I brought home some karinto manju. The outside is crispy karinto and the inside is sweet red bean paste. It's best to eat it while the outside is crispy. If the pastry softens over time, you can reheat it in a 1000w toaster oven for about 1 minute and 30 seconds to enjoy the crispy texture again.

"Mochi-filled Senbei" was delightful, with such large pieces of mochi that it felt more like "Anko Senbei Mochi" (о´∀`о) I bought a few, but I forgot the details because I didn't post about it right away (ФωФ) I do remember wanting to buy it again though...【Memo】I like Mochi-filled Senbei.

I visited around 2 pm on Sunday. Despite the pandemic, I wanted to eat something sweet! There were quite a few customers, so it seems like many people feel the same way. I went to buy some cakes. The strawberry mousse, cute bear chocolate cake, baked cheesecake, and strawberry shortcake were all reasonably priced, around 400 yen each. Compared to trendy cake shops, these cakes are quite affordable. They are cute in appearance, with over 6 different types to choose from. While they may not have a luxurious taste, they are delicious with a comforting and familiar flavor. I made a point card, so I will visit again.

The taste was average for a cake shop in the city. The customer service was not very good, so that's why I gave this rating.

One day, I asked my friend if they had ever used Chateraise before. My friend said they had in the past and that it was good for buying in bulk. I mentioned that I wanted to try it out, which surprised my friend. A few weeks later, I went to Chateraise after feeling like having something sweet after a light lunch. The store was crowded, but the staff seemed a bit unfriendly. I ended up buying three items - isobe-yaki, mango pudding, and coffee jelly - for around 320 yen. The isobe-yaki was the best out of the three, with a unique texture. The coffee jelly had no flavor, and the mango pudding had fibrous mango pieces that made it hard to eat. Overall, the experience was not great, and the items didn't really suit my taste.

Today, I had dinner at the usual restaurant I always go to. Even though I had a hearty dinner, I suddenly felt like eating something sweet o(〃^▽^〃)o. On my way back home, I passed by a shop called "Chateraise" where they have affordable sweets that I like ☆彡 Since it was late, I was worried they might not have much left, but to my surprise, they had plenty of options that I could eat ☆-( ^-゚)v Plus, I found a fluffy roll with a red sticker on it, indicating a 30% discount because it was expiring today! Perfect for me since I planned on eating it right away anyway ☆彡 Such a great deal! (*^-^)b Thank you, red sticker! I visited the shop again on a different day, but there were no items with stickers on them this time. I also had their chocolate cake as usual, which was light and delicious (^_-)☆ I was very satisfied with my meal (^^♪ Thank you for the feast (^人^)

I moved from Kobe to Kyoto and didn't even know about Chateraise. I visited the Chateraise store in Higashinada Ward, Kobe for the first time. This time, I visited the store near my current home. The exterior is stylish, and my wife wanted to buy ice cream. It's affordable. It feels like the mid-Showa era (laughs). This will help us get through the summer. I have nothing more to write. Good night.^^v

Just a minute's walk from the bus stop "Shimotsu Hayashirokudanda", this shop next to Joyful catches your eye with its large storefront. The shop has a spacious parking lot, making it convenient for those arriving by car. Inside, a wide variety of Japanese and Western sweets are neatly displayed. Unlike many specialty sweet shops, the prices here are very reasonable, tempting you to try a little bit of everything. This time, I chose the "Half-Baked Souffle Cheese" (105 yen). This sweet treat looks very similar to the famous "Hanjuku Cheese" from "La Cote d'Azur" in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The "Hanjuku Cheese" from "La Cote d'Azur" is their most popular item, and I myself was once hooked on it. So when I saw this similar item, I had to buy it. The shop also sells frozen versions, so I followed the instructions to thaw it at 10°C or below for 4-5 hours (I actually left it in the fridge for about 4 hours). First, I tried the "Half-Baked Souffle Cheese (Cheese)". Cutting it with a fork felt more like cutting a rare cheesecake rather than the bubbly texture of "La Cote d'Azur's" "Hanjuku Cheese". The texture is moist and the cheese flavor is not too strong. Next, I tried the "Half-Baked Souffle Cheese (Chocolate)". Similar to the cheese flavor, cutting it felt like cutting a rare cheesecake, and the texture was moist. The chocolate flavor is not too intense either. However, the simple and unpretentious taste of these sweets might be the charm of this shop. Besides the "Half-Baked Souffle Cheese", Shatoreze offers a wide variety of other sweets, so I look forward to trying something different next time.

