I was torn between strawberry daifuku, coffee daifuku, and sweet potato daifuku from the refrigerated case, but ended up getting the sweet potato daifuku. It was delicious! Inside the daifuku, there was whipped cream and steamed purple sweet potato, creating a sophisticated sweetness that paired perfectly with the soft texture. I was truly enchanted by it.

It takes courage to buy small quantities at a traditional Japanese confectionery shop, but at Kohfuku-ya, they have small packs available on display for easy purchase. Today, I bought "Wakaayu" and "Minatsuki", both perfect for spring. Wakaayu has a flavorful skin and a soft, chewy filling that is delicious. Minatsuki is a small, easy-to-eat size. The uiro is moist and soft, with a rich taste of red beans on top. I look forward to the delicious seasonal Japanese sweets they offer. I will definitely visit again!

I happened to come across this shop and decided to stop by, feeling like it was fate. I bought various sweets like warabi mochi, yomogi dango, and manju. When I got home and tried them, I found that the warabi mochi was surprisingly delicious! It had a soft and rich flavor. Kyoto truly has hidden gems. The yomogi dango had a sweet red bean filling and a chewy skin, which was also tasty. The manju was a bit on the sweeter side, but still had a good flavor. I would love to try the warabi mochi again, and also the warabi mochi with red bean filling.
