Arrived on Sunday at 11:40 AM. It's sunny and hot, with a line of over 20 people. The sidewalk is scorching under the sun. This place has a fast turnover, so I decided to wait. There are many female customers as well. It's so hot that I'm already sweating before eating. I ordered 2 slices of pork with half a boiled egg ramen for 980 yen from the ticket machine. Last time, I added quail eggs for free and went all out with extra toppings, which left me feeling really full. This time, I asked for a few vegetables, garlic, and extra fat, which was served on a separate plate. The ramen was served in just 40 minutes after lining up. The portion of pork is amazing as always! The thick slices of lean pork are incredibly tender. They taste much better than the pork I had last time! I ate the crunchy vegetables with black pepper and fat. The noodles are firm and delicious. They don't absorb much soup. The soup, rich in pork broth with a hint of sweetness, is not too salty but has a strong savory flavor. The garlic adds a wild kick! The generous portion of pork made it quite challenging towards the end, even with a few extra vegetables. While many Jiro-inspired ramen shops may not match up in terms of cost performance, this place offers great value for money! Once again, I enjoyed a delicious meal and left feeling stuffed. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I've been feeling down due to injuries and fatigue affecting my overall health. When this happens, the best way to recharge my energy is to head to Edomondo without a doubt. After purchasing my meal ticket, I joined 7 others in line. I waited for about 20 minutes before being seated at the most unlucky counter seat right by the door, where I felt the direct draft and the air conditioning was ineffective. Oh well, it can't be helped. About 25 minutes after lining up, my bowl of ramen arrived. I ordered it with garlic. The moment a strong gust from the oscillating fan behind me hit, I took a sip and instantly felt alive! I enjoyed my meal by savoring it slowly, trying to combat my excessive sweating. Despite that, those around me were sweating buckets halfway through the meal. The noodles, pork, garlic, oil, vegetables... everything was of consistent quality. It was truly delicious, and I finished every last bit. In times like these, health comes second. My injuries and fatigue disappeared as I felt energized. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

It was a regular holiday routine to visit the ramen shop that I had been wanting to go to for a long time but couldn't. I drove there for my first visit and ordered the Ramen Buta with 2 and a half slices of pork, garlic, and an additional topping of onions for 100 yen. The ramen seemed to belong to the Fujimaru style category. The soup was rich and had a slightly emulsified texture. The noodles were firm but surprisingly thin and easy to slurp. The pork slices were thick, tender, and delicious, although I felt that 2 slices of pork were a bit too much. There was a boiled egg included, which was a nice touch. It was tasty, but I found the emulsified soup to be quite intense, perhaps due to my age. It was lunchtime, but I was able to get in without much of a wait, which was nice.

Date of visit: September 10, 2023 (Saturday) Time of visit: 10:40 Number of people in line when visited: 14 Opening time: 11:00 Number of people in line at opening: about 20 Visited a popular Jiro-style ramen shop where a line had already formed before opening. Bought a meal ticket as the seats were just filled in front of me and waited for a while. Once a seat opened up, I was guided to it by a staff member and sat down. Immediately after sitting down, the staff called out the order at a fast pace. Ordered without garlic. The soup was a thick, emulsified one with a strong sweetness. The richness of the oil was incredibly delicious. However, lately, I've been feeling that the emulsified soup is a bit heavy... The two slices of pork were large and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The noodles were firm with a strong wheat flavor that paired well with the emulsified soup. The vegetables were crunchy with plenty of bean sprouts. A boiled egg sat in the middle. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

A Jiro-style ramen restaurant in Nishi-Nippori. The soup is slightly sweet with a gentle, Japanese-style dashi flavor. The meat is tender and falls apart easily. In addition to the regular serving of 330g, you can also choose a smaller portion of 220g or half the amount, making it a very reasonable option for a Jiro-style restaurant. I got the "extra everything" option and it was quite a large portion, haha. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Ramen (half portion of noodles 220g, a little garlic) for 880 yen. I wanted to eat Jiro-style ramen but couldn't eat a lot, so half portion of noodles was just right. Maybe even a third would be enough. The restaurant had game and anime character pictures on the walls, and for some reason, there were Famicom cartridges covered in plastic hanging from the ceiling.

I have been to numerous Jiro-style ramen shops, including the original chain, and I believe it is the best. The noodles are just right - not too thick, not too hard, simply perfect. The flavor is strong and the pork is delicious. I don't think any other ramen can compare.

