Pig's feet, what are they like? Driven by curiosity, I searched for a place around Kawaramachi where I could eat them, and I found one! It seems to be quite a long-established place. I arrived before opening hours, but they kindly let me in early saying, "We're still preparing, but if you'd like to come in..." Thank you very much. I ordered the pig's feet and grilled pork, which I had been wanting to try. I see, this is what they're like... It's definitely something that people who like it would absolutely love, but I couldn't eat a lot of it... I enjoyed the chijimi (Korean pancake) and pork kimchi, which were easy to eat and very delicious! The staff, especially the older brother, was very friendly. Maybe he's the manager? If you like pig's feet or pork offal, you would definitely be happy to keep coming back to this place!

I saw a photo of pig's feet on the signboard and decided to go in. I ordered pig's feet, tongue, harami (skirt steak) okonomiyaki, and rice. You can choose between miso sauce and salt sauce, so I chose salt for the tongue and miso for the harami. The pig's feet were tender and the bones easily fell off, very delicious. The soup had a strong salt flavor that went well with the rice. The miso sauce was also delicious and went well with the rice, making it easy to drink alcohol. The okonomiyaki was priced at ¥480, making it easy to order different types of meat with a group of people. Thank you for the meal.

I went on a weekday this time because it was full last time. I was looking forward to trying the famous simmered pig's feet. As expected, it was delicious and tender! I also tried grilling the neck with miso sauce for the first time, and it was delicious! The makgeolli was also tasty without any strong taste! I want to come back next time with about 4 people and try various dishes. It's great that it's close by since the main store is far away! The beer Red Star is also good!

The local favorite restaurant, Marumiya Tei, known for its "mushi pork" and pig's feet, reopened a pork offal yakiniku restaurant after 30 years, causing a buzz. Their specialty "mushi pork" comes in two types: lean cuts like loin, and tender boiled head meat. Both are flavorful and easy to eat as excess fat has been removed. They use Kyoto-produced pork, offering over 10 different cuts including rare parts like comekami, bonnokubo, and chimaki. The menu includes items like tongue (590 yen), skin-on pork belly (690 yen), and mushi pork (490 yen). Pork is so delicious! 🐷💕

I had heard of "Marumiya" in Higashi-Kujo before but had never been there. This time, I was able to visit the restaurant for the first time. There were only four people in a family and one other group of customers. We ordered harami, teppou, pig's feet, and beer. Personally, I know a really amazing yakiniku restaurant, so I wasn't too impressed, but I thought the harami was really good. If you like teppou, "Asoko" is the best, and for simmered pig's feet, another place is great. However, the pig's feet here had a "gentle flavor" to them! For those who have never tried pig's feet, I think it's quite recommended. The restaurant didn't seem too busy, so maybe it's not very popular among the locals around here. However, the prices are reasonable and not bad overall. The prices for harami and teppou were also cheap, and my total bill was less than 2000 yen. I think the food is great, but I wonder if they can survive with this. Maybe it's better for them to just quietly operate in Higashi-Kujo. The taste is good, but I wonder if the lack of popularity and location are obstacles. I recommend the harami and pig's feet!

This is the first time I've had such elegant pork! I had it all with just salt, but there was no smell at all... in fact, the saltiness was rather mild, surprising. It's a rare, adult-oriented restaurant. I will definitely visit again!

The tongue with salt, Mimi-pon vinegar, harami, and salted cabbage were particularly delicious. We also ordered various items such as teppanyaki and pork belly with skin. There are two types of seasoning, salt and seasoned, but we left the seasoning choice to the staff at the restaurant.

Congratulations on the opening of Marumiya-tei in Kawaramachi-Oike, Kyoto. It may be difficult to visit the store in Kujo, so it was nice to be able to easily visit this location for a pre-opening taste test. Congratulations! In Kansai, there may not be many opportunities to eat pork hormone in yakiniku, but once you try it, you will surely think "this is so delicious." And it's cheap. I used to be a beef lover, but my perception has changed. I tried ★Chanja★Napa cabbage kimchi★Bean sprout namul with salt sauce★Pork tongue★Pork forehead★Bon-no-kubo (fatty part) with sauce★Teppo★Heart★Tripe★Pork belly with skin and sauce, which all went great with rice. It had a nostalgic feel of traditional yakiniku and was quite satisfying.
