yeast for 324 yen. The Mari Bo Cheese & Ham bagel has a chewy texture and is satisfying to bite into. It is perfect for lunch with its rich German cheese and light ham combination. The Blueberry Bagel contains large blueberries that complement the chewy bagel well with a hint of fruity sweetness. The Rich Chocolate & Chestnut scone is a popular choice, with its rich cocoa flavor and chestnuts, making it a delightful treat for afternoon tea.
Gopan is gaining popularity with its carefully crafted and diverse selection of bread. With such a variety, it's a place where you can enjoy different flavors every day without getting tired of it. Thank you for the delicious meal! (≧д≦)ゝ!

It's a repeat. Consistently delicious. Everything looks so tasty, I end up buying too much every time. The texture is chewy and very delicious. I hope to have lunch in the store someday. The bag is charged, but the Nico-chan pattern is cute.

I always tend to go for the daily special, but today I felt like having a fresh vegetable salad, so I ordered the beautiful salad lunch. When it arrived, the salad looked pretty much as I expected. However, there was a strange bread on the side. It looked like a piece of bagel. Each one seemed to be a different type of bagel, at least in terms of shape. It was crispy and delicious. The salad was a colorful mix of fresh vegetables topped with an egg. The dressing was tasty. And then there was the half bagel with a small amount of butter. I wonder if the type of bagel varies depending on the person or the day? Mine was a multi-grain bagel, with a nice chewy texture and a slight crunch. On hot days, a salad like this might be a good choice. But I still think that having something sandwiched between bread is more satisfying. I also missed the usual vegetable-packed soup. Nevertheless, my lunch experience was enjoyable and I feel satisfied.

I always enjoy trying the daily specials, but this time I decided to go with the option to choose a sandwich with a bagel. I chose a plain bagel and had it made into a simple BLT. The bagel that came out was plump and looked very appetizing. The plain bagel was the perfect choice as it complemented the flavors of the fillings while also allowing me to enjoy the chewy texture of the bagel. I also ordered a drink, and the total came to around 900 yen, but the portion size was quite satisfying. It's nice to try something different once in a while.

I visited during lunchtime and they had a variety of bread, with bagels being the main focus. The dough overall had a balanced taste. There are not many bakeries around, so if you live near Itabashi City Hall, I think you would use this bakery. It's a nice, homey shop with drawings from local elementary schools and children. I don't take that into account in my evaluation, only the product selection, quality, and price.

I had the daily lunch special today! As usual, the place was crowded and all the customers were women. It's been a while since I had it, and I was impressed by how delicious the bagel was. I didn't remember it being this good! The lettuce was fresh and plentiful, with a great texture and flavor. The soup was really hearty with lots of ingredients, and it even had myoga in it! Myoga is something kids don't usually eat, so I rarely have it at home. I was happy to see it in the soup. It had napa cabbage, carrots, and bread to soak it in, making it a luxurious dish. The thick-sliced bread with a pizza-like topping was also delicious. I was pleased to find corn in it, as I love corn. It seems like the owner's child has grown up, as the displayed artwork has improved (laughs). It's one of the wonderful things about this place. I look forward to watching them grow and enjoying delicious meals in the future. ♡

Mugwort Bagel ¥330
Mugwort Bread (half size) ¥335
The bagel has a light and firm texture with lots of air, making it dense. It is low in fat, which may be why it can feel a bit dry. If you see it as healthy, then it's good! When toasted, it becomes crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It's recommended to toast it. The mugwort flavor is strong. The whole wheat flour is 100%, so it's not heavy but dense. The whole wheat and mugwort aroma is strong and quite fragrant.

Sakura An Cube ¥281
A moist bread with plenty of sakura bean paste. The bread is thin and the sakura bean paste is the main highlight, very satisfying. The sakura bean paste itself is slightly sweet, falling under the category of sweets. Additionally, there is salted sakura petals on top, adding a salty and delicious touch.

A cozy bakery offering healthy bread options, with a cafe attached where many customers enjoy eating in. The owner is very kind and always lifts my spirits. The pumpkin scone I took out has a gentle sweetness of pumpkin and a moist texture with the aroma of yeast. It's delicious no matter when you eat it.

*Waiting time* No waiting time on Wednesday at 7:30 PM *Order & Price* Purchased Nasuza Bagel and Matcha Cream Bagel *Atmosphere of the shop* Omitted *Service* Omitted *Impression* I stopped by while visiting a nearby bakery. I was disappointed last time because there were hardly any bagel options, so this time I wanted to give it another try. Although I couldn't buy Kinako-chan or Curry Melon, I was able to purchase Nasuza Bagel and the limited edition Matcha Cream. The matcha flavor is quite prominent. It's delicious when toasted and crispy. Despite appearing to have little matcha, you can taste it in every bite. The crunchy and spicy Nasuza is packed with flavor. Toasting it also made it delicious. However, I felt that it lacked the chewiness that is characteristic of bagels. *Hopes for improvement* Similar to my previous feedback, I wish there was more of the chewy texture typical of bagels.

*Waiting time* No wait on Saturday at 9:35
*Order & Price* Edamame Cheese Bagel Half 162 yen
*Atmosphere* The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It seems to be loved by locals.
*Service* The service is friendly and warm.
*Impression* Unfortunately, the bagel I was looking for was not available at all. However, I felt like I should buy something, so I purchased half of the Edamame Cheese bagel. It was quite thin, so I felt like the cost performance was not great. I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the sesame, but I felt like it lacked the chewiness typical of a bagel. I wish it had more of that bagel-like quality.
*Expectations* I hope to be able to try the Nanazawa pickles, Kinako-chan, Curry Melon, etc. next time. The bagel sandwich with salad also looked delicious.

A small bakery located near Itabashi Yotsuya intersection, right next to Itabashi Ward Office. The shop offers table seating and can be used as a cafe. On a hot day, I was drawn in by the smoothie sign. They use homemade yeast and domestic wheat for their bread. The interior is decorated with illustrations, possibly made by children. They offer around 30 types of bagels as their main items. I purchased:
- "Smoothie Peach & Mango (¥539)"
- "Today's Special Healthy Salad Sandwich (¥346)"
- "Scone Walnut and Chocolate (¥324)"
The smoothie was ready in about 5 minutes. It had a yogurt base with a light sweetness and a refreshing taste. The peach and mango flavors were well balanced without being overpowering. Chia seeds and frozen yellow peaches added a nice touch. The healthy salad sandwich contained about 10 types of vegetables with burdock mayo. The aroma of shiso leaves was a nice accent, and the sandwich was filled with plenty of lettuce. The bagel had a light texture, making it easy to eat as a sandwich. The scone was moist and had a wheat aroma, with a perfect balance of walnuts and chocolate. The bakery had a cozy atmosphere with a focus on quality bread. I look forward to trying their plain type next time to fully appreciate the dough.

A bakery with a homey atmosphere where bread made with natural yeast is lined up, and you can also eat in. The owner is really, really kind, and just talking to them makes you feel relaxed. The scones are moist and fragrant, and I definitely want to buy some bread next time I go.

I haven't had lunch here in a while because I've been trying to avoid wheat, but the colorful interior of the restaurant has been upgraded even more. It's funny to see how the posters made by the children have been upgraded as they grow. The lunch options include choices and daily specials. I chose the daily special which was a pumpkin salad bagel, mayo corn bread, and a cabbage-filled soup. The bagel was soft and delicious, with sweet pumpkin and corn creating a feeling of happiness. The soup was also great with lots of vegetables. The balance was perfect. The restaurant was bustling with female customers as usual, and there were many people getting takeout. It felt like the restaurant was loved by the community.