Delicious! The meat was not sliced by pieces, but rather thick like one or two pieces. For first-time visitors, it's really important to be aware that the portion size is unusually large, so it's better for regular eaters to only eat half. After 12 PM, there will be a sudden long line.

When I look at everyone's reviews, I feel like eating Jiro-style ramen. So today, I went to Edomondo. I ordered with half noodles, extra lard, and garlic. This amount is just right for me. It was reliably delicious. You buy a meal ticket and then line up to order.

I arrived at the restaurant with my junior colleague for lunch and noticed that the line was getting ridiculously long, so we got there at 10:20 and people started lining up beyond the capacity by around 10:40. We finally got in at 11:00. I had 1/3 Ramen with an extra slice of pork, garlic, and slightly sweetened oil. The soup was packed with the delicious flavor of pork, the pork was tender, and the vegetables were crunchy. The oil dressing on the vegetables and the combination of vinegar, caramel, and seven spice with the raw egg were amazing. The noodles had the perfect firmness, providing a satisfying chewiness that blended well with the soup. It was a fantastic meal. Just a side note, it would be nice if the tables were slightly bigger. Thank you for the meal! When we left, there were about 20-25 people waiting in line.

In late August, it's still hot during lunchtime... I visited for an energy boost. I had 1/3 portion of ramen with raw egg. I ordered a little bit of vegetables (extra) with garlic and oil. The call for toppings is slightly different from Jiro-style, so I recommend doing some research beforehand. I arrived early and added black pepper, ginger vinegar, chili pepper, and caramel to the raw egg. The soup was sweet and emulsified, and the noodles were firm. I ate the vegetables separately with oil and caramel. The pork was so tender that it crumbled with just chopsticks. Each seasoning had a punch, allowing for a wide range of flavor changes. Sesame, Sichuan-style seasonings, and more could provide a different experience. Thank you for the meal today!

Today is the day for Edomondo! This is my 6th visit to Edomondo in Nishi-Nippori! Visit date: 2023.08.13 (Sun) Cloudy with rain later, 28°C, 100% humidity. It's Sunday, but I have to work! After work, it's ramen time! There's a typhoon coming, but hopefully it won't rain...? The humidity is 100%, it feels like a sauna, very uncomfortable. Now, I'm heading to Edomondo! I try to visit when there's a BABYMETAL live concert, but last time I went to the 2nd store in Nakano in March, so it's been about a year since I visited the Nishi-Nippori store. Let's go! It's located just 1-2 minutes walk from Nishi-Nippori station. Oh, there are about 15 people waiting outside! The system is to buy the ticket after passing a certain point, so I join the end of the line. The line slowly moves forward, and once you pass this stand, you can buy the ticket. So, I enter the store to buy the ticket. I order "Ramen <Half> with 2 pork slices and half egg". I wait in line while reviewing the free toppings and other information. After about 25 minutes, I'm called in and seated. The ramen has a rich pork flavor in the soup, thick homemade noodles, tasty pork slices, and half a boiled egg. The pork slices are delicious and there are at least 3 slices in the bowl. The soup is slightly thick with a hint of back fat floating on top. The noodles are thick and chewy with a nice wheat flavor. The toppings are great with seasoned pork and a half boiled egg. I finish the meal, it was delicious! Thank the staff and leave the restaurant. It was a great experience, the quality is always consistent at Edomondo in Nishi-Nippori.

I have been to Fuji Maru 3 shops multiple times and this is a restaurant that I think is "delicious". I arrived at the shop on Saturday at 11:15 and there were already about 20 people lined up. But the turnover is good. I waited in line for about 20 minutes, and as soon as I sat down, they asked, "Would you like garlic?" There are clear signs on the outside wall of the shop, on the ticket machine, and inside the shop, making it easy to understand. There are many young people, and table seats are also available, so there is no intense atmosphere typical of Jiro. The amount of noodles is divided on the ticket, so it's beginner-friendly. The staff were also friendly, which was nice. As for the taste: ✔︎Soup: Delicious. The essence of Fuji Maru inspiration. It's strong but smooth because it's emulsified. The compatibility with garlic is amazing. ✔︎Noodles: Chewy. It's a bit firm, so those who like al dente may find it a bit different. It's nice that the regular serving is 350g. ✔︎Vegetables: This is also a point where you can see the influence of Fuji Maru. It's chewy and excellent. ✔︎Pork: The taste of the pork varies depending on the cut. There were 2 pieces, one was meaty and delicious, and the other was 80% fat. Both were delicious. It's located within the Yamanote Line, close to the station, and being able to eat Fuji Maru-style from lunchtime is the best. Thank you for the meal!

