Nishikyogoku is a place in Kyoto, Japan, known for the Kyoto City Nishikyogoku Comprehensive Sports Park. The park includes facilities like the Nishikyogoku Stadium, now known as the Wakasa Stadium Kyoto, where the Hankyu Braves used to play. It also has a track and field stadium, officially named the Kyoto City Nishikyogoku Comprehensive Sports Park Track and Field Stadium. The area is famous for high school ekiden races. Across the railway tracks is the Kyoto Aqua Arena, which includes a pool, ice skating rink, and archery field. Nearby is the Kyoto City Gymnasium, known as the Hannari's Arena, where you can find a stylish café on the first floor. Try the matcha soft serve ice cream at the Nishikyogoku Farmshop - it's delicious!

I went to watch the main game of Kyoto Sanga at Nishikyogoku Stadium. Unfortunately, it started raining lightly, so I had to eat the special bento I bought in a covered area to avoid the rain. The bento was traditional Japanese food, but it felt a bit lacking. So, I ended up buying fried chicken and french fries. In general, stadiums tend to have better food options closer to the entrance gates rather than right next to the stadium. Today, I didn't know the layout well, so I didn't buy food there. However, I noticed that they were selling cuisine from countries like Brazil, the Netherlands, the United States, and China as stadium snacks. This stadium may not have a wide variety of food options for a soccer stadium. Also, no matter the circumstances, enjoying a beer while watching soccer is always special! (^_^)v
