Meat Day (the 29th) is always popular and very busy. On Sundays, a one-hour wait is normal. Sometimes, even after waiting 20 minutes after ordering, nothing would come. Despite past experiences, I visited during their anniversary celebration. It was still very popular. While I usually have my go-to order, the same menu can vary in quality depending on the day. On this day, the tenderloin (salt) was the most delicious. The service also seemed to have improved.

Visited in August 2020. When we received a LINE notification about a great all-you-can-eat deal, my wife suggested we go back to this restaurant after a long time. We went in the evening and were one of the first customers, but by the time we left, it was quite busy. It was unexpected. Due to COVID-19, the salad bar was not available at that time, and it seems like it's still not open. The adults may not have been highly satisfied, but there were plenty of limited-time side menu options, and the kids seemed to enjoy it. It's a good place for a hearty meal at a reasonable price. I've included a snapshot of the current menu for reference. Thank you for the meal.

Suddenly, my family decided to eat out and we were debating where to go. I remembered hearing that Yakiniku Den has a special deal on the 29th, so we decided to go there. We were seated at a table and found a 90-minute all-you-can-eat menu for 1,980 yen (990 yen for elementary school students). We ordered the tongue (pork), kalbi, harami, and loin. The tongue was a bit thin and had a slight smell when grilled. The kalbi, harami, and loin were of standard quality for all-you-can-eat yakiniku and were quite tasty. Grilling the whole kalbi, which was about 20 centimeters long, and cutting it into bite-sized pieces with scissors was a fun process. The meat had a decent amount of fat, so it would be great for younger people, but as I get older, I couldn't eat as much. Personally, I enjoyed the harami the most. At 1,980 yen for all-you-can-eat yakiniku, it's definitely a good deal, so I would like to go back when my kids have bigger appetites.

Visited in November 2018 with a FoodLog rating of 3.03 (7 reviews). We went to "Yakiniku Den" as a family on the meat day order buffet for 1980 yen + drink bar for 290 yen (100 yen discount). Elementary school students pay 1000 yen (toddlers are free) and you can also enjoy ice cream with a drink bar order. It was "Meat Day" so the buffet was available at a discounted price, and it was also November 29th, with drinks at half price. Additionally, the drink bar and ice cream bar were 100 yen off at 290 yen. The draft beer was 195 yen (half the regular price), which was a good deal. The relatively delicious cuts of meat we had were: - Harami: The moderately thick Harami was tender and had a good meaty taste. - Pork tongue: It had a good texture and was delicious, so everyone enjoyed it and I lost count of how many servings we had. - Tecchan: I was the only one who ate this, so I only ordered one serving, but it was surprisingly good. - Liver: The rich liver was quite tasty. Oh, and the kimchi was also very good. I also made an original version of the hot pot with Chinese cabbage kimchi, Harami, and grated garlic, which enhanced the flavor. After the meal, we had soft serve and chocolate chip ice cream, with the latter being the most delicious. The curry seemed to be a hit with the kids, as they kept going back for more. It was a great day with various discounts and promotions. Thank you for the meal.

Visited in November 2017 at 5:20 pm, with a rating of 3.04 on Tabelog based on 7 reviews. "Yakiniku Den" offers an order buffet for 2,680 yen, with half price for elementary school students and free for children under elementary school age. It seems like it has been about 2 years since my last visit. The previous visit included "oden" on the menu, but it seems to have disappeared now. Salad bar and curry are included from the start, but soft serve and ice cream are only available if you order the drink bar. I wanted to finish my meal early today and relax at home, so I went there early. The advantage of going early is that it's not crowded, and they bring your order quickly. The serving time was quite different between the first half and the second half, so I think it's better to go early next time. At first, "kalbi," "bara," and "loin" are predetermined, and then you can order your favorite menu items using the touch panel system. Even the replacement of the grill is done through the touch panel, which was unexpected. The countdown timer is displayed on the touch panel. My eldest son has always had difficulty eating meat since he was young, so he preferred to eat thin slices of meat like bara. The spiciness of the "yukkejang soup" was quite to his liking, so we ended up ordering the "yukkejang cuppa" at the end. There was also tiramisu, but I can't remember what it was like. Overall, it's enjoyable for families to visit together. Thank you for the meal.

