Kyo-Koubadou is a tea shop where I enjoyed a delicious cup of tea in a small cup. The tea I tried was their kombu tea, which was very tasty. I also purchased their Kyoto specialty tea "Koubacha 1P (2g x 14 bags)" as a souvenir, which combines blue perilla, plum, kombu, and matcha flavors. It cost around 500 yen.

In October 2015, one of the souvenirs from my eldest son's school trip was fragrant tea. The package had the mark of "Ryoanji Temple". It seems to have been purchased at Ryoanji Temple. Each cup is a single serving of powdered tea. It contains perilla, plum, kelp, and matcha. You put it in a teacup and pour about 90cc of hot water. It has a flavor of plum in kelp tea. Does the matcha serve to lightly color it? It also has a salty taste, making it refreshing. It doesn't really go well with Japanese sweets. It was a nice drink to relax with. Thank you for the meal.

Happy New Year!! This year, there is snow, and after finishing the greetings with relatives, I took a break. I tried some hojicha tea, which has a nice aroma and is perfect for a tired body. It's a salted green tea without bitterness, making it ideal for the New Year. It's easy to make by just adding 90cc of hot water. This tea is great for gifts as well. The store also sells a special New Year's tea with symbols of good luck when hot water is added. It's a perfect gift that will surely be appreciated.
