I entered the restaurant on Sunday around 11 o'clock and there were no other customers. The staff seemed unresponsive. There were many chicken dishes on the menu, and I ordered the chicken mayo rice set. The taste was neither good nor bad. There were two types of beer available, and the "Galaxy Highland Beer" I ordered had a banana-like flavor and was easy to drink. You can also buy it on Amazon, so I plan to drink it at home again.

Today's lunch was at "Cafe Mimosa" in Higashiyama Jingo-mon, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. It is a stylish cafe located in a building with stone paneling. The interior is spacious with tables lined up. The menu consists of various toppings for chicken tempura and a choice between pasta or keema curry. The pasta is a daily special, today it was seafood pasta with mentaiko butter sauce. I opted for the "Mochimochi Fresh Pasta SET" for 1600 yen. The set came with a small salad with flavorful dressing and sweet tomatoes, as well as a baguette with generous butter. The seafood pasta was delicious, with clams, squid, and seaweed in a flavorful mentaiko butter sauce. The fresh pasta was thick and chewy with a smooth surface. The cafe is a hidden gem away from the crowded tourist spots.

First of all, there was no "welcome" when I entered the restaurant. I was unsure if I could just sit at any table I chose, but since the staff didn't seem to be paying attention, I chose a seat on my own. When I asked about today's lunch menu, the staff just said "fried chicken" without even stopping to look at me. There was no smile and the words were lacking. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not bad and the food was decent, but if I'm going to be treated like that, I never want to go back again.

On Thursday at 3:30 PM, I went to Cafe Mimosa in Okazaki, Kyoto. I ordered a "Hot Coffee (400 yen)." It arrived 7 minutes later. The coffee had a balanced flavor with mild bitterness and acidity, making it easy to drink. The cafe is run by one person, so there were no particular features in terms of customer service. I wish they would be a bit more friendly and say "thank you" at least. Overall, it was a good experience.

I was invited by a friendly Tabelog reviewer to go to Dohito-san, a place I knew nothing about. Despite my lack of knowledge about the place, I confidently accepted the invitation and headed to Kyoto. Not wanting to risk being late to such a respectable establishment, I confirmed the location of the restaurant 30 minutes beforehand. When I arrived, I found the place after venturing further down the main street from Dohito-san. It was an area with not many shops, so I relaxed with a cup of coffee while adjusting my schedule. I entered Dohito-san just 5 minutes before our meeting time. Location: From Kyoto Station, walk along the Kamo River to Sanjo, turn right at Sanjo Bridge, then turn left at the first intersection and right at the second intersection (Niomon-dori). The restaurant is on your right just a short distance ahead.
