Kyoto nights end early. Everywhere closes up... Especially with the added impact of Corona. Only Shijo Street, Karasuma, and Kiya-machi are still open at night. Found a yakitori restaurant! Clean and new-looking interior. The yakitori was part of a course with 5 skewers plus some extras, and the cutting edge was amazing! The rest of the menu was... (self-restrained). The tea-soaked dishes were heavenly.

Celebrating an away victory with yakitori at "Tenkadori" in Kyoto♪ After watching the away game of Avispa and checking into the hotel, I realized it was almost 8:00 PM. I ended up at "Tenkadori" along Shijo Street, as the other places I tried were all full. Later I found out it's actually a restaurant from the Kanto region. Oh well, let's focus on the celebration! I ordered a selection of chicken skewers for 1430 yen, including tsukune, sabiyaki, umeniku, tebasaki negima, yagen nankotsu, sunagimo, and bonjiri. I also added a glass of Tamano Hikari sake to get a taste of Kyoto. Despite going to the wrong restaurant, the victory of Avispa made everything okay!

I visited the restaurant on the eve of the Gion Festival. It has been a while since I last visited, and the food was incredibly delicious. I especially love salted dishes, and the way they grilled the Tenkadori chicken with salt was perfect. I think they use a special salt that is only used here because it is so delicious. Thank you for the meal. The owner and manager were also very friendly and made the dining experience enjoyable.

Vegetable salad is cheap, with a large portion, and delicious dressing.

I had the usual miso-grilled chicken breast and yagen cartilage, and it was delicious. The cabbage salad was also tasty. I'm on a diet, so I plan to go back and eat the same thing again (laughs).

I really like the miso-grilled chicken breast and the yagen cartilage with cartilage-filled tsukune! The liver was seasoned with a refreshing sauce, not just salt. It's a good combination. The drinks were so-so.

The miso-flavored chicken tenderloin skewers are recommended. It's great that they're open until 1 am. It's a perfect place to stop by after work. Since it's yakitori, there's less guilt (lol).

The salt is delicious and has a unique taste. I always eat 10 skewers of it.
