Yakiniku Hormone Bungo Nishiin branch. This yakiniku restaurant is located a 2-3 minute walk from Hankyu Nishiin Station in Kyoto! It is the second branch of Yakiniku Hormone Bungo, with its main branch in Tennoji, Osaka. The upper kalbi and shima chou melted in my mouth, and the yukke, which is recommended to finish in about 10 minutes, had a sweet and elegant taste that was superb. And for the finishing touch, be sure to try the garlic rice! Even though it's the end of the meal, it's so delicious that it stimulates your appetite. All the meats were of high quality and I was very satisfied.

Originally a chain restaurant that offered all-you-can-eat, this place has now transformed into a new restaurant featuring Bungo beef from Oita. On this day, we ordered Hanesita, Ichibo, Sotohira, Hiuchi, premium marbled tongue with salt, green onion tongue with salt, tsumami, liver, Wagyu yukke, and raw senmai, along with Chinese cabbage kimchi. This restaurant serves larger portions compared to others, so even though there were two of us, we ended up ordering too much. The basic condiments provided were washing sauce and lemon. When we asked the staff, they mentioned that there was no thick sauce available, so they mixed miso into the washing sauce to create a different sauce for us. Thank you very much. Particularly delicious were the premium marbled tongue with salt, Ichibo, Hanesita, and Sotohira. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the tsumami could be a bit thinner to enhance the flavor. I would like to visit again at a more leisurely pace next time!

I always used to go to the same places for yakiniku in Saiin, so this time I tried a newly opened restaurant! They were very accommodating even though it was close to closing time. The meat was delicious and they explained the recommended cuts in detail. Another great option for yakiniku in Saiin!
