I went to the famous Sekai no Yamachan in Nagoya for the first time! The tebasaki (chicken wings) were easy to eat, tender, and delicious! I really liked them. I was very satisfied with the hospitality that included instructions on how to eat tebasaki on the chopstick wrapper. Be careful, the spicy ones have a lot of black pepper (not hot spiciness). The other menu items were just as delicious, I wanted to try everything. I will definitely go back!

When I used to live in Nagoya, I often ate at Yamachan. I had a strong craving for it, so I decided to go to the Sanjo Kiya-cho store. Initially, I ordered more than just chicken wings, but in the end, it turned into a loop of chicken wings, beer, and cabbage. My family of four devoured 70 chicken wings, totaling 14 servings. It was a dinner where we were reminded of the greatness of Yamachan after a long time.

A few minutes' walk from Sanjo Station. I stopped by here today. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and traditional Japanese seating. The main menu consists of Nagoya-style dishes, including chicken wings. I ordered chicken wings, potato salad, and horse sashimi. Let's dig in! The chicken wings are flavorful and go well with beer, even though they can get messy to eat. The potato salad is not like the typical store-bought kind, it has a homemade feel. The horse sashimi is decent considering the price. For dessert, I ordered a noodle soup, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking, I would have preferred something spicier. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! They don't serve any complimentary appetizers, so it's also a good place for a casual drink in the area.

I forgot to mention that I visited this place last June (before the tax increase). I realized that Yamachan has disappeared from Hyogo prefecture. After finishing my errands in Kyoto, I decided to stop by. They have a wide variety of menu options, like a great family restaurant. I thought the prices listed were tax-inclusive, but they were actually tax-exclusive. The "Namero-style seafood miso" for 460 yen actually cost 496 yen with tax. It's almost the price of one meal with the Ramen Pass. With so many options on the menu, I struggled to decide what to order and ended up just getting a drink to save money. The Sichuan pepper mill was broken, so I couldn't get any pepper out. Maybe it's more enjoyable if you go with a family restaurant mindset. They offer a variety of dishes from Mexican to Taiwanese ramen, and even desserts. I remember that the "Taiwanese ramen toppings" I had before were delicious, so I didn't order them this time to try something new.

Starting from lunch time, I wonder how many restaurants I've been to already... (probably the 4th one...) There is still plenty of time, and I still have energy. Alright, let's go eat some chicken wings at Sekai no Yamachan. It's past 5 PM, so the restaurant is quiet. I ordered a highball and 10 chicken wings. I feel like I could eat more, but I might go to another restaurant later, so for now, I'll start with this. Let's cheers with the highball. Soon, the chicken wings arrive. Mmm, they're delicious no matter when you eat them. The spices are strong, and they go well with the alcohol. They're so tasty that you want to lick your fingers, but I resist. They're spicy and I feel like I could eat endless amounts. Next time, I'll sit down and try other dishes too. Thank you for the meal! (*^^)v

I waited even though there were empty seats. I thought maybe there weren't enough staff members, so they were adjusting the number of customers coming in. I waited for about 20 minutes. The prices were reasonable and the food was served quickly after ordering. The menu has a small selection with mostly fried dishes.

The menu was extensive but the cost performance may not be great. Compared to Torikizoku, the dishes were delicious! If you're a student, you might be better off going to Torikizoku.

After leaving the Spanish cider bar SIDRA, we visited "Sekai no Yamachan" located in Kawaramachi and Kiyamachi. We were curious about the "phantom tebasaki" they offer. It was around 6 o'clock and the restaurant was not crowded yet. Although the table seats were fully booked, we were able to sit at the counter. We ordered two beers, a dish called "Kumoko" as a starter, 5 pieces of phantom tebasaki, 3 pieces of black tebasaki, and grilled salted yellowtail collar. The phantom tebasaki was deep-fried and coated with curry powder, spices, and salt, giving it a strong salty and peppery taste. It went well with the beer but was a bit too salty for my liking. The black tebasaki was coated with Worcestershire sauce and had a firmer texture, which I found more delicious, although the seasoning was still too intense for me. Perhaps younger people may enjoy this level of seasoning. The highlights of the meal were the Kumoko for 500 yen and the grilled salted yellowtail collar for 500 yen. Especially the yellowtail collar was a generous portion that you don't often find in izakayas. It was very reasonably priced. However, I think I've had enough of tebasaki for now.

I knew that there is a famous restaurant called "Yamachan" in Nagoya and also in Sanjo Kiya-machi, but I had never had the chance to visit before. This was my first visit. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building. It was busy even though it was after 9 pm. Since the specialty of the restaurant is chicken wings, I naturally ordered the "Legendary Chicken Wings, 400 yen per person" for two people. The eating method for chicken wings is written on the chopstick bag. I learned about this eating method for the first time on a certain TV show. Since then, I have been eating them this way, putting all the meat in my stomach. I'm glad I learned about this. The chicken wings arrived after a short wait. I immediately tried eating them the way it was recommended. The seasoning is a bit spicy, but it goes well with beer. We quickly finished both servings. The atmosphere inside the restaurant gave me the impression that there were a lot of young students. The staff also seemed to be students. The lively and energetic atmosphere inside the restaurant was quite nice. Thank you for the meal.

