Friday 19:07 I visited Furichi-an. The store was not too busy at this time, and as I strolled around looking at the showcases, I was actively approached by various voices offering discounts. I ended up impulsively buying a chirashi sushi (shrimp) for 648 yen (discounted from 948 yen). I'm not very familiar with sushi in Kansai, so I was admiring the sushi at Furichi-an when I suddenly saw a significant discount right in front of me, so I ended up buying it. Behind me, a line started to form as people noticed the discount. When I got home, I found the chirashi sushi had a unique sweetness to it. I accepted it as delicious. The sushi had plenty of ingredients like shrimp, lotus root, egg, cucumber, and sweet fish powder, making it enjoyable to eat. Next time, I'll buy a variety of sushi. Thank you for the delicious sushi. Thursday 19:10 I passed by again and bought a bento box. I got the Oyster Chirashi Sushi for 972 yen, with a 200 yen discount probably due to the time of day. I love oysters, so I couldn't resist buying it. It's easy to eat with the addition of egg, and it's a bento box that can be enjoyed. I would like to come back to buy seasonal chirashi sushi. Thank you for the meal.

Hello everyone! It's late, but July has arrived, and the rainy season is in full swing with a lot of rain. I saw some unbelievable footage of Atami on TV... My thoughts are with those affected. I hope everyone stays safe and doesn't experience any disasters. December, Day 3, Kyoto, Takeout. Tomorrow, I'm heading back to Sendai, so I decided to get some souvenirs at Takashimaya in Shijo Kawaramachi during the day. For some reason, I also bought some food for dinner from "Furuiichi-an"♪, the onigiri specialist. I bought 5 onigiri from the Haru Haru series (I'll introduce them in the next review, along with 2 okowa). I thought it would be enough, but after eating delicious dishes from Okamoto-san, my brain and stomach were probably in boost mode. In the end, I ate everything and it still wasn't enough, haha. Thank you for the meal!

The "scattered sushi" looked so delicious that my darling and I bought "2 servings" from 【Furuiichi-an】 (a shop in the department store basement that is good for sharing, lol). ///Order Details/// ☆Autumn Mix Sushi ☆Scattered Sushi /////////////// The vinegar was just right, and it was really delicious! My husband was, of course, very happy ( ̄∀ ̄)

I purchased a light meal at the Takashimaya Kyoto store located in the basement floor directly connected to Kawaramachi Station. I bought beef shigure and red salmon slices. Now, let's try them! First, the red salmon. The rich flavored salmon goes well with the slightly salty rice and tastes delicious. It's definitely worth the price. The beef shigure has a mature taste with wasabi in the rice, giving it a spicy kick. Personally, I preferred this one. So, thank you for the meal! The taste is good, but the size is only about two-thirds of a convenience store onigiri, so two pieces were not enough.笑

"I went to Takashimaya yesterday. After finishing shopping, I headed to the basement as usual. Since I had a greasy meal for lunch, I wanted something light and refreshing for dinner. As I passed by Furuiichi-an, I saw Osaka sushi and Naniwa sushi neatly displayed. I thought this would be a light and refreshing option, so I bought some. The bite-sized sushi had the perfect balance of vinegar in the rice and saltiness in the fish. Just as I expected, it was light and refreshing. I will definitely go back to buy more."

The onigiri shop "Onigiri Hatake Harehare" is located next to the plum blossom shop Furuiichian, and it seems to be part of the same group. I bought four onigiri from there, and they all looked delicious. The texture of the onigiri is something I really like! The onigiri with baby shiitake mushrooms has a nice texture with the chewiness of the mushrooms. The five-grain hijiki onigiri has a satisfying texture with the grains of rice, and the hijiki is plump and flavorful. The sesame onigiri has a delicious nutty aroma that I could get addicted to. The mixed vegetable onigiri has a strong flavor and moist rice. I love that it's not dry at all. There are many different types of kombu onigiri, and the salmon onigiri has thick slices of salmon rolled up! The onigiri here are really impressive. My favorite☆

When I went to Takashimaya to buy clothes, I suddenly remembered someone saying "bring back some onigiri~". I could have gone to a convenience store, but I thought they would have them in the food section here! It is listed as Naniwa Furuiichi-an on Tabelog, but now it is called "Naniwa Furuiichi-an / Onigiri Hata Hare Hare~ Tan to~". I bought chicken rice (130 yen), spicy miso eggplant pickles (130 yen), red salmon with pickled vegetables (195 yen), and chicken soboro kinshi (130 yen). The onigiri was made with Koshihikari rice from Uonuma, and it was light and delicious with tasty fillings. The prices were also reasonable. Since I might have more chances to go to Takashimaya, if someone gives me another order...

Here is an onigiri from "Koichian" that I sometimes buy when I go to Takashimaya. In addition to onigiri, they also have bento boxes and sushi. I love the shrimp tempura (around 150 yen) and mushrooms. I miss eating in Nagoya... I also like mushrooms. The mushrooms stood out in this lightly seasoned onigiri. I also tried the chicken rice and kimpira (each around 140 yen). The kimpira was thinly sandwiched inside. The chicken rice had classic ingredients and was well seasoned. Rice is so good.