Well, well, near Nishiyama Tennozan Station, there are limited options for dining at the newly built Death Station. It's surprising how there are not many restaurants around the station... It seems like there are only a few casual dining places or izakayas. There is a not-so-obvious store in a building where you can walk a bit and find Yakiniku Den. The salad bar and other items are charged separately, but they serve Wakame soup and rice in a style where the staff brings it to you. You can also order through a touch panel, but it's faster to tell the staff directly. This time, I tried the Den lunch, which offers four types of meat that are reasonably grilled. It's enjoyable without overeating, as unlimited options tend to make you gain weight. The sauces on the table include a collagen-infused one, with a surprisingly bold flavor. The soy sauce-based sauce is sweet and perfect for kids. You can also request additional sauces like miso and gochujang in small dishes. Squeezing lemon over the salad enhances its acidity. Personally, I like miso sauce, and it added richness and sweetness that complemented the meat well. The meat itself is average, so using the sauce to adjust the flavor is necessary. But nothing beats freshly grilled meat on the stove.

I finally went to a restaurant I've been wanting to try, even though I love Gamba. They offer a lunch special with all-you-can-eat options, but I didn't go for that because I can't eat that much. I tried the Aged Mixed Yakiniku, which is 200g of marinated meat that looked dark and aged. Cooking yakiniku on the grill is always great! They had various sauces like ponzu, sweet soy sauce, and a collagen-infused yakiniku sauce. I personally think the meat is delicious enough without any sauce, but the miso sauce and simple soy sauce were also tasty. The self-service area takes some time to prepare before you can start eating, but it's fun for families. It's like enjoying a meal at a family restaurant, which is nice.

Visited "Yakiniku & Salad Bar Den" with my family on the Meat Day in December 2015. My preschooler son got to eat for free as a service, which was nice. It seems that for every adult, two preschoolers can eat for free. The parking lot was quite full, but we managed to find a spot and entered the restaurant. It's all-you-can-eat, with an initial platter served and then the rest is buffet-style. We tried a variety of meats, but as a family, we agreed that the "Harami," "Roast," "Kalbi," and "Yagen Nankotsu" were the best. The Harami was thick, tender, and juicy. We also tried the Cheese Fondue, which was okay when dipped with meat. The Kimchi platter was decent but quite spicy. My son kept going back for the curry. The Oden was average, and surprisingly, the corn soup was good. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream, but the soft-serve that came with the drink bar was better. We also tried the chocolate fountain. Overall, considering the price, the food was not bad at all. Thank you for the meal. Visited in October 2014: Visited "Den" after a long time since we have a favorite yakiniku all-you-can-eat place. We went after visiting the Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsuragawa with the family. The all-you-can-eat courses come with a salad bar. Today, we chose the Standard Course with a drink bar coupon for free soft-serve. The meat was decent overall. Besides the salad bar, there were soups and curry available, which was a nice service for kids who might get tired of just eating meat. There was a monitor at the table showing videos of "Nolan Ryan Beef" repeatedly. It might ring a bell for baseball fans, as he was a former MLB pitcher who now runs a ranch. Unfortunately, the "Nolan Ryan Beef" was not available for order in the Standard Course. I also had an American dog, which was smaller due to the all-you-can-eat concept. Considering the price, it was not bad at all. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I went to the Den Nagoya-kyo store. They were running a campaign that day, so I was tempted to order the "all-you-can-eat" option. The store was bustling with energy, likely due to the campaign. I arrived about 40 minutes after opening, and the atmosphere was quite lively. There were many families and groups of students (probably middle school students) around. My impression was mainly about the "quantity". The dishes arrived in large portions that made me lose my appetite at first sight. Looking at the many students around, I thought, "I might have been more excited if this was 15 years ago." The taste was quite ordinary, which was expected at a store that attracts many students. What surprised me was the three students at the table next to me. They had a very middle school-like vibe and were also ordering the all-you-can-eat option. Their quantity was so excessive that it made me wonder, "What are they eating?" and "Are they going to order more?" They kept ordering tongue meat repeatedly, alternating between rice and tongue. Perhaps witnessing that scene made me lose my appetite. This place is perfect for when you just want to eat heartily and satisfy your appetite in a casual setting.

I don't usually choose family restaurants myself, but when I'm out driving, I often find myself having to stop at places with a "P" sign. Today, I ended up having lunch at a place I came across on the way. I ordered the lunch set for 750 yen, which included harami, kalbi, and loin with salad, rice, and wakame soup with free refills. The harami had a good balance of fat and was quite delicious. The sauces available were sweet, citrus, and collagen-rich. It's a good option for families, especially with the self-service buffet at night. The lunch prices seem to be lower than what's listed on their website, which is a smart move considering the current economic situation. The staff were wearing what looked like uniforms, and I noticed some of them were supporters of Gamba Osaka. Overall, I hope this place continues to thrive with its resilient business approach.