I recently visited Sekai no Yamachan in Kiyamachi Sanjo, Kyoto, as I have been hooked on Hoppy lately. This place is known for its chicken wings and beer, which I usually enjoy during the summer. However, this time I decided to pair the chicken wings with Hoppy. There is a rule of "Sanrei" when it comes to serving Hoppy - the glass should be chilled, the shochu should be cold, and of course, the Hoppy itself should be cold. Unfortunately, the Hoppy was not properly chilled, as there was ice in the glass. Despite this, the chicken wings were delicious as always. The only disappointment was the "firefly squid sashimi" which was simply boiled and served with soy sauce. Overall, I may visit again in the future.

Recently, two branches opened in Kyoto, but they were too crowded to visit. However, as a big fan of chicken, I couldn't resist trying Nagoya's famous tebasaki (chicken wings). The tebasaki was crispy and fragrant, with a strong aroma of spices and a generous amount of pepper. Following the eating instructions provided in the restaurant, I dug in. The tebasaki had a unique seasoning that wasn't as overpoweringly spicy as expected, but rather added a nice accent to the flavor. It went perfectly with a cold beer. Although I only had one beer with tebasaki and cabbage that day due to time and stomach capacity constraints, I definitely want to come back for a proper drinking session. The menu besides tebasaki is also extensive and offers good value for money, making it a great place for drinks. I look forward to visiting again soon.

I had always been curious about Sekai no Yamachan, a famous izakaya chain in Japan. I was invited to a drinking party at this restaurant, so it was my debut at Sekai no Yamachan. I arrived a little late, but of course, my first order was the famous "Hinotori Tebasaki" (chicken wings) for 400 yen. The menu even had detailed instructions on how to eat them, which was impressive. Despite not reading the instructions and just eating them as I pleased, I was surprised at how easily the meat came off the bones. The taste was indeed delicious and went well with alcohol, although I can only drink beer. I also tried the "imo sui" (sweet potato shochu) for the first time, but I couldn't appreciate the taste. The staff recommended the "Oji no Karaage" (Prince's fried chicken), which was good. The "Zeitaku Ebisen" (luxury shrimp crackers) were tasty, but I couldn't quite grasp the luxury aspect. Lastly, the "takoyaki-style gyoza" was basically just takoyaki, which was amusing. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable time, and I look forward to hearing everyone else's reviews.

I found myself eating chicken at a place called Uchidosu, who is known as a Kyoto girl. Recently, I heard about a restaurant called Yamachan, so I decided to give it a try since it's nearby. When I looked at the menu, it was like a chicken paradise! And the prices were so cheap! The taste was not amazing, but it was decent. It's definitely better than going to some random izakaya. If you're not a fan of chicken, you might find it boring, but I thought it was good! The prices were really affordable. I didn't find any major flaws, so I gave it 3.5 stars. I'll definitely go back again.

I went to the newly opened Yamachan in Kyoto! When I visited Nagoya before, I didn't have time to go there. The chicken wings were delicious! They go perfectly with beer! I tried a beer called Ginga Kogen Beer, which was really tasty. There were many other types of alcohol available, but I only felt like drinking beer (laughs). We also had luxury shrimp senbei, ham katsu, cabbage salad, dotenabe, Nagoya Cochin chicken, and chicken meatballs with Nagoya Cochin. We went with three people, had three beers each, and it cost around 2800 yen. It was cheap, delicious, and satisfying!

A close friend from work told me, "Yamachan from that world has opened a restaurant in Kyoto!" They said it's not as spicy as the one in Nagoya, so I was curious to find out the truth! Finally, I decided to go check it out. This day was actually our third stop, as we had originally planned to visit the restaurant as our second stop, but due to the long wait time of 1 to 1.5 hours, we had to go to two other places first. The waiting area was crowded with people, and some customers had to write their names down and wait outside until they were called back in. After our first stop for a light meal at Teppan Mitsuki, and our second stop for galette and panna cotta at Cafe Chocolat in Sanjo Miyakomachi, we headed to Yamachan just before 9 pm. We were seated after a short wait at the counter. We started with some drinks - a shochu highball with lemon, an apricot liqueur sour, and the famous chicken wings. The chicken wings were indeed less spicy than the Nagoya version, but still delicious. The miso kushikatsu was tender and flavorful, and the cold tofu with ponzu sauce was a bit disappointing as it was cotton tofu instead of silk tofu. The cassis kwassar cocktail was a perfect blend of cassis and citrusy flavors. Despite already feeling full from our previous stops, the chicken wings were a highlight. Kyoto is a popular spot for foreign tourists, and the restaurant was no exception. It seemed like there were many chicken lovers among the visitors. Overall, it was a great dining experience at Yamachan in Kyoto.
