Today's lunch was at "Asuka". It's an izakaya located in a corner of the Otoko-yama housing complex in Yahata City, near Otoko-yama Hospital. It has a somewhat suspicious appearance, but there is a parking lot in the back, so I visited out of curiosity. The interior is long and narrow with counter seats and irregular table seats. When I entered, people were already drinking and chatting away. As I sat down, one of them casually brought me a glass of water. It seems like the staff were engrossed in conversation with the customers. They offer a variety of set meals, including rice bowls and udon. I decided to go with the "Grilled Fish Set Meal (saury)" for 650 yen. There were some decorations that I didn't quite understand. The set meal that arrived seemed a bit lacking. It came with a proper miso soup and a small side dish of carrot kinpira. The grilled saury was thin and lacking in flesh. In terms of cost, it was a decent set meal, and the mysterious atmosphere of the restaurant added to the experience.