This is the second branch of the famous Chuka Soba Izuru known for their dried fish ramen at the main gate, right? This is a G-style restaurant! Inspired by Fujimaru, the soup looks similar because it is emulsified, but the taste is different. The ramen has a rich tonkotsu soup with a strong sweetness of pork and a very intense salty flavor. The noodles are low-hydration flat noodles with a strong wheat flavor, very delicious. The seasoned crunchy vegetables are tasty on their own, but dipping them in the fat separately makes them even better. It's a bit disappointing that the amount of vegetables is a bit modest, even though you can add more like at Fujimaru. Nevertheless, the default amount of noodles is generous, and the rich and thick ramen with a unique taste was very delicious.

The Jiro-style ramen shop near the station in eastern Tokyo was very high quality and satisfying. Despite the high prices, the generous portions and attentive service made it well worth it. You can choose the amount of noodles, and they adjust the amount of chashu accordingly, which is amazing. The wild yet refined impression may be from the Kimihan lineage. Everything tasted fresh, the service was great, and it's easy to see why it's so popular. Next time, I'll definitely try the extra fatty option.

Today, I visited Edomondo, which is said to be a famous shop inspired by the Fujimaru and Jiro ramen styles. When I arrived at 10:40, there was already one person in line. By 10:50, there were about 8 people in line, and by the opening time of 11 o'clock, there were around 15 people in line. It might be a good idea to line up around 10:50 for the best time efficiency. I ordered the ramen with less noodles (2 slices of pork, half a boiled egg) because Fujimaru-style ramen tends to have a large portion. I handed over my meal ticket and waited while drinking water. The noodles were thick and cooked quickly in hot water, so I received my bowl of ramen in about 5 minutes. My usual order is with extra vegetables, garlic, and oil. First, I tried the soup, which had a nice mild flavor with good emulsification. The vegetables were soft and didn't have a crunchy texture, which paired well with the soup. The noodles were indeed firm, but not overly so considering the short cooking time in hot water. I personally prefer softer noodles, but these were still good. When eaten together with the vegetables, soup, noodles, and chashu pork, the balance was perfect and very delicious! Among the Fujimaru-style Jiro-inspired ramen, I think this shop is of a very high standard. Personally, I would rate it one level above No.11. The portion with less noodles was just right and filled me up nicely! Thank you for the meal! When I left the shop around 11:20, there were about 15 people waiting outside, so I recommend going before the opening time.

The portion is large and the flavor is rich and delicious. From the third bite, it's like a training session, eating desperately, desperately, desperately. In the end, you feel like a sumo wrestler with a full stomach. It's a shame that it's hot, but if you like junk food, it's worth it.

Ramen (2 slices of pork, half egg) with less toppings for 980 yen, plus quail egg for 100 yen and raw egg for 50 yen. Ordered with extra vegetables, a little garlic, and extra oil on the side. The soup had a strong and delicious flavor from the start. It tasted great when mixed with the oil and egg throughout. It was enjoyable until the end, although one of the pork slices was a bit dry, which was a bit disappointing.

A unique ramen shop with retro Super Famicom BGM playing, serving Jiro-style ramen with a lack of salt. The noodles are light, with extra vegetables, garlic, and fat on the side. The soup and chashu are salty, and the noodles have a good chewy texture. Perfect for the summer, with slightly wilted vegetables. The attentive staff make the dining experience pleasant. A satisfying Jiro-style ramen with a good amount of food.

Visited the restaurant for the first time in about 3 weeks. I had the Ramen with 1 and a half slices of pork for ¥880, added a raw egg for ¥50, and extra garlic. For the raw egg, I added ginger vinegar, black pepper, and caramel. The ramen had tender and juicy pork with plenty of lean meat, perfectly cooked noodles with a nice firmness, and delicious vegetables. Today, on Sunday, there was a wait of 16 people (including those at the front) at 10:40 am. The taste, pork, and vegetables are always consistent and satisfying. I listened to Diamond Head's Pipeline, smoked a cigarette, and returned home. Thank you for the meal today.