In June 2012, I visited a bakery that was said to have pastries similar to Kurata's obakona and hideko. I bought the butter, charcoal roasted coffee, and yuzu (42 yen) from Riem. The butter had a light and moist texture, with a subtle butter flavor and decent sweetness. The milk bean paste inside had a hint of white kidney bean taste but lacked a strong milk flavor. Compared to obakona, it felt less rich. The charcoal roasted coffee had the same texture and sweetness, with a strong coffee flavor from the charcoal. The yuzu had a similar texture and sweetness, with a generous amount of paste inside and a strong yuzu fragrance. Overall, they were reasonably tasty and very affordable, but Kurata's might be preferred for those who like a richer texture. In February 2012, I continued my search for the best baumkuchen in the Kyoto area. I bought the "Additive-free Baumkuchen SukoYaka no Ki" (126 yen) from this bakery. The rings were a bit thin but well-defined, without any added flavorings on the outer layer. It had a slightly subdued sweetness but a strong lemon peel flavor, with a slightly dry texture. Being additive-free, it felt safe to eat. Overall, it had a unique taste with a strong presence of lemon peel, which may appeal to those who enjoy that flavor. However, for those seeking a more traditional baumkuchen, this might be a bit unconventional. The fact that it is additive-free is a plus, making it a good choice for those who value that aspect.

It is a well-known chain store, but many people may still think of it as a cheap cake shop with a pink sign from the past. However, with the new brown-themed store, it has regained popularity. Since having children, I have been choosing additive-free sweets, so I am very grateful that Chateraise offers many additive-free options! The prices are reasonable, the desserts are delicious, and you can even buy both Western and Japanese sweets as well as light meals (such as pizza). I am very happy that they now offer discounts through a point card! The fresh egg pudding roll is amazing (^O^)/ It is best to let it sit at room temperature for a while or warm it in the microwave for about 5 seconds so that the cream inside becomes creamy and soaks into the sponge. It is extremely delicious! Be careful not to warm it too much, as the pudding may melt and disappear (laughs). The ice cream, pudding bars, cookie sandwiches, macarons, etc., are cheap and very tasty! The cost performance is quite good. I love the butter dorayaki in the Japanese sweets section. The yogurt is also recommended! I often use their decorated cakes for birthdays. Being able to draw a message on top of the cake with a chocolate pen when I don't have time to make one myself makes me feel like I made it myself, which is very much appreciated. Since you can buy a variety of items for a low price, it feels like you can cater to the recipient's preferences. It's a store I want to visit frequently!

This is my first visit since last year when I visited a factory in Yamanashi. Back then, it was summer and the all-you-can-eat ice cream was like paradise for the kids. This time, I visited the shop and the prices were very reasonable, so I told the kids they could buy whatever they liked. It felt like paradise all over again! They had a variety of options from ice cream to cakes to traditional Japanese sweets, so it was hard to decide. In the end, I chose a matcha dumpling with sweet red bean paste on top of it. The taste was amazing, with a strong matcha flavor and a light sweet red bean paste. I couldn't believe the quality for the price. Every item was like that, so I'm looking forward to my next visit. I'm glad this place is nearby... I really appreciate it. I wonder what I'll try next time...

When I feel like having sweets, I go to Chateraise. They have a wide variety of natural, additive-free sweets that are surprisingly cheap! I tend to end up buying a lot when I go there. Their cakes are displayed in the showcase and are much cheaper than regular cake shops. The flavors are simple and rustic, but the classic cakes are reasonably priced and comforting. It's about 70% cheaper than your average cake shop. They also have baked goods that last long, like Baumkuchen, homemade cookies, and gift boxes. It's perfect for when you visit a house with many children. They also have a selection of Japanese sweets like anko mochi, warabi mochi, yomogi mochi, yokan, and mitarashi dango. In Kyoto, Japanese sweets are usually expensive, but here you can buy them at surprisingly low prices. And they are delicious! They also have a wide variety of ice cream and candy that will lift your spirits. In the summer, I buy a lot of ice cream here because it's quite cheap! They have shoe ice cream, mini cup ice creams, fruit bars, macaron ice creams, and more. Just looking at them is fun! The staff is also friendly, polite, and I really like their service.

I visited the store to celebrate Hinamatsuri. It was 7:00 pm and the parking lot was full, with cars waiting on the street causing a little traffic. When I looked at the showcase, there were only 3 types of cakes left, instead of the usual 10 or more. They were running out fast. My child's favorite chocolate cake was not available, so I was about to leave. However, I saw them preparing a chocolate cake in the glass-walled kitchen. I ordered the chocolate cake and the remaining 3 types, and took them home. The chocolate cake was served quickly and it was delicious for the price. I would like to visit this shop again.
