A curry restaurant located right near the National Stadium. I had been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to visit for lunch on a holiday. I arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes before opening time, and since there was no line, I was the first one to enter. The interior had an L-shaped counter and a few table seats, creating a calm atmosphere. The menu offered chicken, vegetable, keema mutton, and a daily special curry for lunch, and this time I ordered the "Chicken (1,100 yen)" with half naan and half rice. The curry arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was more like a soup with a fairly spicy flavor. It's hard to describe, but it wasn't just chili pepper spiciness, rather a complex blend of spices with a rough, wild taste that was also deep and delicious. The naan was well baked in the tandoor, crispy on the outside and chewy inside, which was very tasty. Curry preferences may vary, but personally, I liked this type of curry, so I'd like to try different curries if I have the chance.

Every time I visit, the curry gets tastier and tastier. The mysterious spices make it better with each visit - the second time is better than the first, and the third time is even more delicious. The naan is uniquely delicious, but I wish it had a bit more chewiness. I can't resist going back for more... This time I had eggplant, tomato, and chicken curry. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I had the mutton keema for 1100 yen. It was exactly as described on the menu, with a very coarse grind of mutton that was delicious. The meat was fatty and perfect for lamb lovers. It came with a generous serving of keema and rice, with pickles on the side. The pickles included cucumber, celery, turnip, and carrot. They also have a tandoor for making naan bread. You can choose to have naan instead of rice, or order extra naan on the side. The restaurant is very accommodating, with half portions available. Next time, I'll try the naan. The 1100 yen I spent was definitely worth it. I'm looking forward to trying their chicken curry and vegetable curry. I went on a weekday for lunch around 1 pm and there were a few empty seats. It's located right next to the Victor Company headquarters, and on my way back I stopped to see the Nipper statue. It's about a 10-minute walk from Sendagaya.

Revisited this place. The keema matar here is coarsely ground with a satisfying texture, always delicious. The naan is different from the usual one you get at Indian curry restaurants, it's thick and smaller in size. It's buttered and smells great. The staff isn't very friendly. The service is a bit cold. It's a popular place, but maybe because it's a bit off the beaten path, you can always get in without waiting, which is nice.

I left a soccer game halfway to enter this restaurant, which had high ratings on Tabelog. I had high hopes, but the pork curry with extra rice and a beer cost just over 2000 yen. The taste was really average and nothing special. The price for extra rice at 430 yen is similar to what you'd pay for a beef bowl. Most of all, I want to mention that the staff were unfriendly. There was no menu available, and they didn't even offer water. Their lackluster responses made me feel uneasy. This place seems to rely more on its atmosphere than its food quality. If it were in a different location, it would probably go out of business quickly. I won't be coming back.

I've been curious about this place for a while and I finally got the chance to visit. It's my first time here, and I ordered the daily special Okra Curry with mutton. I heard that the curry here with minced mutton is delicious, so I couldn't pass up the mutton. The restaurant is cozy yet has a nice atmosphere, making it a relaxing space. Since it was a Saturday, it wasn't crowded and I was seated at the counter right away. The food was served quickly after ordering, which was great for a lunchtime visit. I took a bite of just the curry sauce first. It wasn't spicy, but the spices gave it a nice kick that was refreshing in the hot weather. Mixing it with the rice, the fluffy rice paired perfectly with the flavorful curry. The curry had plenty of okra, adding a nice thickness and texture that was a great touch. This place not only serves curry but also offers a variety of dishes, so I would like to come back in the evening to enjoy a leisurely meal with some drinks.

