We went to a familiar family restaurant with my husband after 9 pm. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that the restaurant was filled with foreigners, almost to full capacity. The restaurant was spacious with a nice open feel by the windows. I wondered if there were not many places to eat around here, hence the large number of foreigners. I only had a salad since it was late. My husband ordered a set meal with hamburger and chicken, which came with a drink bar. The drink bar had a good selection and the coffee was delicious. Overall, it was the usual taste you would expect from a family restaurant.

I went to a restaurant with a variety of kids' menu options because my child wanted to eat omurice for their birthday. As soon as we sat down, they brought a toy for my child, which surprised me because I hadn't even ordered from the kids' menu yet! They gave presents to all the kids? Sorry, it's been years since I last visited Royal Host, so I didn't know about this! My younger child is 2 years old, so they got a free drink bar, and I added a drink bar for my 5-year-old. My kids are picky eaters, but they seemed to enjoy the food more than usual! In the meantime, I enjoyed a steak set with onion soup on the side. The food was incredibly delicious! Even the salad that came with it was amazing. It was better than going to a fancy but mediocre restaurant. However, my bill came out to be 3000 yen! I thought I could have had a course meal for that price, but I still want to enjoy good food outside with my kids, and Royal Host might be a good option for that! It dawned on me, a mother of two, a little late.

I visited around 18:40 and had to wait for about 15 minutes because it was the busiest time, but the turnover is good! I ordered the Cosmodoria and Angus beef salad. The consistent deliciousness of Royhō is just amazing!! I love it. By the way, the wait was resolved around 20:00.

I went for lunch! It was very crowded with people coming in constantly. Among several options, I chose this curry! I also ordered a dessert parfait! Even though I didn't order it, the Jawa curry here is always delicious. It was very tasty and I could relax.

Visited with my family. The prices at this family restaurant are on the higher side, but the taste is delicious! They don't offer discounts like salad bars or free refills, so some people may feel like it's not enough food, but the satisfaction of the taste is high! Also, the desserts look really delicious! ✨

The rating of the restaurant during the visit was 3.11. When I think of a high-class family restaurant, the first one that comes to mind is "Royal Host." It had been a while since my last visit. Looking at the menu, the prices are indeed high. I wanted to order the beef steak, but even for lunch, the customer price easily exceeds 3,000 yen (lol). So, I gave up on the expensive beef steak and went for the pork loin steak instead. The ginger butter sauce was similar to ginger pork flavor, and it went well with the rice. The pork was also 180g, so it was quite satisfying. I thought the cost performance was high for this. If you order the 180g loin cutlet, it would probably be over 1,500 yen. The pork steak is 1,298 yen! I thought Royal Host was synonymous with luxury, but when it comes to pork steak, it may be an exception. There are surprisingly many menu options at Royal Host, so there may be other high cost-performance menu items as well. I'm thinking of going back to find them.

Before work, I had breakfast at this place. The location is great, with parking available and close to Kyoto Station. The breakfast was a bit pricey at 1300 yen, but it was worth it as a treat. It was delicious!

After a long time, I visited Royal Host for breakfast, but it was already past 11 am and the regular menu was available. When I arrived around 11 am, the restaurant was about 80% full, probably due to the holiday. There were many families with small children. The menu here not only shows calories but also salt content, which is helpful. I ordered the Angus sirloin steak 100g & grilled lobster, and a small black x black hamburger set (tax included 2728 yen). You can choose from four types of steak sauce, and I chose grated ponzu. Although the portions were small, the main dishes were surprisingly delicious! The hamburger was small but plump, and when I cut it, the juices oozed out. It is more expensive than other family restaurants, but the taste justifies the price. Despite the large number of seats and customers (there was a long line of waiting customers when I left), there were too few staff members in the dining area, so service was a bit slow.

I wanted to try Royal Host, which has a slightly more upscale feel than other family restaurants. The interior was different from other family restaurants, with more men and women or older people. On this day, I ordered the garlic rice, which cost around 2000 yen. The vegetables served were frozen pumpkin and the rice in the garlic rice seemed to be clumped together without being fried well. The only tasty items were the eggplant and the main meat dish. I thought that if I were to pay this price, I should have gone to a different restaurant.

A restaurant located just northeast of Saikōji Temple. I visited for dinner for the first time. I ordered the Triple Grill Hamburger (Sausage, Chicken Grill) for 1298 yen including tax. I also got the drink bar set for 363 yen including tax. I was surprised by the excellent customer service provided by the staff. The hamburger was juicy with plenty of meat juice and packed with the deliciousness of the meat. The sausage and chicken grill used high-quality ingredients. They paired really well with the sauce. The drink bar was also great with a variety of options. Being able to drink from the pitcher as well made it feel like a good deal. I now want to try the steak on my next visit.

As a family restaurant, Royal Host gives off an impression that is about two levels above. The area around Horikawa Gojo seems to have fewer dining options, which may explain the relatively high number of customers.
- Black x Black Hamburger Lunch (1,408 yen)
This lunch features a 190g hamburger made with domestic black beef and black pork. You can choose from three types of sauce, and I opted for the "Garlic Cream Sauce with Garlic Aroma." The hamburger is of a quality that can rival specialty hamburger shops, with a strong taste of meat juices. You can taste the umami of the meat and the sauce pairs well with it. The simplicity of the sides, consisting of shoestring potatoes and corn butter, also helped enhance the hamburger.

