I remember passing by this place before and wondering what Taiwanese chicken was. Recently, another similar shop opened nearby, so I decided to try it. I was surprised by the price - 600 yen seemed expensive, but the portion was huge, almost like a steak. It was too big to eat on the spot, so I brought it home to have with rice. I tried the chili lemon and original spice flavors, both of which were delicious. The crispy coating was a standout feature. I was very full after eating it. Next time, I'll try the curry flavor.

This is a new restaurant located right after entering Shin-kyogoku from Shijo. They offer castella, large chicken cutlets, and fried chicken, each with a separate counter. The large chicken cutlet alone costs 630 yen including tax. There were also alcohol sets available, but I decided to just order the cutlet. The ones in cups were sold out. I received a redemption ticket and waited in front of the shop for a while. At 19:47, my number was called and I received my order. Hmm, it's big. I thought I could eat it while walking, but it's definitely not a size for solo food-tasting adventures, haha. I didn't buy a bag, so I just used a paper bag. I managed to fit it into my Thermos lunch bag by closing the zipper (although the fried food smell is still faintly lingering... luckily the train was empty). When I got home and put it on a 20cm plate, it covered the plate completely. And for some reason, there were two pieces. I chose the Cajun flavor, so it was spicy and salty. It was delicious but made me really thirsty. It reminded me of when I ate this in Taiwan... I want to go back to Taiwan. I ate until I was really full. Thank you for the meal.

I found a trendy Taiwanese castella cake and Taiwanese fried chicken shop on Shinjuku Street. It was past 6 pm and they were already sold out of tapioca milk tea. The fried chicken was huge and seasoned simply with salt and pepper. It went really well with the meat's texture and the light oil. Highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

I went to Animate Kyoto for an event and on the way back, I felt like eating "Taiwanese flavors" so I stopped by a restaurant. Purchased items: Large chicken cutlet alcohol set x2 (my darling - lychee sour, me - mango beer). It reminded me of the food stalls I visited in Taiwan, bringing back nostalgic memories of that trip. It was a taste that made me reminisce.

It's that familiar thing you see at Taiwanese food stalls. And they've opened one in Shinkyogoku too. It's huge!!!