Next to the New National Stadium, there is a curry restaurant named after the world-renowned guitarist "Jimi Hendrix". The owner is also a former guitarist who was part of the band "The Happies" and even appeared on the cover of Sunny Day Service's album. The curry is served separately from the rice or naan. Despite being a watery curry, it has a perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. In the evenings, the restaurant also operates as a bar where you can enjoy their curry. Location: 10 minutes walk from Kitasando Station, 7 minutes walk from Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station. Opening hours: Lunch 11:30-14:30 (L.O.), Dinner 18:30-21:00 (L.O.). Closed on Sundays and public holidays. I visited on a weekday evening and was seated immediately. Many customers seem to call ahead before visiting. Today, I ordered the Chicken Curry (¥950) with Naan (¥320) and Rice (¥320). The restaurant plays music related to Jimi Hendrix. Although I was tempted by the Shrimp Chili Coconut Curry and Keema Mutton Curry, I chose the most popular Chicken Curry. The restaurant was quiet when I arrived alone, but by the time the curry arrived, it was full. In the evenings, the bar operates and most customers order from the a la carte menu. The curry is a watery type similar to soup curry, with a sharp spiciness from cilantro. The brown curry with red hues looks like it might make you sweat, but the balance of spiciness and flavor is exquisite, making you smile. The tender texture of the chicken is also good. The saffron rice with a hint of wheat is nice, but the highlight is the naan. Crispy on the outside like a bagel, but with a wheat aroma that fills your mouth. Dipping this chewy naan into the curry adds a buttery and milder flavor. This restaurant truly impressed me with its delicious curry after a long time.

Jingu-mae HENDRIX CURRY BAR "okrd Keema Mutton" I usually visit restaurants that I haven't been to before, but this time I decided to revisit a place that I found really charming. This restaurant has been selected as one of the top curry restaurants in 2017-2020/2022. Last time, I tried the popular Chicken curry, so this time I went for the Mutton Keema curry with Okra. The Keema curry was rich and flavorful, cooked with care, and the combination of mutton, okra, and beans was delicious. The pickles served with rice were also a great side dish. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. Thank you for the feast!

I had a half set of chicken curry with rice and naan. It was very flavorful with lots of spices and deliciously spicy. I couldn't stop sweating because I visited in the summer. The pickles that came with it were also delicious. The lassi was also tasty.

I thought it was a British rock-themed restaurant, but when I entered, nostalgic Japanese songs were playing inside. I felt a bit misled by the name. The interior was filled with rock vibes everywhere, so it might vary depending on the day. I ordered vegetable curry. The curry was topped with crispy fried vegetables. The rice was served with a variety of pickles like cucumber, burdock, tomato, and raisins. The curry had a strong tomato acidity mixed with dirty spices, creating a subtle and delightful taste. The crispy fried vegetables added a nice touch, making the joy of eating last until the end. I felt the scent of Marshall while fantasizing about the curry.

Okra and lamb keema curry is not bad, but it's not my favorite. I'm happy with half rice and half naan! The rice was delicious when I went before, but the naan was also very tasty and substantial! I feel like the curry was tastier last time I visited!

This is a curry restaurant among the top 100 shops in 2022. It is located near the National Stadium. I arrived 15 minutes before the Saturday opening time and was the first in line as there were no previous customers. Gradually, others started lining up. The restaurant offers various dishes and alcoholic beverages in addition to curry. I ordered the Keema Mutton for 1,100 yen, which came with half naan and half rice. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, so I liked that I could taste both naan and rice. Pickles were served alongside the naan and rice, consisting of cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, celery, and shimeji mushrooms, providing a refreshing taste. The naan was thick and chewy. The curry featured coarsely ground mutton, allowing me to enjoy its texture and flavor. It was a spicy curry. The finely chopped onions and bell peppers added a beautiful touch. I also thought about coming back for drinks next time.

I came alone after work to the restaurant at night. I thought it was a curry shop, but surprisingly, the atmosphere was nice for dinner, and I was charmed right away. I ordered four items: tarako and green chili potato salad, pork curry, pickles, and minced meat spring rolls. Honestly, they were incredibly delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, and the food was amazing. The curry reminded me of Yogorou's pork curry with large pork pieces and a slightly tangy yogurt topping. When I had a bite of pork, curry, rice, and yogurt together, it was the perfect harmony! The pickles were also delicious with a variety of pickled vegetables. The winner was the vinegar and pepper(?) that came with the spring rolls.

