There were not many shops open at 11 o'clock, so I decided to go to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant for a quick meal. There was already one group of customers there. Despite that, the sushi was flowing well, and I enjoyed dishes like seared halibut, red snapper, and negi salt battleship sushi. You could also order specific items from a panel, such as crab tempura, seared mackerel, and scallops. The mackerel had some bones that bothered me, and the portions were a bit small, maybe due to a decrease in catch volume. By the time I finished eating before noon, the restaurant was bustling, with foreigners also enjoying the sushi.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on January 31, 2023, Tuesday. It's not common to have revolving sushi for lunch in the tourist city of Kyoto, so the place was quite empty. The interior was surprisingly small. I was unsure of what to order, but then I noticed they had a daily sushi assortment set for 780 yen, which also came with udon. I immediately ordered that. First, the udon arrived, followed by the sushi assortment! The sushi was delicious as expected! The udon was also decent. Overall, I thought it was an excellent choice for a quick lunch.

Wow, it's already 2:50 PM, I missed the timing for lunch. If I eat ramen at this time, the evening drinks won't taste as good. I don't have time to eat slowly either. Oh, but there's Daikisoen at times like this. I have a free red miso soup coupon, so I sat at the counter and when asked if I wanted clam miso soup or red miso soup, I hesitated but chose red miso soup because I shouldn't eat too much. I ordered just a little bit of sushi - tuna for 110 yen, and squid for 110 yen. It was so delicious. I quickly finished eating in 5 minutes and off to work. The red miso soup was free, so the total bill was 220 yen. That was a quick way to eat, but I shouldn't eat too much because I have to go to work right away, right?

It is semi-aquaculture, so it is said to be close to natural.

A few minutes' walk from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. I stopped by here today. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and there may be seats on the second floor as well because there are stairs. The menu is like a typical conveyor belt sushi restaurant. In this day and age, the belt is moving but there isn't much sushi on it. You order by calling the staff directly, not using a touch panel. Now, onto the food! First up is the tuna, but it was disappointing as it was not thawed properly. I was a bit worried if this was a sign of things to come, but the rest of the sushi was fine. The sushi is not priced at 100 yen each, so the size of the sushi is decent. It's better to snack lightly rather than eat until full. So, thanks for the meal. Since it's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the whole process from entering to leaving is smooth, so it's good even when you're in a hurry.

I tried to order the "tuna feast," but they were out of bintcho, so I couldn't. Instead, I got the "tuna trio" for 770 yen, which included fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, and lean tuna. Simply put, the fatty tuna was the best. By the way, it seems that Daiki Suisan sources their tuna from around the world. Thank you for the meal.

We did a 3-bar crawl, each bar only taking... 30 minutes!! Well, even if we wanted to take it slow... right? (;'∀') So, just now "Suiba Shijo Kawaramachi" and "Tomisushi" were full, but it's only been 30 minutes and both are still full (-_-;) Then my dad said, "We've had enough for today, let's grab some sushi on the way back." Once he mentioned sushi, my head and stomach were already in that mode. "Daiki Suisan Kaiten Sushi Shinkyogoku" my dad decided. "Oh, this place is just a chain restaurant, you know?" I protested, but my dad's mind was made up. So we had a little snack and finished. Total time spent, including the restroom, 15 minutes!! My dad left for the hotel ahead of me... Huh? It is located inside the Shin Kyogoku shopping street. There is a small shop with a conveyor belt sushi lane. The cost performance depends on the type of sushi. If you only eat 100 yen plates, you can eat for less than 1000 yen, which is enough for me. There are also plates priced at 150, 200, and up to 700 yen depending on the type of sushi. They also have a la carte menu. The price is determined by the color of the plate. The taste is average.

Recently, I've been seeing Daiki Suisan popping up everywhere, and now they have a location in Shinkyogoku as well. They offer incredibly cheap and delicious seafood tendon bowls, such as the daily seafood tendon and daily shrimp tendon, at unbelievable prices. This kind of price disruption may be putting pressure on the struggling eateries, similar to how supermarkets once crushed local shops in shopping streets. However, the deals are so good and the food surprisingly tasty, so it seems like they will have to come up with a way to compete. On this day, they were serving a mackerel tendon bowl.