Ordered the Jawa Curry from Royal Host. It has a nice kick to it and is a medium-spicy curry that never gets old no matter how many times you eat it. Jawa Curry is a must-have even when there are other curry options available. My family has always loved it, and we even have some stocked in our home freezer.

The restaurant was filled with only Japanese people due to the disappearance of inbound tourists. Feeling extremely hungry today, I opted for the highest quality seasonal menu. I ordered the CAB® sirloin steak with grilled large scallop & prawn for 2,780 yen plus tax. I also added a set with rice, salad, onion gratin soup, and dessert, making it a light dinner for about 4,000 yen. It seemed that the scallops were not from the Soya region as indicated. The smell of the bacon wrapped around them was too strong, making it seem like it wouldn't have made a difference even if they were from the Soya region. Due to the overwhelming popularity, we have received more orders than initially planned, so we are using scallops from Hokkaido instead of those from the Soya region.

I had dinner at Royal Host. I felt that they were handling the situation properly amidst the Corona crisis, so I decided to visit again. I ordered the Black x Black Hamburger Steak with a rich brown butter sauce as a regular set with soup and rice. The soup was delicious and the hamburger was quite juicy with a tasty sauce. I personally love when there's a fried egg on top of the hamburger, it's irresistible. If I have the chance to visit again, I might crave the hamburger once more.

I went to Royal Host with my family - my husband, daughter, and grandchild - to enjoy some sweets. The seating was carefully arranged with social distancing in mind. We ordered Caramel Brulee for 748 yen, Coffee Jelly Sundae for 638 yen, and Pancakes for 1628 yen (with parfait). I had the Coffee Jelly Sundae, and it was delicious. The menu also offers a variety of meal options, so it might be worth visiting again. Next time, I might consider getting takeout.

It was my first proper dining out in many months. I visited around 7 pm on Saturday. Perhaps due to the timing or the dinner peak on weekends, there was no waiting and the seats were about half empty. It was convenient as I wanted to avoid crowds. The order taker seemed like a new employee, accompanied by a trainer when they came to our table. I ordered stir-fried pork, vegetables, and kale in sweet vinegar sauce with a drink bar. There was order confirmation, but no explanation of the drink bar. I wondered why the trainer was there if they didn't explain. It was nice to see different drinks at the drink bar, not just the usual ones you find in family restaurants. The citrus juice was a bit weak, but the rich orange juice was delicious. The meal was tasty and worth the price. The portion was similar to the menu photos, which was good. I ordered dessert afterwards, changing the salted caramel ice cream to a different one. Only the trainer came to take the order, smoothly changing it to chocolate ice cream. My companion's pancake was served first, and I had to wait a long time for my order. It was quite a delay. Some delay is fine, but simultaneous serving is preferable, right? Nonetheless, the parfait was also delicious. I ended with a cafe au lait. There were more customers when I entered. The seating arrangement may not have been very conscious of social distancing. I will visit again.

I went for lunch on a regular day. The restaurant has a garage on the first floor and the store on the second floor. It's a spacious place with a variety of tables. The menu changes daily. The staff are professional and there are many foreign customers, which is reassuring. The staff are fluent in various languages and have a restaurant-like atmosphere. You can have lunch for ¥1000 and get change back. It's the best.

Today, I decided to visit Kyoto for a bit. I had about 2 hours of free time, so I went to the Royal Host Horikawa Gojo store, which has a free parking lot. I'm going to spend the next 2 hours writing a blog here. The place has spacious tables where you can relax. I ordered the onion gratin soup and the drink bar. I really think the onion gratin soup from Royal Host is delicious. I haven't had any onion soup better than this. The drink bar even had Japanese pear juice, which was also really tasty. I like that they have some unique options here. It definitely sets them apart from other family restaurants.

Today, I visited Kyoto, where the Gion Festival is in full swing from the morning. It's a bit cloudy and disappointing weather. The bustling streets of Kyoto have one-way traffic reversed, which is unusual. I tried having breakfast at the Royal Host Horikawa Gojo store. It's convenient that you can park your car here. If you use the store, you get 2 hours of free parking. I ordered the Deluxe Morning, which was full of vegetables and really good. It also came with a drink bar, so I could leisurely enjoy my coffee. Despite the weather, sitting at a spacious table by the window and having breakfast was a truly luxurious moment.

I went to this restaurant near Kyoto Station while waiting to pick up my parents' friends. It was almost full around 9 am, but I managed to get a seat. The atmosphere was nice and the menu had a variety of breakfast options. I ordered an Acai drink for myself and my parents ordered the breakfast set which came with a choice of salad or boiled egg. The Acai drink was surprisingly good, not too sour and had a nice vegetable taste. The breakfast set included thick toast with butter and jam, and my parents enjoyed it with their choice of sides. Overall, the restaurant was reasonably priced and had a good selection of food and drinks. It's a popular spot for a slightly fancy breakfast.