I personally do not recommend it very much. The naan is small and hard. The rice is also brown rice, which doesn't go well with the curry. The curry also has a unique spice blend. I found myself missing the Indian curry often found near train stations. If you like ethnic curry, it's fine, but if not, I would avoid it.

Visited around 13:30 on the weekend. There were about 3 people in the restaurant. I was able to sit without waiting in line. I had the Chicken Mutton Curry (¥1,100-). You can choose between rice, naan, or half rice and half naan. I was indecisive between rice and naan, so I appreciated the option of having half of each. The texture of the coarsely ground mutton and the onions was really good. The naan was not chewy, but rather dense, probably made with whole wheat flour. It had a unique flavor that paired well with the curry. The staff's conversation was at a volume that felt like listening to the radio, which was a bit confusing at first, but once I got used to it, the atmosphere was not bad at all. Thank you for the meal.

The location has a very stylish atmosphere and goes well with the setting. The curry is more like a soup than a thick curry. It is spiced but not very spicy. It was different from the Indian curries I have had before, and I was curious about what kind of curry it was. Payment is cash only.

I don't often go to Jingumae, but it's good to step out of the usual area once in a while. Breaking away from routine and seeing a different view is very important, I think. And I'm grateful to have found such a wonderful restaurant.

First visit, decided on the vegetable curry (1100 yen). The curry was light but spicy with a good depth of flavor. The only downside was that there was not enough curry sauce. The total amount of curry with the vegetables was sufficient, but I wanted more of the delicious sauce. The vegetable fry contained 9 types of vegetables including sweet potato, enoki mushrooms, onions, broccoli, eggplant, snap peas, potatoes, tomatoes, and zucchini. All were delicious, especially the broccoli and potatoes. The half portion of rice was slightly smaller than standard. The half portion of whole wheat naan was thick and not my preference, but unique and good. The pickles included radish, carrot, cucumber, and lotus root, all cut thick except for the lotus root. I ordered a Ebisu draft beer for 650 yen, but they were out of the IPA I wanted. Despite that, the curry was so delicious that I plan to revisit to try a different curry. Next time, I will ask if I can have extra curry sauce. Thank you for the meal.

I found a shop near my workplace. I went there after 12:30 and was able to enter at a good time. The mutton keema curry is famous, but I played it safe and chose the vegetable curry. It was a watery curry with a strong spice flavor and lots of summer vegetables, very delicious! I could choose between rice, naan, or half & half, so I chose half & half. The rice was nice with the curry and the naan was soft and tasty. The first photo is chicken curry, the second is vegetable curry. Just be aware that they only accept cash for payment, and the unfriendly attitude of the staff was a bit of a concern, so I give it 3 stars.

In terms of the subway, it is located near Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station on the Toei Subway line, west of Jingu Stadium and the National Stadium. I had curry in this area three days in a row. I arrived on a weekday afternoon and was seated at the counter without waiting. The regular curry options were chicken, vegetable, and keema matar, and the daily special was pork curry for 1150 yen. I ordered the daily special and chose naan from the three options of rice, half rice and half naan, and naan. The pork curry had large chunks of tender pork belly in the center. The curry was moderately spicy and had a smooth texture. The naan was small and thick. The pickled vegetables served as a nice accent and palate cleanser. The pork was incredibly tender and delicious, and I finished the meal completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Summary: The curry here is spicy and will make you sweat! You can enjoy both naan and rice with the half & half option. The restaurant is relatively quiet at night. In addition to curry, they have other appealing menu items as well. I visited this place for the first time before watching a sports event at the National Stadium at night. I was seated at the counter without much wait. I ordered the regular half chicken curry with half naan and half rice. The half & half option is great. The spice level in the chicken curry was stronger than what I usually have, but it was delicious. It truly lives up to being a renowned restaurant. Thank you for the meal.