On February 13, 2010, I decided to have dinner outside after a long time. My parents are not very outgoing, so we ended up going to this yakiniku restaurant, Den Nagaokakyo branch, nearby. This is usually our go-to place for yakiniku. There are many other places I would like to try, but due to my parents' lack of interest in going out, we always end up here. To get there, you take National Route 171 and turn west at Katsuryuji intersection onto Suntory Street (Prefectural Route 204). After passing under the JR overpass and going a little further, you will see the familiar red sign and store on your left. We parked in the front parking lot and entered the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us with a lively "Welcome!" Oh, their voices are still as energetic as ever. Since it was a bit early for dinner, there were not many customers yet. We were seated at a table by the window and looked at the menu. We ordered "Harami," "Salted tongue," "Chicken thigh," "Assorted hormones," and "Sausage" for grilling. For side dishes, we ordered "Yukhoe," "Den cold noodles (small)," and "Drink bar." The quality of the grilled items was decent overall considering the price. The salted tongue was a bit tough at first... The assorted hormones included liver, intestines, and tripe. The intestines were quite fatty. Personally, I would have been happy if they had heart as well. The side dish "Yukhoe" with a sweet and savory sauce was delicious, but the portion was a bit small for the price. The "Den cold noodles (small)" as the finishing dish had chewy noodles with a flavorful chicken broth. It came with char siu, boiled egg, cucumber, and pineapple. I added a lot of gochujang sauce and enjoyed it. The "Drink bar" not only had drinks but also unlimited soft-serve ice cream, which was a nice treat for those with a sweet tooth. The taste, service, and atmosphere were all quite average. It's a typical family-friendly yakiniku restaurant. The prices are reasonable for a yakiniku meal. It may not be exceptionally delicious, but it's a good choice for casual dining. Oh, the staff were energetic and friendly.

Visited around 5:00 pm on September 15, 2014. Had only had morning ramen and nothing solid since, so I was hungry. I got off at a newly established station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line and decided to check out a family-style yakiniku restaurant. The nearest station is Nishiyama Tennozan, about a 3-minute walk from the east exit. The restaurant had a rating of 3.00 on Tabelog, fitting for a chain restaurant. Despite it being a bit early for dinner, there were families of 3-4 people coming in one after another, including those with reservations. I slightly regretted going in alone, but it was too late. They offered an all-you-can-eat menu, which I'm sure would be appreciated by hungry men and women. I ordered a set for one person with salad bar (beef loin, kalbi, harami). You could specify the gram amount of meat, with a price change accordingly. For 150g, it was 1,280 yen. The salad bar had a variety of vegetables, potato salad, seaweed soup, curry, rice, and more. The total bill for the set and a draft beer was 1,911 yen including tax. The meat and salad bar offerings were of good quality. The curry was surprisingly better than the meat, especially when mixed with the fresh vegetables from the salad bar. I recommend ordering the cheapest set with the salad bar to fully enjoy the vegetables and curry. They were promoting a beef brand called Nolan Ryan Beef, which seemed to be endorsed by the legendary Major League pitcher. Surprisingly, the restaurant was related to Kansai Daki Tokoyo Lantern Sonezaki branch, which I had no idea about.

We went to this restaurant with a discount coupon for "Den Reimen" that was included in the newspaper flyer. We arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before the opening time of 11:30, but it looked closed. The blinds were down and there were no cars in the parking lot. We decided to leave and come back later. When we returned, the restaurant was open. Despite being just before opening, there were small pieces of trash on the tables. We ordered the "Den Reimen" and the presentation was unappetizing. The noodles were thick and yellow, topped with canned pineapple, boiled egg, cucumber slices, a few sprouts, and cheap-looking ham-like pork slices. The soup tasted like ramen broth, not the usual cold noodle soup. The noodles were overly hard, almost like eating soft plastic. We tried to improve the taste by adding more vinegar, kimchi, and a little ponzu sauce, but it was still disappointing. We finished the meal, but decided we would not return for the subpar experience. Our expectations for delicious cold noodles at a reasonable price in a yakiniku restaurant were not met.