I had always known about a shop that sells cheap sushi packs, but I had a preconception that cheap means low quality, so I never felt like buying from there. A few days ago, while wandering around Takashimaya looking for something for lunch, I decided to give it a try and bought a 766 yen sushi pack from that shop. It contained pressed sushi with conger eel, egg and shrimp, and three types of rolled sushi. The rice wasn't as bad as I expected, and the quality of the conger eel and shrimp was decent. The rolled sushi had a variety of ingredients like thick omelette, conger eel, cucumber, tofu skin, crab stick, squid, flying fish roe, pickled radish, sesame seeds, and more. While I can't say it was absolutely delicious, considering the price and the variety of ingredients, I was satisfied. It was actually tastier than I had imagined. It might be worth trying once in a while.

I bought some sushi rolls at Naniwa Shoichian in the basement of Kyoto Takashimaya before returning home from Kyoto. The bustling atmosphere of the closing time in the department store basement was overwhelming. I couldn't find the thick sushi rolls as they were already sold out, so I settled for regular sushi rolls. I enjoyed them on the train, even though it may not have been the most proper way to eat. Sushi rolls are always delicious, and I always look forward to discovering the fillings inside. The express train on the Hankyu Kyoto Line had seats facing the direction of travel, similar to a Shinkansen, which made it easy to enjoy my sushi on the train. I forgot to take a picture, but it was a delicious meal.

During the cherry blossom viewing season, I went to Maruyama Park and got lost while wandering around the department store basement. In the end, I decided to have sushi at Furichi-an. There were many options, but I chose the crab sushi and the Namba sushi assortment. The assortment had various small pressed sushi pieces that looked beautiful and offered a variety of flavors. It was perfect as a snack to accompany drinks during cherry blossom viewing. The crab sushi was large and satisfying. Eating under the cherry blossoms made the food taste even better. It's nice to eat outside when the weather is good. They also provide ice packs, so it's okay to carry the sushi around for a while.

When I went to see a play at Kyoto Minami-za, I stopped by Takashimaya to find something to eat during intermission. There were many shops to choose from, but I noticed this sushi place. I bought the "Hamo pressed sushi" set of 2 for 1050 yen and one piece for 600 yen, which my friend and I shared. It was my first time trying "Hamo pressed sushi" and it was delicious. It had a stronger flavor compared to eel. The rolled sushi had plenty of fillings and I thought it was a great deal for the price. The taste was a bit strong, but it was just right to eat without soy sauce. I plan to continue buying this as a snack for future theater visits.

I visited in the early afternoon on a weekday. The traditional Japanese sweets section was crowded, but the deli area was empty. I love the uzushio maki from Furuiichi-an, but the onigiri here was quite small and felt overpriced. It was tasty but difficult to eat, so overall, I'm not sure if I would come back.

Kyoto is a sushi and onigiri shop located in the basement of Takashimaya. Due to the summer heat, I had no appetite so I decided to get some onigiri to go. There were many different kinds lined up, all of them moist and delicious. It was nice that they were bite-sized, like the classic umeboshi and salmon with egg.

Walking around Kawaramachi during lunchtime, everywhere was crowded to the point where I felt bad for intruding as a solo diner. It was so lively because it's spring and the weather outside was really nice, making everyone want to go out. Since I had a busy schedule, I decided to just enjoy an onigiri on a park bench. I resisted going into a convenience store as a small act of defiance. The onigiri was really small, about a quarter of the size of a convenience store one, with fillings like sweet potato, shrimp tempura, and salmon roe. It cost around 200 yen each, not cheap, but that's my weakness. The quantity was small, but it was satisfying. If you want to fill your stomach, a bento might be better. It even came with a small hand towel.

Souvenir~ and another gift. As soon as I took it out of the bag, I thought "How cute~" ❤ Naniwa Sushi Assortment... pressed sushi? boxed sushi? Various types of sushi cut into bite-sized pieces and packed tightly in the box. Depending on the topping, the sushi rice may have sesame seeds or pickled vegetables sandwiched in between, so it's never boring to eat + the colorful and cute appearance makes it perfect as a gift. The fish includes crab, shrimp, conger eel, mackerel, and more, along with vegetables. Maybe pickled mustard greens? I had only tried it as a pickled vegetable before, but this was quite good. A refreshing scent comes through your nose (^∇^) It also came with soy sauce, but it was just as satisfying without it!

It has been a while since the person I call my second father visited, and we had plans to have lunch together. However, my father had some errands in the morning, so we were planning to wait at home. But my uncle bought some food and brought it to our house. It was from a shop that I had often seen in the department store basement but had never purchased from before. When my father returned home, we all enjoyed the food. The items we received were: - Osaka Sushi x 2 (for father and uncle) - Naniwa Sushi x 2 (for mother and me) About the food: - Osaka Sushi: A set of rolled sushi, anago pressed sushi, and three different types of boxed sushi. - Naniwa Sushi: A set of over 10 different types of boxed sushi, with various ingredients such as shrimp, crab, mackerel, egg, anago, takana, shiso, salmon, kohada, and isono, garnished with yuzu and kinome. Overall, the Naniwa Sushi was from a shop in Fukuoka, and despite the small size of the boxes, they were packed tightly and had a satisfying texture. The taste was normal, but considering the price, it was surprisingly affordable. The variety of flavors kept it interesting, and even without soy sauce, it was enjoyable. The flavors were strong, so it made me quite thirsty afterwards, but the satisfaction of eating sushi was worth it. The small and easy-to-eat sizes, along with the reasonable prices, make it a good option for outings or casual dining. It's a restaurant that can be used for everyday purposes.
