I visited the restaurant after 2 PM and it was almost full. It seemed like mostly tourists and school trip students. It's probably a popular spot for lunch after visiting Shijo-Kawaramachi and Yasaka Shrine. The ramen was not exceptional enough to justify the crowdedness. It must be popular because it's in touristy Kyoto.

Visited "Giowin Tamejiro" in Gion, Kyoto and "Soba Restaurant Tamejiro" in Tokyo Station. Had the special "Kyoto Tamejiro set meal" at the Gion store, which included delicious chicken soba (clear broth soup) and chirimen sansho rice and side dishes, with the soba changed to zaru soba. Everything was tasty, but the chirimen sansho rice was especially delicious. Took photos of Gion, Kyoto Tower, and Kyoto Station before heading to Tokyo.

I took a break with a snack. Instead of something sweet, I ordered ramen because I was really hungry. It was pretty delicious, chicken ramen. It was a Kyoto-style restaurant. I get overwhelmed by all the matcha sweets in Kyoto, so it was nice to have some Chinese-style ramen when I was tired. Thank you for the meal.

Next to Ruma Plaza, there was a menu that everyone stopped to look at. Even though it costs nearly a thousand yen to take a break at a café in Gion, the ramen and Kyoto obanzai set for a thousand yen was a hit (laughs). The taste was average, but the service was better than a ramen shop, with warm tea served. It was also nice to be able to try three types of obanzai. #Kyoto 14th spot #Gion Shijo #sweet shop #ramen #Gion Tamejiro

After visiting Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, I came here because I wanted to eat a matcha parfait. I ordered the special matcha parfait. It was delicious with macarons, Yatsuhashi and matcha jelly, matcha ice cream, and matcha zenzai. The matcha flavor wasn't as strong as I expected, but overall, I was able to enjoy matcha, so I was satisfied. ◎

I had chicken ramen at a restaurant in Kyoto that also sells Yatsuhashi. The ramen had a simple appearance but the rich white broth was delicious! It also came with a Yatsuhashi as a sweet touch, which was very impressive for a Yatsuhashi shop!

After a long walk exploring Kyoto, I took a break at Gion-san. When it comes to Kyoto's parfaits, matcha parfait is a must-try! I was drawn to the parfait and decided to order the matcha parfait along with a cinnamon-flavored milk tea called Yatsuhashi Tea. The Yatsuhashi Tea was a deliciously sweet milk tea with a hint of cinnamon flavor, and it came with a piece of Yatsuhashi. Since it was a bit chilly today, I opted for a hot version. The matcha parfait consisted of macarons, matcha and vanilla ice cream, chiffon cake, Yatsuhashi, matcha pudding, and more, offering a variety of flavors as you dig deeper. It was really delicious. Matcha parfait may be a classic, but it's always a good choice!

The sweets cafe "Giin Tamejiro" at Nishio Hachibashi Main Store is located in Gion Main Store facing Shijo Street, with tea shops, Japanese goods, pickles, and souvenirs lining the street, filled with tourists! It gets really crowded during lunchtime and on weekends, but we were able to get in quickly in the evening. I was happy to see that they not only offer sweets but also rice dishes. For dinner, I ordered the salted rice ball and Nishio ramen set. It came with two salted rice balls, Nishio ramen, and Hachibashi. Nishio soba = Kyoto-style ramen, I tried it for the first time and it tasted like tonkotsu ramen with chicken broth. Delicious! For dessert, I had the Nishio Hachibashi parfait with matcha-flavored macaron, two Hachibashi, Tanba black beans, gold leaf, and luxurious matcha bitterness combined with the sweetness of the parfait. It was huge - at the bottom was matcha sponge and blancmange. I enjoyed the matcha flavor and left satisfied.

I unexpectedly got hungry before 4 o'clock and was looking for a place to have lunch while walking in Gion. I came across a sign with pictures of noodles. The shop was located above a Yatsuhashi store, and it seemed to mainly serve sweets. While everyone around me was eating parfaits and other desserts, I decided to order cold noodles - duck soba. The thin noodles were firm and cold, and the duck meat was surprisingly tender and delicious. The soup had a spicy kick to it. I was a bit hesitant about the price of 1,000 yen, but considering the location in the heart of Gion, it was reasonable. I also felt like having something sweet, and luckily they included Yatsuhashi with the meal. It was a nice touch. It felt like I was really experiencing Kyoto's sightseeing. It was a hot day, so I opted for cold noodles, but they also serve ramen. It's like a sweets shop where you can also enjoy ramen. Thank you for the meal.
