I wanted to have a meal that was cheap, simple, and where I could also have a little bit of alcohol. My boyfriend mentioned that he had never been to Toriki before, so we decided to visit for the first time. Even though it was early, the restaurant was almost full. It's amazing how popular it is, considering there are about three other similar restaurants nearby. The sight of many people sitting in the long and narrow restaurant is truly impressive. Toriki definitely has outstanding stability. It seems like they are focusing on using domestic ingredients, as I noticed more working women in addition to students. Every time I visit, there are new menu items available, and as a woman, I appreciate the variety of drink options. I always order the kawa salt, as it is my favorite. It comes with plenty of kawa and is a delightful drink for those who enjoy alcohol. The kettle rice is also a must-try. The crispy rice at the bottom is delicious as a finishing touch. Since it takes time to cook, I always make sure to order it at the beginning. Although Toriki is now a common restaurant chain, each location seems to be thriving. As a Toriki enthusiast who frequents the restaurant, I hope they continue to be an attractive place in the future.

I often use this place because of its convenient location and late opening hours. The lively atmosphere of the downtown area is always energizing! Although Torikizoku can be found in any downtown area nowadays, the consistent deliciousness is unbeatable. Everything is 280 yen, including Yamazaki Highball! Some may think, "If it's 280 yen, the portion must be small," but in reality, it's quite satisfying. One hidden gem at Torikizoku is their cabbage. When I went with a university student part-timer, we ordered cabbage. The part-timer asked the staff for sesame oil and mayonnaise. I was puzzled, but when they arrived, we found that adding them to the cabbage made it a perfect palate cleanser. Since cabbage is all-you-can-eat at Torikizoku, it's possible to fill up on cabbage alone! Even though I'm not particularly interested, as someone of a certain age, I think I'll try it as a variation for a palate cleanser while enjoying yakitori.

Around 5:30 pm on a weekday, I visited Torikizoku with my high school student nephew whom I hadn't seen in a while. Despite there being only one other group of customers, we were seated right behind them. Even though there were plenty of empty table seats, we were directed to a cramped seat next to a pillar. The skewers we ordered were all overcooked and dry, lacking juiciness. None of them stood out as particularly delicious. The grilled chicken cartilage, in particular, was not tasty. The shochu we ordered with water was too diluted, lacking the taste of alcohol. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, leaving used plates and glasses on the table without clearing them. I will visit a different Torikizoku location next time.

After playing at night, I felt hungry so I decided to go to Torikizoku, which is open late at night. It was my first time going to Torikizoku. The staff were friendly and I let my friend order some skewers for us. I liked that we could get unlimited cabbage refills for free. The cabbage was crunchy and delicious! The skewers came in pairs, were cheap but had a good amount of food. The cartilage was tasty. For dessert, we had Torikizoku ice cream, which had a nostalgic milk flavor. It was cheap and we could eat until we were full.

I heard a rumor that a new store opened in Koyamachi offering all items for half price at 140 yen, and I couldn't miss this opportunity, so I rushed over. Despite it being shortly after opening, there was a long line! Finally, I got in and ordered a 140 yen draft beer and some 140 yen yakitori. As expected, they were delicious. I thought it would be great if they held events like this once a month.

I found out about this restaurant after it became news. Since there are no stores in Kyushu, I visited while on a trip to Kyoto. The price of 280 yen (excluding tax) for two yakitori skewers felt expensive to me as a Kyushu person, but considering the size of the skewers and the location in Kyoto, I thought it was reasonable. Everything was delicious and had good portions, the side menu was also good, and there was a wide variety of drinks! It was also great that everything was domestically produced! I ate until I was full and it only cost me 3000 yen, so I am satisfied. There are only table and counter seats, so it would have been even better if there were tatami seats! Next time, I would like to try it and compare it with Jiro's.

It goes without saying that Torikizoku is an outstanding restaurant with great value for money, easy access, and low threshold for operating hours, making it a popular and affordable place. It is conveniently located in the middle of Shijo and Sanjo in Kiyamachi. The atmosphere inside is always lively with customers, making it easy to walk in. While the clientele is mostly young people, there are also many foreigners, adding to the bustling atmosphere. The food and drinks are all decent and can be enjoyed without any issues. The fact that all dishes and drinks are priced at 280 yen is truly amazing. It's cheap, good quality, and nothing tastes bad. Even the strap is 280 yen (laughs). Personally, I'm happy with the Yamazaki Highball for 280 yen. I often use it for second rounds, and this time was no exception. It's a reliable and convenient place to visit, with a strategic approach that is impressive. I will continue to rely on this place in the future.

In the area around Kawaramachi and Kiyamachi, the number of stores open until morning has decreased significantly compared to the past. However, the reliable Torikizoku is open until 5 am. The Kiyamachi Street store is the newest in the Kawaramachi and Kiyamachi area. When it first opened, there were long lines in the evening, which was surprising. I visited around 2 am, without any lines. Upon entering the store, the staff immediately asked, "How many people?" and then informed us of the sold-out items. The main selling point of Torikizoku, the unlimited cabbage refills, was sold out, but it was not a big deal. The menu and seating are clean and user-friendly, and the menu is well thought out for drinking (the hard and narrow chairs are probably part of their strategy). The grilled chicken thigh and breast skewers, hormone with green onion and ponzu sauce, and pickled eggplant were all satisfying. It's great that you can get Premium Malt or Yoshikoh Takarayama at this price. They promptly cleared away empty dishes. However, we noticed that some young groups of people who came in while we were dining left without being seated, even though there were empty tables, due to explanations about sold-out items or age verification at the front. The way the staff at the front counter directly face you as you enter, blocking the narrow passage leading to the back, might make inexperienced customers feel a bit intimidated. Perhaps due to the location and time, there are many complicated customers, but shouldn't customers who come during non-peak times be welcomed by the restaurant? I couldn't help but feel a bit doubtful about the behavior of the staff. I don't want to be confrontational, but it made me wonder.笑

I think it opened last year, right? A new place near my workplace opened and whenever I feel like eating yakitori, I frequently go there. It's open late and easy to drop by, which is great! The prices are reasonable as everyone knows (^-^) And the best part is you can drink Suntory Yamazaki at this price! That alone makes it worth going! It's convenient for a quick meal or for 2nd or 3rd rounds of drinks! It's also nice that there are many branches. I'll definitely go back again! Thank you for the meal!

A convenient restaurant where you can order what you want to eat without worrying about money. I don't drink alcohol at all in private, but I like izakaya and go there quite often. When deciding where to go, I often end up at Torikizoku. It's a satisfying chain restaurant. I would be very happy if they had a better selection of desserts! Also, although it's called Tori (bird) Kizoku, it would be nice if they had a few seafood options too. Sorry for the pun!

Stuffed bell peppers with meat are delicious! The portions are big, and the price is the same!
