This is a café located a 1-minute walk from Katsura Rikyu (Katsura Imperial Villa). The building has a bit of history to it, being a local favorite that has been in business for 30 years. It is run by a mother, with her daughter occasionally helping out. The daughter is a certified Kyoto guide and can speak English. When I visited, there were also German visitors having breakfast and conversing in English. The café has 4 tables. The menu includes breakfast until 11 am, as well as set menus with food and drinks. I ordered the following during my visit: Morning Set Menu (includes a mixed sandwich with Kyoto-style cooked egg) with the option to upgrade to café au lait for an additional 100 yen. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was delicious. It's a great place to stop by for breakfast when visiting Katsura Rikyu. There is a parking lot located across the entrance.
