Tired of the crowded streets of the night in Kyoto, I finally made it to Pontocho. I enjoyed some Japanese sake to reset my body. #KyotoChic #KyotoChicJunmaiGinjo #SasakiSakeBrewery #HanedaJunmaiUnfilteredFreshSake #HanedaBrewery #JapaneseSake #LoveJapaneseSake #SakeLover #japanesesake #japanesesake #japanesesakelover

I casually walked in for the first time. Three appetizers were served, so I thought about ordering something else, but for now, I ordered the spicy chili pepper and enjoyed a tasting of the landlady's recommended three types of sake. I forgot the name of one, but it was a light and refreshing sake.

The night in Pontocho alone is exciting. I was looking for a place to eat Kyoto-style obanzai and found the perfect restaurant. It was a great place for sake lovers. Every dish was delicious. From eggplant with karasumi to pickles, just looking at the menu was like experiencing Kyoto. The pickles were truly Kyoto-style, they were amazing. The sake flowed freely and it was a wonderful place to immerse oneself in the charm of Kyoto. The sake recommended by the straightforward proprietress was impressive. It was delicious.

I visited in February, and it seems that the content of the shop changed a little while ago, so it's quite different from the previous reviews. Now, it has become a shop for obanzai (Kyoto-style home cooking) and Kyoto's Japanese sake. In particular, the set of comparing nine kinds of sake is wonderful! They serve about half a cup of each of the nine kinds of sake, so you can compare and enjoy various flavors. The landlady's talk is also interesting, and I visited every day during my trip♪

A cozy and warm restaurant serving delicious oden with a gentle flavor. It has a bright and beautiful atmosphere, offering tasty Kyoto sake and dishes. It's a hidden gem that you might easily pass by without noticing. I don't want anyone to know about it, I want it to remain a secret. The restaurant has a casual yet sophisticated vibe, with a limited number of seats that are usually filled, so it's better to make a reservation. I recommend trying the draft wine, sake, and oden. I also want to leisurely enjoy other sake not listed on the menu.
