I decided to visit Kyoto Imperial Palace, which is not as popular as Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, or other famous temples in Kyoto. There is a McDonald's located right at the edge of the palace grounds, conveniently close to Marutamachi Station. I ordered a Filet-O-Fish, which I haven't had in a while. I realized I should have used the mobile order for takeout while on my way there. Luckily, there was no line at the McDonald's, and I got my order right away. The Filet-O-Fish tasted delicious after exploring the vast Kyoto Imperial Palace grounds.

I used a morning Mac coupon and got ¥100 off the Sausage Egg McMuffin Set. Personally, the Sausage Egg McMuffin Set is my favorite for breakfast at Mac. There are seating options on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and I chose a table on the 3rd floor. I enjoyed the Sausage Egg McMuffin Set while having my morning reading time. The non-fiction book I'm currently reading has entered an interesting phase. It is located at the intersection of Karasuma Marutamachi. The shop is quite spacious with multiple floors. There are counter seats on the second floor and table seats mainly on the third floor. It seems like they have a lot of takeout orders. After leaving Starbucks, I had some time left so I decided to move to this place. I sat on the third floor and ordered the Sausage Muffin set. I continued my reading time. Although I had eaten a bit too much since morning, maybe due to my morning run, I felt very hungry. Visited in April ☆ Even though it's April, it's hot! Taking a break for a moment. This time I ordered... Soft serve ice cream for 100 yen, and coffee for 100 yen. Review of the items... For the soft serve ice cream, I didn't want the cone so I asked if it could be served without it, and they said okay. However, it was served in a cup with less than half the amount, and looked sloppy. For the hot coffee, it had a bit of bitterness so I decided to have half with the soft serve ice cream to make an affogato. Overall... It's not good to just accept anything, right? It was not at all a good service. Although it was a break, I felt disappointed by the appearance and the service.

I was near Kyoto Imperial Palace - Marutamachi Station around 6 pm, so I decided to stop by McDonald's quickly. I ordered a large fries for 199 yen using a coupon. I love McDonald's fries, I always end up getting them! I have to be careful not to go over my calorie limit! I also got a small grape Fanta for 100 yen, which was refreshing in the humid weather. I went to Kyoto for a funeral and had McDonald's breakfast for the first time in a while. They have been really stepping up their morning menu lately. There was a new item called "Griddle" that I didn't understand, so I decided to try it. The "Griddle" is basically an Egg McMuffin where the bread is replaced with maple syrup-flavored pancakes. The pancakes on their own are delicious. I could eat as many as I want, even in the afternoon or evening. The not-too-sweet syrupy taste of the pancakes is really nice. However, personally, I didn't think the sweetness of the pancakes matched well with the saltiness of the bacon and cheese inside. It's not that I'm against mixing sweet and savory flavors. But because it's a burger, the sweetness of the bottom pancake overpowers everything else. The saltiness from the cheese and bacon doesn't stand out much. The trio of bacon, cheese, and egg goes better with the muffin. So, maybe eating the bread and fillings separately could work? That might be an option...

I always stop by the McDonald's near the prefectural office before going to the Red Cross. You can order with your phone, and it's nice to be able to sit and watch the cars passing by at the intersection of Karasuma Marutamachi. The location is the best advantage, being close to Marutamachi subway station and the Imperial Palace, and it's a good place to take shelter from the rain.

I went to McDonald's in Karasuma Marutamachi for lunch today. The store always has a long line during lunchtime, so I was curious to try it out. I used my shareholder discount coupon to get a good deal. The first floor was crowded with a narrow space at the front counter, so the line always spilled out onto the store premises. However, there were plenty of seats on the second and third floors, with customers coming and going constantly. I ordered the Value Set which included the Ebi Filet, side salad, and a large Qoo White Grape drink. The salad had lettuce, bell peppers, purple cabbage, and I chose sesame dressing. The Ebi Filet sandwich had shrimp patty and lettuce inside the bun, with a rich shrimp flavor throughout. It was delicious and a satisfying meal.

This is a hamburger chain restaurant located across from the southwest corner of Kyoto Imperial Palace. I always use my coupon here to get an iced coffee, which I then bring to enjoy in the beautiful spring scenery of the palace. Upon entering the restaurant, there is an order counter where things are processed in an orderly and efficient manner. I was advised to be careful when opening the lid of the iced coffee as the liquid tends to splash out. I wondered if they really filled it up so much, but it seemed more like an excuse. The coffee I enjoyed in the palace was quite lovely, taking into account the warmth of the day.
